Stayed for 3 nights with 5 adults. The facility had 5 beds, providing a comfortable and spacious stay. The beds were on the softer side. Conveniently located near Euglena Mall and just a 13-minute walk to Ishigaki Port, making it ideal for staying in the city center. A convenience store is nearby, making it easy to grab breakfast. We stayed during an unusually cold New Year's period for Ishigaki Island but remained comfortable thanks to two large air conditioners. The staff was kind and showed great care for the facility. We had a wonderful time—thank you!

This was my first stay in Taga Town. I was truly impressed to find such a wonderful Accommodation in Taga. From the time I made the Reservation until just before my stay, you kindly addressed all of my concerns and questions. During my stay as well, your warm hospitality meant a lot to me. The breakfast was delicious and clearly very healthy, and the after-coffee was especially excellent. I heard that breakfast is so popular that some guests come specifically for it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some guests come just for your coffee. In the peaceful surroundings, I was able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay. One request: the water drainage at the Tsugumi washbasin was poor, so I would appreciate it if you could check it. Other than that, I thought it was wonderful how this old and spacious traditional house has been kept so clean and well maintained. I would love to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

My second stay in four years, and it was another wonderful experience. The Facility was just as spotless as last time, and you can really feel the staff’s careful daily work. We drove around to shop for local Hakuba vegetables, locally raised pork, and Shinshu sake, then had our accompanying chef cook for us. Absolutely the best. Check-in/out is contactless, but the service quality truly lives up to the word “hospitality,” such as having fresh towels prepared on the second day. Having four toilets and three shower rooms (two with bathtubs) is also something you’d expect from a Hakuba Accommodation shaped by skiers—very much appreciated. Spending time with friends over drinks, deepening our bonds, and talking about the future—if you can arrange a car and a chef, summer in Hakuba is unbeatable. If I had one request: stronger Wi‑Fi. A bit more speed would make online meetings even easier. That said, there’s no doubt this is an Accommodation I want to add to my regular rotation. We also visited Kurobe Dam. It’s less than an hour by car to Ogizawa Parking Lot, so it’s definitely a great sightseeing option.

Two families with kids stayed for two nights. The terrace and lawn, where you can have the breathtaking satoyama views all to yourself, were simply incredible—we felt refreshed far beyond what two nights would normally allow. We’ve stayed at many private rental homes, but it was rare (and greatly appreciated) to find information about an on-site private chef on the property’s own website—it was the deciding factor for our Reservation. Being able to enjoy a meal in such a wonderful setting, combined with perfect weather, made this an unforgettable stay. Having access to a fire pit was also fantastic. The hill is indeed steep in parts (like some roads in Izu or Shimoda), but the steep section is short, and driving a typical sedan didn’t feel overly stressful. (It might be different with a wider or longer vehicle like a Jeep or van.) As for insects: I’m someone who can’t even stand seeing roaches and can’t clean up after them—but other than pests, bugs don’t bother me—so it didn’t concern me at all. We did use insect spray at times (I would have left them alone, but one of our friends dislikes bugs), and it was a freezing-type spray rather than one with insecticidal chemicals, which was another big plus. The interior was clean and comfortable, and we also liked how much storage there was in the bedrooms. Since it’s a traditional old house, the walls are thin (voices from the living room or tatami room carry into the bedrooms), and laying out futons in the tatami room is self-service. The kitchen equipment, plates, and wine glasses were well stocked in both variety and quantity. In addition to basic seasonings, it was convenient that leftover condiments from previous guests were kept in the refrigerator as-is. On the other hand, there’s no dishwasher; also, kitchen ventilation wasn’t great for our taste, and we found the dining area size/atmosphere—and especially the lighting—a bit too bright. Still, none of that compares to this one-of-a-kind location and how wonderful the terrace and garden feel.

We stayed as a group of four, including my wife and parents. The charm and elegance of this building, designated as a city cultural property, were truly remarkable, and my parents were very pleased. I even wondered how such an environment could be provided while maintaining profitability. Here are some thoughts: 〇 Highlights - My parents found the traditional-style house nostalgic and reminisced about the past. I felt it would be great for elderly guests to stay here. Once inside (except for the twin bedroom and detached bathroom), there are no steps, making it comfortable for older adults. - The distance from Obi Castle was perfect; we enjoyed walks both in the evening and morning. The walking paths had a lovely atmosphere. - The garden was beautiful, and opening the window in the detached bathroom created a pleasant semi-open-air experience (though it's not an Onsen; bath salts might be nice). We also appreciated having Yoguruppe available. - The dining area featured delicious craft beer and shochu highball on tap, along with other drinks and snacks. As a fan of shochu highball myself, I was delighted (and drank too much). 〇 Areas for Improvement - The front door and toilet doors were stiff to open or close for elderly guests. It would be helpful if they could operate with less force. - While the outdoor stone stairs (9 steps) had small rises, the wooden entrance stairs (5 steps) had larger rises that seemed slippery—challenging for older adults with weaker legs or balance issues. We appreciated being advised beforehand about entering through the back door instead; however, even there were some steps without handrails that required caution. Adjustments to reduce step height would greatly benefit elderly visitors. - Due to low airtightness in parts of this historic building during pollen season, certain areas indoors (like desks in earthen-floored rooms or parts of hallway walls) felt slightly dusty. The town of Obi itself is wonderful but staying at this accommodation alone made our trip worthwhile—it was an exceptional experience! We look forward to staying here again when visiting Obi in the future. Thank you very much!

I stayed for three nights. During the day, I enjoyed looking at the sea, swimming in the pool, and relaxing in the Room. At night, I was soothed by the starry sky. Although the pool lights remained on at night and made it a bit hard to see clearly, I was still amazed by the breathtaking view of a star-filled sky with even the Milky Way visible. The large windows reaching up to the ceiling offered a stunning view of Miyako's beautiful sea. The Room felt spacious and open; despite being fully booked during my stay, it was quiet throughout (which was great since some Reviews mentioned noise from other guests). The barbecue dinner was delicious, and having complimentary drinks in the refrigerator replenished daily was greatly appreciated!

It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. We stayed with seven people in total—our family of five plus my parents. The moment we stepped into the Room, a soft, pleasant fragrance seemed to drift from somewhere, and the entire property was spotless and impeccably clean, making our stay extremely comfortable. Even though we never met in person, the thoughtful touches throughout the Accommodation conveyed such warm hospitality. The refrigerator had not only bottled water for each guest but also several juices, and there were coffee beans and herbal tea as well—an excellent selection of drinks alone. From amenities like skincare products to the provided plates, cups, and other tableware, appliances, bathwater volume, and even the toilet paper—every detail reflected careful consideration. Among all the private whole-house rentals we’ve stayed in so far, this one was especially memorable. The kids had a blast playing hide-and-seek inside and enjoying the view from the garden. My spouse and I—and my parents as well—were able to forget everyday life and spend a relaxing time together. Our whole family truly unwound while enjoying a wonderful stay. It’s an Accommodation we would absolutely love to stay at again.

This Accommodation had a calm, relaxing atmosphere that blended seamlessly into Tsuwano’s quiet streetscape. The building, renovated from a sake brewery, has plenty of character, while the interior is refined and very comfortable. The hospitality was warm as well, and we were able to spend a slow and pleasant time here. It’s a wonderful Accommodation where you can fully experience Tsuwano’s charm while enjoying an escape from everyday life. Thank you to the gentleman at the front desk—thanks to you, we truly enjoyed Tsuwano to the fullest.

This was our third stay at Roof Yureya. No matter how many times we visit, the warm hospitality never changes, and it truly puts us at ease. The staff’s sense of distance is just right, and it feels so comforting—like coming home. Above all, the greatest charm is being able to spend plenty of “family time” that you could never experience at a Hotel. Instead of splitting up into separate Rooms, we can gather around the irori hearth, relax on the veranda, take a bath whenever we like, and enjoy the sauna or fireworks whenever we want. It’s a truly luxurious space where conversation naturally flows. We also appreciated being able to leave meals to the staff, which helped us forget the busyness of everyday life and spend unhurried time together as a family once again. We’d love to visit again in another season. Thank you as always for such a wonderful stay.

We were looking for an Accommodation to visit Izumo Taisha, and chose this place because we loved the style—like staying in a private villa—and the interior design. The interior is, of course, wonderful, and it’s so comfortable that rather than filling your schedule with plans, we recommend spending a relaxing time at the Accommodation. Experiencing the owner’s warm personality and hospitality made our trip many times more special and memorable. The Accommodation itself feels like a true power spot. That thoughtful attention shows in every detail: every Room was spotless and cozy, and our stay was deeply relaxing. It was such a lovely Accommodation that it naturally made us think, “We want to stay again.”

Doggo Izu is simply the best. The Facility is clean, and the natural grass dog run is fantastic. This is an Accommodation you’ll definitely want to stay at again! The surroundings are quiet, so you can relax without worrying about others.

We visited as a group of four—my grandparents, my mother, and me—to celebrate my grandmother’s 80th birthday. My grandparents love traveling and have visited many places around the world, including Japan, but they said this experience was truly exceptional. In particular, the concierge who assisted us was wonderful—thank you very much for your thoughtful care and attention. Dinner at the Italian restaurant SEME was also a fantastic experience; both the owner’s warm personality and the food were outstanding. Next time, we would love to visit again with my father as well, who couldn’t join us this time. It was a truly wonderful one-night, two-day stay. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful time. Due to the heavy rain, the Onsen source stopped, so it was disappointing that we couldn’t use the in-room bath. However, we received a courteous message in advance, and your responses throughout our communication were very polite, so we were able to stay without any issues. Although we couldn’t use the in-room bath, giving 1 star would lower your rating too much, so with hopes for next time I’m giving 5 stars. I would like to visit again once the Onsen is restored. As a personal request, I’d like to mention two points for improvement. First, regarding the hanging light in the center of the Room: even when it was on, it felt dim. If you could replace it with one that allows brightness adjustment or switch to a brighter LED light, I think it would be more comfortable. Second, when walking from the parking area to the entrance, there were multiple nests of what looked like horseflies on the ground. There were many of them around and it made entering and leaving the building difficult. Since this is an important pathway for guests, it would be better to remove the nests or take some kind of countermeasure.

From the moment I stepped inside, I loved the refined space at first sight. The interior and lighting were wonderful, and it felt like a special escape from everyday life. The Room was also functional and comfortable, and I was impressed by how thoroughly the spacious Room was cleaned down to every detail. It’s very convenient—just a 1-minute walk from the station. The staff were all lovely and kind, making this a highly satisfying stay. Next time, sightseeing in Yufuin will be just a bonus—I’d love to return with my stay at GEMS YUFUIN as the main purpose!

The Ryokan was just as we imagined—spotlessly clean—and we were very satisfied with both the room and the bath. What impressed us most was the hospitality of all the staff. Everyone was extremely courteous, and their thoughtful attention to detail could be felt throughout our stay. They provided a place to change into swimsuits before check-in, installed a shower next to the entrance, and even lent us a bucket for fireworks—every service was truly appreciated and perfect for those of us enjoying swimming in the sea. The meals were delicious and very filling. When we mentioned that we don’t like oysters, they kindly changed the dish to seared Spanish mackerel, showing great consideration for our preferences as well. Thanks to you, we made wonderful summer vacation memories. Our whole family was very happy with our stay. Thank you very much. We would love to stay here again when we visit Kumihama.

An Accommodation in Yunohira Onsen, a quiet retreat in the Yufuin area. Run by a husband and wife, it has a calm atmosphere that feels like coming back to your family home in the countryside. Dinner was outstanding—especially the Bungo beef grilled on a ceramic plate. We also enjoyed the seasonal dessert. The miso soup at breakfast was hearty with plenty of ingredients—one of our favorites. The Onsen baths can be reserved for private use: an indoor hinoki bath and an open-air rock bath. We’ll be back!

There were chain restaurants nearby, and a theme park was also close by, which made it convenient! The bathroom was clean and spacious, which was great. The Room was also spacious, which was great!

This trip was with my parents and my son. Since one of my parents has difficulty walking, I chose this Accommodation hoping they could watch the Kamiyamada Fireworks Festival from the Room. We reserved the top-floor Room (5F Executive Floor Suite), convinced we would be able to see the fireworks. When we arrived, the front desk staff guided our car and prepared a wheelchair for my mother. Dinner was included; there was so much that we couldn’t finish it all, but everything was excellent and delicious. The baths were also wonderful, with great-quality water that everyone enjoyed—my son went in four times. As for the fireworks, they were absolutely perfect. We could see the launch site clearly, and it was truly beautiful. The only disappointment was that there were several steps inside the Room. I also thought handrails would have been helpful. Still, with such great food and a perfect fireworks view, I’m glad we stayed in this Room. Thank you to all the staff as well. I’d love to stay again.

The Room was clean and very well maintained. The bed was soft and comfortable, and I was able to relax in a quiet environment. The staff were also courteous. I arrived early, and they kindly stored my luggage for me. Breakfast was very tasty, and the portion size was just right. I wish dinner had been available as well. The Room has a unit bath, but there is an Onsen Facility nearby, and discount vouchers are provided.

Easily accessible from Makinoto Pass, this is a great hotel with both meals and an onsen. Dinner offers a wide variety of dishes that will leave you full. Breakfast is also delicious. The onsen includes family baths with open-air options as well as indoor baths, providing a wonderful experience. While the building and rooms may show some age, it is still a highly recommended accommodation.
