  • Matsumoto’s Finest Luxury City Hotel

    Having lived in Matsumoto for several years, I always choose this Hotel, which is well known locally as the city’s top luxury hotel. Because it is often used for parties by local business and political circles, the clientele is pleasant and the service is consistently high quality. I stayed during the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, so many people from the music world were also noticeable. The Facility and Room are not brand-new, but they are clean and well maintained. I also always look forward to using the Shuttle Service to enjoy the Onsen at Hotel Shoho (a sister property). The executive lounge is comfortable as well, offering cake in the afternoon and sake, wine, and snacks after 5:30 p.m. Considering this level of quality, the price is reasonable, so I highly recommend it for its great value.

  • The lounge is comfortable.

    I stayed one night to visit Matsumoto Castle. The positive breakfast Reviews were the deciding factor, but it was a bit of a walk to the castle. Using the Executive Floor lounge was very comfortable. I was soothed by the delicious fresh Shinshu juice, and even during cocktail time I enjoyed it mixed with wine. The breakfast I had been looking forward to also met my expectations—especially the omelet and soba, which were excellent. Next time, I will definitely choose the Executive Floor again. Thank you for your warm hospitality before check-in.

    Notice Regarding the Introduction of the Accommodation Tax in Nagano Prefecture

    A Nagano Prefecture Accommodation Tax will be introduced at all Accommodations within Nagano Prefecture to support tourism promotion, conservation of the natural environment, and improvements to public transportation.
    Accordingly, for stays at our Hotel from June 1, 2026 onward, we will charge the Accommodation Tax separately from the Accommodation Fee as outlined below. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

    Start date: From check-in on Monday, June 1, 2026
    - Even if your Reservation was confirmed on or before May 31, 2026, stays from June 1 onward are subject to taxation.

    Accommodation Fee per person per night: JPY 6,000 or more (excluding consumption tax): JPY 200
    Accommodation Fee per person per night: Less than JPY 6,000 (excluding consumption tax): Not taxable
    - The Accommodation Fee does not include meal charges, consumption tax, Hot Spring Tax, etc.
    - For the first three years after the system starts, a reduction measure applies and the tax is reduced from the originally planned JPY 300 to JPY 200.

    The Accommodation Tax will be settled together with your Accommodation Fee at check-out.
    - Even if you have already paid your accommodation charges via Online Credit Card Payment or similar methods, the Accommodation Tax must be paid separately at the front desk on site.

    This is a non-statutory purpose tax intended to protect Shinshu’s rich natural environment and help develop a more attractive tourist destination.
