All the meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. The staff provided excellent service, and we were very satisfied with the bath in the Room, which we could use at our convenience.

We stayed in the detached Akiseian. It had a large open-air bath attached to the Room, and since the weather was nice, we enjoyed it many times. The hot spring water was slightly silky and felt wonderful. The food was delicious, and there was a wide variety of sake to enjoy. It seems other detached Rooms also have large private baths, so we would like to stay again in a different season.

My aunt found a hair and, since she is not good with such things, she ended up contacting the front desk, which I felt very sorry about. However, the response afterward was truly wonderful: they handled it thoroughly using as many as four vacuum cleaners, and someone who seemed to be the manager and branch manager also apologized to her in person. Thank you very much for your exceptionally courteous service—we almost felt bad for causing you so much trouble. She also said the meat at dinner was tender and very delicious. With ocean views from every room, the scenery was amazing, and she told us it was “the best trip ever.” We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all your staff.

We stayed as a family of four. Since we were traveling with my elderly mother who has difficulty walking, the Hotel kindly lent us a wheelchair. Everyone was very considerate. We liked the idea of having beds in the Room, but at other hotels it’s usually two beds and at most three, so we were debating whether to book two Rooms or choose a Japanese-Western style Room and have someone sleep on a futon. This Hotel had a Room with four beds, which was one of the deciding factors for us. Before entering the Room, we worried it might be small with the beds pushed tightly together, but it was actually very spacious and impressively clean. The view from the Room was wonderful, and we were able to relax. You can feel that the building is older, but considering how affordable it is, we felt it offered excellent value for money. The buffet meals were delicious with a wide variety of options. We especially enjoyed the grilled seafood (hamayaki) and the DIY seafood rice bowl. I wanted to give full marks based on how we felt overall, but I deducted points because some areas are not barrier-free due to steps/level differences; the bath floor is slippery; there is only one handrail; and when the men’s and women’s baths switched between night and morning, there were differences in amenities—having similar amenities available in both would have been better. Overall, we were satisfied. It’s a Hotel I would recommend to others.

We stayed in a Japanese-style Room with a private open-air bath fed directly from the source. First, about the Onsen: the open-air bath in our Room was truly luxurious and easy to access from the Japanese-style Room. Even though it was still a bit chilly seasonally, we were able to use it comfortably. The large public bath is located in a secure area inside the building, and although we stayed just before a holiday weekend and had it almost to ourselves, we never felt uneasy about safety. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very comfortable. As a result, we enjoyed going back and forth between the private open-air bath in our Room and the large public bath many times! Next, about the meals: dinner was very filling, and we enjoyed a wide variety of local ingredients from appetizers through to the main course. The luxury items—especially grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) marinated in yuzu sauce and Noto beef—were beyond what we had imagined. Breakfast also offered various delicious “rice companions” that paired perfectly with great rice, so we thoroughly enjoyed it. Since this is not a new building, I was initially concerned about heating and other measures against the cold, but there were no issues with temperatures either in our Room or throughout the Facility. We were able to relax comfortably in a spacious, clean, calm Japanese-style Room. We had packed plans for the next day as well, so we left early on the first Shuttle Service bus; looking back, I think it would have been nice to take things slower at this Accommodation. There aren’t many places to visit right around this Accommodation, but we did enjoy short walks such as Rosanjin’s Iroha Soan and around an atmospheric public bath area nearby. Access is also reasonable: it’s about 10–15 minutes by Shuttle Service bus from Kagaonsen Station (and it takes only around 5 minutes from getting off the Shinkansen to boarding). There isn’t a lobby café or trendy services like breakfast buffets that you often see these days; however, for anyone who wants to unwind at a calm Ryokan with an old-fashioned sense of comfort and security above all else, I can highly recommend this Accommodation. It may also be because we splurged somewhat on a good Room option they prepared for us, but overall my spouse and I were completely satisfied—we couldn’t find anything to fault. Lastly, thank you very much to our attendant for your warm hospitality. We would love to stay again.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. Thank you very much!

We planned a last-minute trip as a couple, and never expected to find such a wonderful Accommodation available during the Obon holidays at such an affordable price. Dinner was impressive, featuring dishes that brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients, served on Hagi-yaki–style ceramic tableware. The buffet breakfast was also full of delicious options. While the annex is not very large, it felt newly finished and was comfortable. Above all, the location alone—an expansive view of the majestic Sea of Japan right below the window—seems worth tens of thousands of yen. The staff were warm and welcoming as well, making it an unforgettable stay.

My parents stayed here because they had been interested in it for a while. Since it was a weekday, it was fairly quiet and they were able to relax. They were also happy that other older guests were using the pool too, so they felt comfortable using it without hesitation, and they said the food was beautifully presented and delicious!

Every year, our family of six goes on a trip, and this time we visited Nagato Yumoto Onsen, Hagi, and Tsuwano. On the first night, we stayed at Gyokusenkaku. The staff were very kind, the value for money was excellent, and the food was great. Even though many places now ask guests to do things themselves (like laying out futons), we really appreciated that they prepared our futons for us. As a treat for myself, I also enjoyed a massage—something that fewer places offer these days. The Onsen bath water was gentle and soft on the skin, and we were very satisfied.

This was my first stay. Located right by the sea, the live squid sashimi enjoyed while watching the sunset was outstanding. The building is a bit old, but the detached annex is two stories and offers a nice sense of privacy. The location is great, and I was able to relax at a leisurely pace. Even before check-in, they kindly let a family member who wasn’t feeling well use a resting area, for which I’m very grateful. I’d love to stay again and have already shared it with friends.

We stayed in a two-room suite with a view of the townscape roofed with Sekishu tiles. The view itself wasn’t great—more like looking at the neighboring house—but it was more than made up for by the hospitality and the food. This wasn’t typical Ryokan cuisine; the dishes were thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients. Hot items were served hot and freshly made. We stayed on the day of the fireworks festival before Obon. After taking a bath, we lay down until dinner, watching the sunset and listening to insects—it felt wonderful. We went to Yakushiyu before dinner, but it was hot while waiting there, and since the Accommodation’s bath was so good, we wished we had used the Accommodation’s bath in the evening and gone to Yakushiyu early in the morning instead. In the hallway, as part of their hospitality, there was a refrigerated case where each guest could choose one drink—beer, juice, or water. That made us happy. And about the fireworks: we expected a small rural display, but it kept going for nearly 30 minutes without getting boring—it was very well planned. We’d like to stay again around this time next year before Obon.

From arrival to check-out, we had a very comfortable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with such generous portions that we couldn’t finish everything. The staff were kind and their warm smiles were wonderful. When we visit the Nanki-Katsuura area again, we would love to stay at Manshiro again.

Staying overnight on Miyajima was definitely the right choice, and this Accommodation was excellent. The meals were outstanding, the Room was spotless, and the property was so calm and quiet that it’s hard to believe how lively it is outside. The lounge is stylish, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. They also provided helpful information about the island and even made ferry Reservations for us—we truly appreciated their support. This is an Accommodation we would love to return to.

The bath and Room were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were very kind. Both dinner and breakfast had just the right seasoning and portions, and everything was delicious. It would be perfect if breakfast included a small dessert bite and after-meal coffee. This was a Ryokan I would definitely like to stay at again and recommend to friends. I stayed here once a few years ago, and this time we stayed with my mother-in-law. She was delighted with everything—the meals, the sunset view, the Room, the Onsen, the amenities, and the service. Thank you very much. My daughter mentioned that the hair dryer in the Room had weak airflow and it took a long time to dry her hair; she said she would have preferred a dryer like the ones in the large public bath.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. This was my second stay. The Onsen in the Room is silky and wonderfully relaxing. All the staff were very kind, and I also enjoyed a variety of snacks and drinks in the lounge. I look forward to visiting again.

I stayed here to visit Akiyoshido Cave and the Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau. It was a very fine Hotel, the Room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Yuda Onsen has an abundant supply of hot water, and the baths were excellent. A staff member near the front desk told me about highlights around Yuda Onsen, so I visited the Nakahara Chuya Memorial Museum, Rurikoji Temple, and Yamaguchi Xavier Memorial Church. Since it was Sunday, hymns could be heard and it felt very solemn; the temple also had an impressive five-story pagoda. It’s a compact town, but it was interesting and perfect for half a day of sightseeing. As for the Accommodation itself, it did feel slightly aged in places, but the meals were luxurious and the fugu sashimi was delicious. There may have been a few too many dishes overall—I was already quite full by the time I got to items like fried ayu. Personally, I felt ayu wasn’t really necessary. Also, I would have appreciated complimentary mineral water as an amenity; most Accommodations offer it these days, so I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t any. The footbath next to the Accommodation had also dried up—whether due to water shortages or energy saving measures, it felt a little sad. In any case, thank you very much for your hospitality. Overall I had a very positive impression, though personally I would have preferred slightly lighter meals. The Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau offers truly one-of-a-kind panoramic views that I’d love to see again, so I may return in the future—thank you in advance when that time comes.

From welcome to farewell, the service was attentive and truly impressive. No matter where we were in the building, the staff noticed everything and took excellent care of us.\nOcean views from every Facility—the Room, the large public bath, and the lounge with complimentary drinks.\nWe also recommend taking a walk down the hill to Mihama Cape.\nThe ocean view from the outdoor lounge was in a perfect location. We relaxed with coffee while listening to the waves until sunset. Thank you very much.

It was a truly wonderful Hotel. The hot water was excellent, and I was very satisfied. One suggestion: it would be helpful to have a trash bin in the washing area of the bath. It was difficult to store amenities such as razors and toothbrushes. I would appreciate it if this could be improved. Also, I think the shop’s selection could be a bit more extensive. I would have been happy if there were some light snacks in the free drink corner.

The outstanding location and delicious cuisine made our stay truly enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, we didn’t run into any other guests even once, so we were able to relax completely without any stress. It was also great to have a private dining area right next to our Room, allowing us to enjoy our meals without worrying about others. We didn’t need to walk around for the bath or meals, and could unwind comfortably in our Room. Even my husband, who rarely gives compliments, spoke very highly of everything. The courteous service from all the staff was also excellent, and we are truly grateful.
