TAOYA Gero

The bath was, of course, outstanding, and since the Hotel is on a hill, the view was great and I could truly relax. The all-inclusive plan was also nice because it felt relatively unhurried (at another Hotel, I once saw people rushing to grab seats the moment it started, which put me off). The food went beyond the ordinary with thoughtful touches, so I enjoyed it with excitement. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, which was very soothing. I’d love to stay again.

At first, I hesitated because it’s a bit away from the Gero Onsen town area, but I’m glad we stayed here. Nearby, Jomon Bridge and the Gero Gassho Village were within walking distance, which was enjoyable. There are two large public baths: from the 2nd floor of the annex building we could see the night view of the Gero Onsen town area, and in the other one we fully enjoyed the open-air bath. As a picky eater, I really appreciated the breakfast and dinner buffet. I’d like to stay again.
