I recently traveled to Hakone. I was unsure which Hotel or Ryokan to choose, but I decided on Mitake-san because they offered in-room dining that looked delicious in the photos and had a private open-air bath option. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by adorable cats and kind staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful and happy two days in Hakone. I hope to visit again within this year!

Due to heavy rain that day, parts of the Sanriku Expressway were closed, and we somehow managed to arrive without knowing that this Accommodation had also lost power. We later learned that the power outage meant the Accommodation’s landline was unavailable, so a front desk staff member tried to contact us from their mobile phone—but because it was an unfamiliar number, we accidentally blocked the call (we’re very sorry...). It seems they were calling to let us know that they might not be able to prepare dinner since our plan included breakfast and dinner. Even though other guests had eaten out for dinner, they kindly worked hard to prepare dinner for the two of us, which we truly appreciated. We are very sorry for the trouble. The grilled hirasa served at dinner was especially delicious. The Room is old, but it was properly cleaned and comfortable. We could only use Ono Kenko no Yu at night, so we used the indoor bath in the building in the morning; it was quite lukewarm, but there was a sauna, so we warmed up there before getting out (perhaps due to the power outage...). Since we arrived in the evening, we first saw the view in the morning—there were beautiful wide-open pastures stretching out before us. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the milk and yogurt. We would like to come again and take our time if we have another chance. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Located about 20 minutes by car from the city center. The property is barrier-free and well-maintained. There were many dead insects, possibly due to a long period of non-use since our last visit, but other than that, there were no issues. If the Room remains unused for an extended period, a quick cleaning (even just vacuuming) would make it even better. This time, we borrowed a vacuum cleaner from the laundry Room and cleaned it ourselves. There were sprays provided as well, which we used, but they didn’t seem very effective... It might be helpful to analyze why insects are getting in. (Since the place is kept clean otherwise, it’s unfortunate that this issue could affect its rating.) We didn’t meet any staff in person, but when we asked questions via LINE, they responded promptly and politely. We’d love to stay here again!

I stayed for 3 nights. The condominium was comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and kitchenware. The bathroom had a drying facility, and it was convenient to dry clothes in about 2 hours after washing them in the Room's washing machine. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from Nago City Hall, and traveling by highway bus was not inconvenient. There’s also a convenience store next door, and I’d love to stay here again!

In a great location close to both the downtown area and the port, the Room also comes with a washing machine and a bathroom dryer. If I had to ask for one more thing, a drying rack would be ideal for hanging diving gear after a dive, but considering the price, I can’t complain. The Room was clean, and the bed was large and comfortable.

Excellent convenience as it is close to the city center. However, I was dissatisfied that terrestrial TV channels were not available.

I had a very comfortable stay. I will definitely use it again when I visit for work.

It’s probably quite old. The air conditioning is centrally managed for the entire building, and the HVAC noise was a bit noticeable, but overall it was well maintained and generally clean. The bed in the Room I stayed in was a semi-double size and very comfortable, and the bathroom/toilet area was also spacious. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet, but it was more than sufficient. This time I stayed for two nights, and it made for a great trip.

It seems this property can be used as either a love hotel or a Business Hotel. I really appreciate that the rooftop sauna is free to use! I also appreciate that alcoholic drinks and snacks are available for free! Breakfast is generous and quite tasty! This is a Hotel I can recommend!

A charming, nostalgic Showa-era Accommodation. I stayed here on the way back from Kamikochi with a foreign friend who wanted to experience a traditional Japanese Accommodation, and this place was perfect. My friend was very satisfied. The guest room was quite old, but they appreciated that as part of the charm. The bath had retro tiled walls and featured a fairly hot Onsen, which they enjoyed. The meals were also very delicious.

We stayed one night with breakfast and dinner included as a family of three. The location is quiet, and the building and Room are clean and not particularly old. However, it seems the property was originally a retreat facility, so even though it’s called a Hotel, there is no shop or entertainment Facility. There are also no convenience stores or drugstores nearby. The meals were very delicious, but they were not buffet-style; they were served as a kaiseki course, with dishes brought out in order from appetizers to dessert. Meal times were fixed (breakfast at 7:30 and dinner at 18:30). Dinner in particular was quite early for us, and we couldn’t finish everything because we weren’t hungry enough yet. The person who seemed to be the chef looked Middle Eastern/Arab, but both the food and service were excellent. The bath water is natural Onsen water and was wonderful. The bathing area isn’t large, but even with six people using the washing area, the showers were manageable. As for the Room, if I had to mention something minor, one of the small light bulbs didn’t turn on. There is air conditioning (central), but even in August it was cool at night, so we could sleep with it off. Overall it was clean and a good stay, but not being able to choose meal times felt like having to fit the Hotel’s schedule. It seemed there were several groups staying there, but only one other group besides us had two meals included; most guests appeared to be No Meals Included. If you stay No Meals Included, note that most restaurants along the lakeside close by early evening. There are also cup noodles available in the vending machine on the first floor.

It was a quiet, standalone Accommodation. All the staff were pleasant, and the food was very delicious. I also liked that they used Okura China coffee cups (perhaps because there is an Okura outlet in Karuizawa). The Room consisted of two rooms—a bedroom and a Japanese-style room—unified in beige tones, giving a neat and clean impression. There were two open-air baths, which seemed like they may have originally been private open-air baths for guest rooms. They were hinoki-wood baths with plenty of hot water. However, it seemed I was the first to use them that day, so the water was extremely hot and I couldn’t soak for long. The large public bath was also free-flowing from the source and had a more comfortable temperature than the open-air baths. Dinner was Western-style. Everything was delicious, including the seaweed salad, assorted terrines, grilled char (meunière), and roast beef. Breakfast was Japanese-style. Overall it’s a good Hotel, but perhaps due to the location there were many stink bugs. There were about 10 dead ones on the window frame in my Room, and I felt they probably weren’t from that day. Also, I noticed some staining on the washbasin. If these two points are improved, I think it would be an even better Hotel. Overall, it’s a Hotel I would like to visit again.

Although it was slightly chilly in the mornings and evenings, it was a hot day even in mid-October in Hakuba. The building was old, but it was well-cleaned. However, there were about 5 to 6 stink bugs in the Room, and we dealt with them each time. According to the guidebook in the Room, we peacefully resolved the issue (lol) by letting them out of the Room. The meals, both lava-grilled and sukiyaki, were delicious. And the ice-cold draft beer was the best. This time, I stayed with a slight leg injury, but it was a bit difficult as there was no handrail to go up to the second floor. If there were handrails or if it were possible to sleep on the first floor, it might provide peace of mind for elderly guests.

This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again.

I was able to relax in a tatami Room on a futon. The Onsen temperature was just right for me. The Keroyon washbasin brought back memories of old-fashioned public baths. The Facility has a strong Showa-era feel, but it was well cleaned, and all the staff were courteous, so I had a very pleasant stay. The toilet and washroom are shared, so as long as that doesn’t bother you, I don’t think there will be any issues. Thank you very much for your kind assistance!

We stayed as a group of three: two adults and one elementary school boy. As many others have mentioned, the food was absolutely amazing. Even for us, a couple with big appetites, there was so much food that we couldn't finish it all. The fresh sea bream and spiny lobster sashimi were incredibly delicious. The fried shrimp was perfectly crispy with a light batter, served freshly fried. It was even better than the spiny lobster fry we had at a famous lunch spot earlier that day! For breakfast, they kindly made sunny-side-up eggs for me when I mentioned I don't like raw eggs, which was very thoughtful. The owner, hostess, and even their staff (perhaps their daughter?) were all so warm and welcoming. It felt like they truly valued "once-in-a-lifetime encounters." Although the building and facilities are old, everything was sparkling clean, making our stay very comfortable. We were told there wouldn't be a toilet in the room but were pleasantly surprised to find a clean toilet in our room after all. The futons were fluffy and comfortable—perfect for someone like me who has back pain. The bath uses Onsen water that left us feeling warm and relaxed; of course, it was also impeccably clean. If we visit the Ise area again in the future, we would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you for such an enjoyable time!

My sister and I planned a SUP trip at Lake Aoki, and this Hotel is where we ended up. It was absolutely the right choice! We’re already talking about coming back in ski season. The Room was spacious, with a view of Lake Aoki from the window. The bathroom and other water facilities were clean and pleasant, and we had a very comfortable stay. Both dinner and breakfast, carefully prepared with local ingredients, were high quality—wonderful in both taste and atmosphere. The staff were full of hospitality and kindly helped us with our questions. In addition to the Shuttle Service from the station, they also provided Shuttle Service to the SUP meeting point, which was incredibly helpful.
