I used this place for my fishing expedition in Shimane. The location is excellent, situated between Hamada and Oda, making it a very nice spot. I will definitely come again next time.

We stayed here with our family of four for a memorial service. We stayed in a spacious 20-tatami Room on the second floor, which was connected to another Room with a kotatsu, so it felt very open and comfortable. The place has the relaxing atmosphere of a countryside grandmother’s home. The garden trees were well maintained and lovely to look at. We did not add meals, but there are many restaurants inside the nearby AEON mall, so we had no trouble finding places to eat. Also, we were told the bath is not an Onsen but mineral spring water, and it was gentle and didn’t leave us feeling fatigued afterward. The tub is about the right size for around three people. The water was quite hot, so we added cold water as we soaked. There is no elevator in the building, so it may be difficult for elderly guests. There may be guest Rooms on the first floor as well, so if you plan to stay, it’s best to check with the Accommodation in advance.

I visited in early spring and early summer before, but this was my first time staying during midsummer. Despite expecting large crowds, the Hotel staff's prompt responses and thoughtful care allowed me to enjoy a relaxing stay without any issues. The beach was relatively crowded, but I could leisurely enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the morning or evening. The restaurant service and meal quality were consistently excellent, offering a wide variety of Japanese-Western fusion dishes that changed daily. The marine services were also well-equipped, allowing me to enjoy various sports within the Hotel premises. I would definitely like to visit again!

I stayed here the night before a mountain hike. Although we had communicated by email in advance, they kindly welcomed me even though I arrived after 11:00 PM, which was a great help. It’s also close to the downtown area, so next time I’d like to check in earlier and enjoy the city. I’d love to stay again.

We stayed with four people, using two twin Rooms. The Rooms were clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. A simple breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus: several kinds of bread, boiled eggs, orange juice, milk, and coffee. It was more than enough for me. Great value for money—we’ll stay again!

I stayed for one night. The kettle was broken and I couldn’t use it, so although instant coffee was provided, I wasn’t able to drink it. The Room was very clean and had two separate areas—one by the bed and one by the sofa. There is no TV, but I was able to relax and enjoy a quiet stay. I also enjoyed the Onsen and was satisfied.

This is a historic, long-established Onsen Ryokan, but the baths and Rooms have been renovated, so we were able to relax comfortably. The meals were also delicious, enjoyed while appreciating both mountain and seafood specialties. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

It was a quiet, standalone Accommodation. All the staff were pleasant, and the food was very delicious. I also liked that they used Okura China coffee cups (perhaps because there is an Okura outlet in Karuizawa). The Room consisted of two rooms—a bedroom and a Japanese-style room—unified in beige tones, giving a neat and clean impression. There were two open-air baths, which seemed like they may have originally been private open-air baths for guest rooms. They were hinoki-wood baths with plenty of hot water. However, it seemed I was the first to use them that day, so the water was extremely hot and I couldn’t soak for long. The large public bath was also free-flowing from the source and had a more comfortable temperature than the open-air baths. Dinner was Western-style. Everything was delicious, including the seaweed salad, assorted terrines, grilled char (meunière), and roast beef. Breakfast was Japanese-style. Overall it’s a good Hotel, but perhaps due to the location there were many stink bugs. There were about 10 dead ones on the window frame in my Room, and I felt they probably weren’t from that day. Also, I noticed some staining on the washbasin. If these two points are improved, I think it would be an even better Hotel. Overall, it’s a Hotel I would like to visit again.

This is our third year in a row staying here! Camping in a camper van at this price is unbeatable value. I definitely recommend booking with both breakfast and dinner included! Unlimited fishing and sea activities, a BBQ with plenty of meat and vegetables, a complimentary Onsen voucher, campfires, and you can even see shooting stars at night! Breakfast changes every year—things like baked apples and hot sandwiches—so we never get bored and keep coming back. We went with three families, and the staff placed our camper vans close to each other, so we could all stay together and have a great time. Thank you very much! For the sea activities, we kept asking for kayaks and SUP one after another, but they kindly brought out all kinds of equipment without any hesitation—we really appreciated it. The life jacket rental was also very helpful. We enjoyed so many things this year, but it’s also absolutely worth staying here even if you do nothing but relax and watch the ocean. Watching the sunrise is great too! There are toilets and shower rooms, and hand soap is provided as well. I’m sure managing everything isn’t easy, but our kids always say “Summer means Nagasakibana!” so we look forward to coming again next year!

The Room and bathroom were a bit small, and the air conditioning wasn’t very strong, but for this location and price, I can say everything was OK. Of course it would be even better if those points were improved, but you can have a wild time here, and considering the value for money, I was very satisfied! I recommend bringing supplies for minimal self-catering. We also stopped by the on-site café and enjoyed some delicious light meals. They were kind to our dog as well, and the staff were bright and wonderful. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We’ll be back!

The Room was clean, and the simmered golden eye snapper for dinner was delicious—everything was excellent. The clear soup was also served at the perfect temperature and tasted great. Breakfast was very enjoyable as well. This is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

A traditional and charming Ryokan. The calm and nostalgic atmosphere (like visiting grandparents' house) brought back childhood memories. There were plenty of manga, and we enjoyed complimentary Yame tea and coffee, spending a relaxing time. The restroom was very clean and comfortable. The family bath was spacious, allowing us to enjoy it at ease. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the open-air bath. Nearby, there is a highly-rated yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy local meat at reasonable prices—it was fantastic! The owner and his mother were very kind, making our stay incredibly pleasant. Thank you so much! We look forward to staying again in the future!

The meals were delicious, and we truly enjoyed each dish. They kindly accommodated our request to start breakfast earlier. It was a great help. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

Because the door is a bit unique, I was nervous at first, wondering if I had the wrong entrance. But once I passed through the gate, nature opened up and it was exciting. Since the car park and the Accommodation are separated, those with a lot of luggage should be careful not to forget anything. The Accommodation was clean. It was a little disappointing that there were no hangers in the room. As for the toilet and bath, you have to step outside once to get there, so at night I couldn’t bring myself to go out because I could hear what sounded like distant howling (lol). Still, since they are private facilities—unlike places where you share with other guests—I think it’s more than sufficient. There are also many Facilities you can use for free, such as a terrarium experience, a basketball hoop, a sauna, and a pool; depending on the season, there may be more than enough to keep you busy. I had assumed we might be able to interact with the horses too, but when it came to the ranch area I only heard them and never actually saw them, which was disappointing. For meals, we were satisfied being able to enjoy BBQ using our private grill! It’s not a luxury-style glamping Accommodation, but I think it’s just right for enjoying nature and a camping vibe in a clean environment at an affordable price.

We stayed with four adults. As expected from an Accommodation that prides itself on broker-sourced cuisine, every fish dish was delicious. The whole flounder sashimi was especially impressive! The grilled fish at breakfast was also excellent. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we had a very comfortable stay. The building is old, but it is kept clean. The toilets are shared: two Japanese-style and one Western-style (no washlet). There were no bath towels; instead, plenty of face towels were provided.

The Room and building may feel a bit old, but the Room offers a view of the sea, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to relax and enjoy time with my dog. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations with their delicious taste and generous portions, leaving us completely satisfied! The breakfast performance of grilling horse mackerel at the table was especially fantastic. Many of the staff members are from overseas, but they provided excellent service with warm smiles and great attentiveness. I would love to stay here again with my dog!

We were deeply impressed by the hospitality that cannot be experienced at ordinary accommodations. Our child, who loves fishing, was kindly guided when catching Amago and rainbow trout at the fishing pond. The BBQ had a perfect balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. Breakfast was a typical Japanese meal but reflected meticulous care in its preparation. The manager played with us using rubber band guns and bamboo dragonflies, which our child found incredibly fun. Even though we stayed at other accommodations during this trip, our family still talks about how much they enjoyed their time at this riverside accommodation even a month later.

About 25 years ago, I visited the Katsuura Morning Market with my children and had a great time, so I went again this time. This time it was the three of us: my wife, my mother-in-law, and me. Both Katsuura Beach and the morning market were close by, so the location was perfect. There was no large public bath—only an in-room bath (available 24 hours)—and it wasn’t an Onsen, which was a bit disappointing, but my mother-in-law was very satisfied. Dinner was Japanese-Western (French? Italian?), and I felt a little sorry for my mother-in-law, but she seemed happy with it, so all good. The photos include some taken while we were eating and even after we finished (lol).

We stayed for one night with breakfast included. The Accommodation accepts only three groups per day, and the bath and toilets are shared; however, the bath is a private family-bath style. Since we have a daughter who dislikes large public baths with strangers, this was the deciding factor. We were able to book a two-room suite-style Room, with a separate living area and bedroom—spacious and relaxing. Perhaps because it used to be a traditional restaurant, the entrance area of the Room (shoe-off space) is open, and each Room is secured by locking its sliding doors (fusuma). The locks are screw-type locks for sliding doors rather than typical cylinder door locks, so younger guests unfamiliar with them may be confused at first (as our kids were). Also likely due to the building’s traditional structure—with fusuma and shoji screens—soundproofing is somewhat limited, and TV noise or conversations can be heard from the hallway (according to our daughter). That said, the property itself is generally quiet. The layout also seemed designed with noise in mind—for example, keeping relaxation spaces separated. There was one other family with small children staying that day, but it didn’t bother us. There is no washbasin inside the Room; instead, paper cups are provided at the sinks in the bath area and by the toilets for brushing teeth and washing up. Everything was well maintained and pleasant to use. Breakfast the next morning was served in a large hall on the second floor. It was an excellent Japanese-style breakfast—delicious.
