I had wanted, at least once, to step into “Salon Yamasato,” the private lobby lounge of Koshinosato—I've felt that way for the past 10 years. Although this is a historic Onsen Ryokan, the property is impeccably maintained throughout, and we felt thoughtful attention to detail and quality in every corner. It was very spacious, with plenty of room for each of us to relax comfortably, while also being perfect for gathering together as a family to chat and enjoy tea and sweets. And finally, the greatest highlight here is definitely the Onsen! There are many different types of baths on site—so many that we seriously discussed “the best order” to try them all (laughs)! We were so busy enjoying the Onsen that we didn’t have time to relax with drinks in the lounge. That just gives us an excuse to come back.
