It was my first time staying in a villa to celebrate a birthday, and everything from the view to the interior was absolutely stunning. The amenities were well-prepared, and we had such a wonderful time! We even said to each other, "We can't stay at an ordinary Hotel anymore." It was such an amazing space to enjoy. I would love to stay here again!

After my first stay in April, I became completely captivated by Kito Nasu and decided I absolutely had to visit again within the year. This was my long-awaited second stay! Last time, I stayed for one night, but it wasn’t enough to fully enjoy this wonderful place, so this time I stayed for two nights! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a delightful blend of wood and incense scents that make you want to take a deep breath. The sauna was as amazing as ever!! The layout is well thought out, and the fresh air makes outdoor cooling sessions incredibly refreshing. If you're experienced with lighting wood saunas, it’s easy to get started; even if it’s your first time, there’s a clear manual provided so anyone can do it quickly! The bathroom amenities are thoughtfully stocked with MUJI products. There’s not only a hairdryer but also a hair iron available. While there is just one mirror in the space, it's spacious enough for two people to use comfortably. I absolutely love the Aqua Feel bath that amazed me during my last visit—it makes you want to soak endlessly! (This time I used it five times!) The washing machine and gas dryer are super convenient; they even provide high-quality fabric softener that leaves your laundry warm, fluffy, and wonderfully fragrant after every wash. The restroom plays soothing music when seated and has its own handwashing area—very convenient—and yes, even the restroom smells great! The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances including a large refrigerator and plenty of stylish tableware. Everything here exceeds expectations—it feels like every “wouldn’t it be nice if they had this” has already been anticipated at Kito Nasu. Personally speaking, I don’t think there’s another private accommodation as charming as this one anywhere else. I’ve already started planning my next trip while searching through social media for similar private accommodations like Kito Nasu—but nothing compares so far! So now I'm thinking about visiting again early next year—this time for three nights! It truly feels like a second home where each visit makes you want to stay longer—a very relaxing accommodation. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

This was our second stay, and we visited as a couple. Once again we stayed in the WEST building (my favorite, with a stone sauna). It’s a private villa-style Accommodation with high walls, so you can relax without worrying about the surroundings. When we opened the door, even the long hallway was nicely heated and warm, and the living room was cozy too. And this time there were complimentary drinks in the fridge—Pocari Sweat, mineral water, Perrier, and more—which was a lovely added service! The new cold plunge pool had been filled with hot water this time, so we could soak slowly as if it were an open-air bath—it felt amazing. Part of it is deep enough to submerge up to your neck, so you do need to be careful, but it was a bath experience you don’t often find elsewhere. And another major new addition—the cave-like sauna we’d been looking forward to—lets you lie down inside; my sauna-loving husband was thrilled and said the tea löyly aroma was wonderful. This time we also booked an on-site private chef for the first time. Dinner started with appetizers and soup, followed by sea bream with perfectly crisped skin served with an orange butter sauce; the wagyu came with nori and a red wine sauce—everything tasted incredible. The strawberry mille-feuille dessert and fromage blanc ice cream were outstanding!! We were completely satisfied being able to savor such a luxurious course at our own pace. Breakfast was also very filling: a generously stuffed sandwich, two kinds of quiche, plus strawberries and yogurt—an excellent professional-quality meal that we fully enjoyed. Everything was delicious. We were also impressed by how gently the chef explained each dish (almost like whispering) and how smoothly everything came together. The stylish black-themed space and interior are wonderful every time we visit. The latest Facilities and high-end appliances can take some getting used to if you don’t read the manuals carefully, but everything—from tableware to decor—is tasteful, making it easy to spend special time comfortably at your own pace. Just one thing: I mistakenly thought the chef would arrive at 16:00; in reality they arrived at 17:30 and dinner started at 18:30. I regret not confirming in advance—I might have been able to enjoy my beloved stone sauna a bit more while waiting. Highly recommended for anyone who loves saunas or stone saunas—and for those who want a special dining experience in an extraordinary setting! We stayed last time at the end of summer and had great fun using the pool at night too, so we’d love to come again in summer.

Enjoy nature in the open-air bath, and savor the exquisite cuisine crafted by a French-trained chef that never fails to impress. A wonderful accommodation with heartfelt hospitality where you can truly relax.

It was another comfortable stay. We apologize for the trouble caused by my friend’s forgotten item, and we truly appreciate your kind and attentive support. The breakfast we were looking forward to was exactly as expected—both the fresh juice and the rice were delicious. We enjoyed a hearty meal with an extra serving of rice before heading out sightseeing. We also appreciated the quiet atmosphere, as well as the lounge in the evening and the coffee service in the morning. In Kyoto we end up walking a lot, so it was wonderful to relax in the spacious bathtub to ease our tiredness, then unwind and chat in the lounge. This is a Hotel in Gion with great access for getting around on foot. We will visit again.

The meals were plentiful and delicious—we were very satisfied!!

I visited again to enjoy the sauna. As always, this pension is very comfortable. The dog-friendly Room is spacious and cozy. The sukiyaki with horse meat for dinner was delicious, with tender meat. I had a delightful conversation with a couple from Niigata during the meal. Hearing about their efforts until the smelt fishing season opens made me appreciate being able to enjoy safe and fun smelt fishing. I plan to visit again at the end of the year and next year for smelt fishing!

I always stay here. It’s conveniently located for getting anywhere, and there are several parking options nearby. It’s especially close to the izakaya “Hidesuke,” so even after drinking, you can be back in about five minutes. Having a supermarket right behind the property is also very convenient.

From the reservation stage, the owner made various thoughtful arrangements to accommodate food allergies. The hotel interior features a rare piano, paintings, and beautiful furnishings, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. Each dish was prepared with care and was both gentle and delicious. A deer figurine welcomes you as you step into the entrance. Next to the noren curtain at the men’s bath is a nostalgic vending machine with small shampoo & conditioner bottles, razors, and more. The retro lighting above the sink in the Room adds to the charm. It was a clean, calming Accommodation that retains the atmosphere of a classic Showa-era Hotel in Hokkaido. This time, we stayed with our dog. At the dining area where you can spend time together with your dog, we enjoyed wild mountain vegetables and a rare simmered oshorokoma (white-spotted char). The fresh venison was also very delicious. A Hotel we’d love to visit again!

We had a wonderful time with our beloved dog, Hana! The bath was great! Dinner was very filling!! Breakfast was delicious too!!! We’ll definitely stay again.

We arrived by rental car. At first, even with Google Maps we couldn’t find the Accommodation’s parking area and were a bit confused, but when we called the Accommodation, a staff member came to pick us up right away. Everyone on the staff was kind and pleasant. The meals were also delicious. No matter the time of day, the view from our Room of Onomichi’s townscape and Senkoji Temple was truly beautiful. We did notice some noise from footsteps in the hallway and doors opening and closing, but we were still able to rest well. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Onomichi. Thank you very much.

I stayed here for a hometown artist’s triumphant return concert at Koshien. Above all, it was the closest Hotel to the venue, which was extremely helpful for elderly guests. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they kindly stored our luggage after checkout, allowing us to enjoy sightseeing nearby. Thank you very much.

The in-Room dining tasted great, and the portions were very satisfying! If I had to say one thing, it would be perfect if the time between courses could be a bit shorter. I ended up feeling full while waiting (lol). The open-air bath in the Room was also amazing—I think I used it about 10 times (lol).

For our summer trip to Shimane Prefecture, we chose Matsudairakaku based on everyone’s Reviews. The spacious, spotless Room connected to the garden was wonderful, and dinner was truly more than we could finish—we looked forward to it every night. They also had a great selection of local sake, and we ended up drinking a bit too much. When sightseeing, they shared recommended routes that only locals would know. On our last day, since we had an early departure, they kindly prepared breakfast earlier for us as well—we apologize for the inconvenience. Everything was perfect, and it made for a fantastic trip to Shimane. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Thank you for having us for one night on Saturday. In short, as everyone says, the value for money is in a league of its own. The Facility is undeniably old and worn (so it may not suit those who are very particular about cleanliness), but the meals, baths, and service are all excellent. The food in particular felt very Yamagata—side dishes that go perfectly with rice. Considering the distance from Shinjo, the Shuttle Service also seems offered regardless of profitability. I imagine running this family business is incredibly demanding, yet they stay cheerful—it was genuinely moving. I want to support an Accommodation like this, though it’s a tricky balance since too many guests could lead to a decline in service quality. We also enjoyed our conversation during the Shuttle Service ride—it was very relaxing! My No. 1 Accommodation I hope will keep going strong.

This was our first stay here. My husband enjoys searching for Accommodations when we travel, and we found this place through a Review site. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. After that, we enjoyed Japanese-style relaxation in the free private bath, then went from one bath to another—the historic marble bath and the panoramic-view bath. Once we were refreshed, we savored dishes made with plenty of local ingredients, and the pudding dessert was unbelievably delicious. After dinner, there was complimentary service in the first-floor lounge: homemade alcoholic drinks and juices, small desserts, and snacks. You can relax at your own pace while listening to music. Breakfast was just as lavish—freshly cooked Hitomebore rice that was glossy and wonderfully chewy with tasty side dishes. On top of that, the ochazuke made with the Accommodation’s signature dashi is outstanding, so getting a second helping of rice is a must. On departure, they even gave us freshly baked croissants as a gift—truly attentive in every way. We are grateful for the staff’s warm hospitality. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again.

My siblings live in different prefectures, so we used this place as an opportunity for the whole family to get together. There were 12 of us—my sister’s family with two dogs, my brother’s family with children, my spouse and I, my parents, and my grandmother—so we booked two buildings. There was a large long table, and extra chairs were kept in the bedroom, so everyone could sit together in one building and enjoy meals as a group. (There was also a chair for small children.) The space is very spacious, so even when we all gathered it never felt cramped. There’s also a sofa area where everyone could relax however they liked. The warmth of the wood made it feel truly wonderful. We were also very grateful that we could message to arrange check-in this time. It was convenient to pay the Accommodation Tax and pet fee via PayPay using the provided QR code. Even though the kids got very excited and had lots of fun, it’s a private space so we felt comfortable staying there without worry. For bathing, we used the Onsen at a nearby Ryokan within walking distance. The Onsen lovers in our family even went again in the morning. If you bring your own ingredients, everything else is provided—tableware and appliances—so it was incredibly helpful. There was also a rice cooker so we could cook rice easily, which we really appreciated. Inside the Room there was also an iron plate and grill net for yakiniku-style BBQ, which made the meat taste even better. There is also a locked dog run on site, which is great for guests with pets. The price was very reasonable—thank you so much for letting us stay in such a wonderful place. We would love to stay again.

The detached Japanese-Western style room was wonderful in terms of its Facility, amenities, and atmosphere! Since it has no stairs like a cottage, it was easy to come and go even with heavy luggage.

I stayed here alone on a day when I split up from my friends during our trip. The chef and all the staff were very friendly, and we had great conversations. The food was delicious, and I ended up drinking more than usual... The Onsen with an open-air bath felt completely private both at night and in the morning, as my time never overlapped with other guests. It was raining, so I couldn’t watch the dog run or spend time with the dogs, which was a shame—but instead, I bought a dog neck pillow to take home.
