  • The carefully prepared healthy cuisine, the clean and stylish Room, the luxurious amenities, and the bath where you can relax while listening to the gentle murmur of the river—everything was deeply satisfying and made for a truly wonderful stay. What left the strongest impression on me was the hospitality of all the staff. There were several international staff members as well, and seeing them serve guests earnestly in Japanese and make an effort to embrace Japanese culture was truly heartwarming. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

  • We stayed here to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and it was a deeply satisfying 3-day, 2-night stay that truly refreshed both body and mind in a nature-filled setting. The Room was very clean, and we enjoyed listening to the kajika frogs from the balcony and relaxing to the sound of the river as time passed slowly. The in-room bath was wonderful, but the open-air bath (Reservation required) was exceptional. Seeing fireflies after dinner on both nights became a lifelong memory. The meals—both dinner and breakfast—were simply outstanding. Everything was delicious, and we looked forward to every meal and finished every bite with excitement. Each dish felt like art, and it tasted just as amazing. Thank you for such a feast. The staff’s hospitality was truly top-class, and we felt comfortable from start to finish. What stayed with me most was after check-out: they saw us off and kept waving until our car disappeared from view. My sister and I left feeling genuinely grateful, and even after leaving the Ryokan, we remained filled with happiness. We would love to return whenever we need to soothe our hearts again.

Yamado is located right in the middle between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan. As a result, fresh ingredients from various regions gather here. We are delighted to serve you with specialty ingredients from the northeastern Tohoku region, including the "Ginsatsu" brand chicken developed in collaboration with Yamado in Nishiwaga, Iwate, and the "Shirokinton" brand pork, a pride of Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture.

Ingredients, hospitality. All with "the best service."

"For customers traveling from afar, we offer the best service and cuisine" - This is the sentiment shared by all Yamabito staff. We carefully prepare each dish, including fresh iwana fish, seasonal mountain vegetables, branded free-range chicken raised on our farm, seasonal produce, and premium mountain meat. We present "a taste and culinary experience unique to Yamabito."

Game meat image
The pinnacle of mountain blessings: 'Game Meat'

This area, stretching from Iwate to Aomori, is considered the birthplace of "Matagi." Matagi are true masters of the mountains, with unparalleled knowledge of nature. We source rare mountain game from them and dedicate extraordinary time and effort—many times more than usual—to craft it into exquisite culinary masterpieces.

Rare chicken 'Ginsetsu'
Rare chicken 'Ginsetsu'

In November 2017, the premium local chicken brand "Ginsetsu" was born in Nishiwaga, Iwate. Yamado played a role in its development. The rare local chicken "Nanbu Kashiwa" is raised stress-free in the cool summer climate and with mineral-rich snowmelt water. Through carefully researched processing methods, it has been crafted into <Local Chicken Ginsetsu>, renowned for its refined and exquisite flavor.

Drink image
Pay attention to the drinks as well.

Yamanin also takes pride in its beverages. We offer a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, including locally produced wines from Tohoku and craft beers. Additionally, for those who prefer non-alcoholic options, we provide "100% fresh juice" made solely from fruit juices.

Restaurant "福膳坊-fukuzenbo-"
Restaurant "Fukuzenbo"

Meals can be enjoyed at "Restaurant Fukuzenbo," offering a semi-private dining experience. For those who wish to enjoy the fresh outdoor air, terrace seating is also available. During the snowy season, illuminated igloos line up in front of you, enhancing the winter travel atmosphere.

To provide a more comfortable and higher-quality stay, we will be reviewing our services. In order to make your time in the Accommodation even more pleasant, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we will be making the following changes to certain services.

[1. Change to Welcome Drink Service] (Effective February 19, 2026)
Until now, we have delivered welcome drinks to your Room. Going forward, we will use that time for guidance and explanations so that we can assist you in a more relaxed manner.
Instead, we will increase the variety of tea bags provided in each guest room so you can enjoy them at your preferred time.

[2. Change to Usage Time for the Private Open-Air Bath “Yuba Issun”] (Effective March 1, 2026)

[3. Change to Reservation Method for the Private Open-Air Bath “Yuba Issun”] (Effective March 1, 2026)
Previously, Reservations for the private open-air bath were taken in order at check-in; however, depending on the time of day, reception could become crowded and some guests arriving later had to wait.
To improve this situation—reducing wait times during busy periods and enabling smoother guidance to your Room—we will change the Reservation method.

Going forward, you will scan a QR code with your smartphone and make a Reservation from your Room.
The number of available slots remains unchanged: up to two slots per guest room—one on the check-in day and one the following morning.
