    This was our fifth stay.The service from the international staff during meals was excellent.Their Japanese was very good, and they spoke clearly, which made it easy for us seniors to understand.The portion sizes were just right, and the dashi broth was outstanding.We will be back again.

  • A Trusted Member of the Noguchi Kanko Group

    I was looking for an Accommodation on short notice after unexpectedly getting time off, and I came across a great-value “limited-condition” Plan, so I made a Reservation. *In the end, there were no inconveniences at all due to the “limited condition”—it was simply a great deal.*To be honest, I stayed without doing much research, so it was only at check-in that I learned this is part of the Noguchi Kanko Group.I was impressed that my past stay history within the Noguchi Kanko Group Hotels was properly shared.I’ve always been highly satisfied with the dining at other group Hotels/Ryokan I’ve stayed at, and this time was no exception—I was very satisfied.The standard kaiseki course is excellent, but what I especially recommend is upgrading the rice. It costs extra, but it doubles your overall satisfaction with the meal.Regarding dinner: even though salt, wasabi, and several sauces were provided for the meat dish, there were only three slices of meat—so I couldn’t fully enjoy all the condiments. It felt a bit wasteful. This may be a selfish request, but I’d be happy if there were more slices.For breakfast, I enjoyed plenty of “Fukkurinko” rice (also served in JAL First Class), which gave me a great start to the day.While parts of the building do show its age in places, many areas have been renovated. In the Room we stayed in this time, there were no inconveniences at all.Most noteworthy is the sauna by the scenic open-air bath. The flow—Onsen → sauna → cold bath → relaxation area → water station—is perfectly designed with zero wasted movement.I heard there is no chiller for the cold bath, but it was still ice-cold. The sauna stove is also Harvia’s Legend series, so temperature-wise it’s spot on.On this day, men could use the scenic open-air bath during nighttime hours—and importantly: **the sauna is available even late at night!** *Please note: usage hours for men and women change depending on odd/even days.*Lastly, it truly saddens me to see some thoughtless Reviews about foreign staff members.Their service is wonderful as they work hard every day, and I have great respect for them speaking such difficult Japanese.
