At check-in, the host greeted us very calmly and kindly, which immediately made us feel at ease. The Room had the basic amenities (towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and yukata), and the bathroom vanity had razors, cotton swabs, a comb, and a hair dryer. We were also able to use the private bath (depending on the time slot) right away with perfect timing. I’m not sure about public transportation, but traveling by car was not inconvenient at all. There is a convenience store within walking distance; the only downside is that there aren’t any restaurants nearby. I’d like to stay again.

As we expected to arrive later than planned, we called in advance to discuss dinner arrangements. Despite the short notice, they kindly arranged an outdoor barbecue for us, which was a huge help. The barbecue was excellent—especially the thick-cut meat and sausages. There is also a dog run, and the Onsen Facility you drive to is spacious and very clean. The dining hall is also reached by car. The meals were Western-style like at a Hotel and were delicious. The grounds are wide, lush with greenery, and open, so we could relax at ease. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Although it is a historic building, it didn’t feel outdated at all. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. At night, I was able to relax and fall asleep peacefully while listening to the sounds of insects. The staff were also very kind, and the breakfast was delicious. I also appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea service in the lounge. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

The large wooden building and spacious interior made for a wonderful, out-of-the-ordinary stay. The breakfast bread was also beautifully presented and very enjoyable.

Baths and meals at Hanamaru. Sorry for traveling solo, but I’d love to visit again and again. I was truly able to relax. Thank you very much.

Check-in was hassle-free, and it was very convenient to park right in front of the Room. There were also supermarkets, family restaurants, and convenience stores nearby, which was perfect for me. Breakfast was included; it was frozen but still tasty. The only downside was that the hot water in the Room’s bath wasn’t consistent, but there were many more positives overall and I really liked it. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

The entire property was spotless, and it felt incredibly comfortable. As others have mentioned, the meals offered a wide variety of dishes and were very filling—but everything was delicious. The flavors were gentle and well-balanced. My eyes, heart, and stomach—down to every last cell—felt completely satisfied! Even my husband, who is usually picky about food, ate until we were absolutely full. Despite that, we didn’t feel heavy at all afterward. The stairs and hallways creak as you go up and down, giving a sense of the building’s history. Although it was my first visit, it somehow felt nostalgic—like coming home to my parents’ house—and I could truly relax. It says the toilets and washrooms are shared, but they are separated for men and women. Both are spacious and easy to use. The toilets seem newly renovated; each time you open the door there’s a soothing scent of wood, and the washlet is a modern model. The kirie (paper-cut) artwork displayed throughout the building is said to be a hobby of a priest with ties to this place—but it’s far beyond hobby level and truly impressive. With such meticulous cleanliness throughout creating a calming atmosphere—and such wonderful energy—it almost felt like staying at a temple lodging. You can feel thoughtful hospitality in every detail. I slept deeply and was able to rest well. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a family trip to celebrate my seafood-loving husband’s retirement, on a friend’s recommendation. Everyone was very satisfied with the surprisingly generous boat platter of sashimi and the seafood dishes. The Room felt a bit small for four people. The sink area in the Room was also small, so it might have been better to use the shared facilities outside. The tatami bath was wonderful. Because there had been cancellations due to the typhoon, we were the only guests, so my daughter and I were able to soak and relax at our leisure. It was amazing. We received warm and pleasant hospitality, and we would definitely like to stay again.

My spouse and I, an older couple, stayed for one night. It was quiet thanks to the location just off a small side street, the front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the Room was very clean. We parked our car at the coin-operated parking lot next door. We enjoyed a morning walk in the Kyoto Imperial Palace Park. It seems you can also have breakfast at a shop inside the park from 8:00 a.m. Some people may feel that the Hotel is a bit far from the station or that there isn’t a convenience store nearby, but for us—living somewhere much less convenient—it didn’t bother us at all (laughs). Everything was so great that we made another Reservation for a few months from now. That’s about it.

The Facility has been renovated and is very well cleaned, with no pet odors or stains. The meals were delicious, and since it was a weekday there were few other guests, so we could relax without worrying. All the staff were kind, and we were touched to receive an illustration of our pet. They even saw us off until we were out of sight when we left, which made us want to come again. Weekdays are recommended! Thank you very much.

I stay here every time I come back to visit family. Since I get around by car, the location doesn’t feel inconvenient. The parking lot is also easy to use, with flat ground-level spaces. The Room was spacious enough to comfortably fit three suitcases. The bathroom is also roomy—quite different from the small unit baths you often find in business hotels. Breakfast was satisfying, and the simmered pork cartilage was delicious! I look forward to staying again.

On my first trip to Matsumoto, I stayed at this property in Azumino. As they say, “Please enjoy having nothing,” and the meals were just as highly rated—beautifully presented and delicious, made with seasonal ingredients. If I have the chance to visit Matsumoto again, I would love to stay here again.

Herbal medicinal teas before and after meals are also a nice touch. At dinner, you can drink as much as you like of your preferred beverages, including alcohol, and every dish was truly delicious. Although we stayed on a weekday, they kindly served us the weekend-only sashimi as well, which we enjoyed with fresh wasabi! The baths were crowded, so we couldn’t relax as much as we’d hoped, but overall we were satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the futon in the Japanese-style room was quite thin.

We stayed here during the Obon holidays as a family of three. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was delicious, and it made our trip truly wonderful.

The Room is compact, but it is sufficient for a solo stay. At check-in, a female staff member came over right away and explained everything. Another female staff member also answered my questions politely. Both of them provided excellent service. As expected from APA Hotel. I also like APA Hotel’s high bed. I did not use the Onsen, so I rated it 1.

We chose Isawa Onsen, within two hours of central Tokyo, for an Onsen trip to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday, and stayed at Hotel Sekitei. The employees and staff were very kind and carefully explained the dinner and breakfast venues, the location of the large public bath in the Onsen area, bathing hours, and more, so we were able to use everything without getting lost. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I informed them in advance that I have a food allergy, so they prepared dishes without eggs. At breakfast (a buffet), they also provided allergy information sheets listing ingredients used in each dish, which allowed me to choose items while checking the labels and enjoy my meal with peace of mind. The Room was very spacious, with newly replaced tatami mats—clean and lovely. I’m truly glad we stayed at Hotel Sekitei. Thank you very much to all the staff and employees for your wonderful hospitality.

After visiting Ise Shrine, we came here via the Ise Bay Ferry. Even before docking, the stately white building stands out, and you can tell it’s been well maintained without showing its age. Although strong winds were blowing due to a typhoon, the outside noise was minimal and we slept soundly. Breakfast was a mix of Japanese and Western dishes; the scrambled eggs and overnight-dried blackthroat seaperch were especially delicious and memorable. Given that it was peak season during Silver Week, we were truly satisfied with the quality—thank you very much.

I made a Reservation for my daughter’s birthday. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by car, and the experience began with a matcha tea service. The semi-private dining area for dinner was decorated for her birthday, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touch. The meal was also delicious. We chose a Room with an open-air bath, but there were quite a few stink bugs, which was the only slight disappointment. Of course, insects are part of nature and can’t be helped, and overall we had a wonderful stay.

We stayed with four related families, including children aged 5 and 8. Thanks to the arcade and bowling, we had a great time. For the breakfast buffet, we were able to eat as a family in a separate area, which was very helpful. Although the building is old, the room was clean and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

In addition to its convenient location within walking distance of Sapporo Station and many restaurants, the reliable ANA-branded service offers peace of mind, and the pricing makes it easy to use even for business trips. Unlike many typical Business Hotels in recent years, the property has a calm, substantial atmosphere, and the guest rooms felt spacious. The rooms have separate bath and toilet areas, were very clean, and made for a comfortable stay. I was also impressed by how politely the staff spoke and their attentive service throughout my stay. The Sapporo Station South Exit area is convenient for business dinners as well, and the ease of getting around is another major advantage. I found this Hotel extremely practical as a base for both private travel and business trips. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Sapporo. Thank you very much.
