Hotel Quest Shimizu

I chose this Hotel because the Reviews were good, and they were absolutely right.In a business-style Hotel, it’s often difficult for the staff to meet every individual request, but this Hotel is excellent in that it anticipates anything guests might struggle with or wish they had—and has everything prepared.It’s basically self-service, but there’s a microwave in the hallway, the ice machine is a solid commercial-grade unit, and they provide a case so you won’t lose your Room key and breakfast voucher. The Room also has spare disposable slippers in addition to regular slippers, extra bath towels are available near the elevator, and overall they really focus on what guests would think “it would be nice to have.”Of course, the service at check-in was polite and attentive. The welcome drink service is self-serve so you can use it without feeling awkward, and breakfast feels truly homemade—highly recommended.

A new Hotel just steps from Shimizu Station.Many guests stay here for business trips and training.The welcome drink bar offers soft drinks and alcohol, so you can relax in your Room.There are several types of toothbrush amenities, and the drip coffee is a nice touch.It was a shame that the morning juice and cold tea were moved to the buffet area.The breakfast buffet has a smaller selection, but I was very satisfied with the morning curry with plenty of root vegetables, athlete-style pork miso soup, salad, salmon, whitebait, and yogurt.The Room was a spacious double. I slept very well.
