I would have been happy if there had been an Onsen within walking distance nearby. The staff were very helpful, from guiding us to the parking lot to handling check-in and check-out. Some breakfast items ran out, so I would have liked better restocking.

Our family of three stayed in a riverside cottage (No Meals Included). Every time we visit, the staff welcome us with warm smiles, and once again we had a truly comfortable stay. We ordered a barbecue set the day before, and it was generous and very satisfying. We were lucky with the weather, and with the river right in front of us, we could enjoy playing in the water while having our barbecue. We’ve stayed here several times, but this time artificial turf had been added to the cottage deck. We enjoyed breakfast together on the deck while feeling the pleasant breeze. Something is upgraded each time we come, and it’s wonderful that there’s always something new to look forward to. The Onsen is a bit small and has limited capacity at one time, but the staff let us know when it would be less crowded, so we were able to relax as if it were private. We really appreciated this thoughtful attention. Mornings and evenings were slightly cool and comfortable, and we felt refreshed surrounded by nature. We’ll definitely be back again as a family!

I stayed here the night before a hike. I had made a Reservation with rice balls for breakfast, but at check-in they kindly changed it to an earlier Ryokan-style meal. It was relaxing and very nice. I was able to enjoy the free-flowing Onsen almost privately. Although the building is old, it was well cleaned throughout. I would love to stay again.

I stayed here for the Onsen, but the food was delicious, and the staff were very kind. The building and the room were old, but I liked the nostalgic atmosphere. When leaving, the grandmother of the Ryokan waved until my car was out of sight, which touched my heart. I had a wonderful time.

First, it’s an older Hotel, but I had no complaints at all. The rooms have been nicely renovated—clean and easy to use. The bath is a natural Onsen with excellent water. And the breakfast—there aren’t many Hotels where you can enjoy such a delicious breakfast. If I post a good review like this, Reservations will probably increase and the rates may go up, but since I stay in Suwa every month, I’ve already made my Reservation for next month as well.

We stayed during the Obon holidays. The building is old, but it’s well maintained and very comfortable. The meals were delicious, and we tried yamame trout sashimi for the first time. The bath had dim lighting, which made it very relaxing. We also used it in the morning, and it felt wonderful surrounded by trees. We really enjoyed the evening event hosted by the staff.

This stay includes a hot pot set, 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink, and breakfast. The Room is a Japanese-style room and is well equipped with sufficient space, heating, a refrigerator, and a toilet. You lay out the futon yourself. The Onsen is clear and colorless with free-flowing water, and it felt fresh and very pleasant. The hot pot was tasty with both paitan (rich white broth) and soy sauce soup options. With the all-you-can-drink plan as well, we were able to enjoy a relaxed meal. The breakfast buffet has fewer items than some places, but it was satisfying enough. A great value Hotel—I’ll continue using it as an overnight stop on trips around Eastern Hokkaido.

The building itself is old, but it’s well cleaned and feels pleasant. There are several private baths available for an additional fee, and relaxing in the hot water is truly soothing. Above all, the meals are outstanding—if you enjoy Japanese cuisine, we highly recommend choosing a Plan with meals included. The staff were all kind and welcoming with warm smiles, making this a wonderful Hotel full of heartfelt hospitality.

I come to ski in Shiga Kogen at least once a year, and I stay at Lake Hotel about once every two years. It’s great that solo stays are welcome, the location is convenient, and the price is reasonable—so it’s extremely useful for me. Above all, I’m very satisfied because there’s none of the common ski-Accommodation stress like a cold bath area, weak showers, or water that’s too hot. Last time there were only a few groups staying and it felt a bit quiet, but this time there were many international guests and younger visitors as well, which made it lively and enjoyable. It was my first time having both breakfast and dinner as buffet-style meals here, and I ended up eating too much… In particular, my favorite item was a sweet simmered side dish (or maybe dessert?) served at breakfast—something like candied sweet potato and apple. I also recommend the apple juice sold at the shop with the mascot dog on the package. One thing I’d like to mention is the smoking area. I saw cigarettes in the ashtray that didn’t seem fully extinguished, so it might be better to place some water for putting them out (for example in a plastic bottle).

The check-in support was very courteous and made us feel truly welcome! We made some unreasonable requests, but they handled them kindly, which we really appreciated. If we have the chance to visit again, we would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you so much!

Bringing our two preschool grandchildren with us, choosing the detached Accommodation was the right decision. It was even the same Room my husband and I had stayed in before! It seemed to be their first time experiencing an open-air bath attached to the Room, and they were thrilled. Since it’s a standalone house, we could relax and enjoy ourselves without worrying about disturbing others even if they got a little noisy. Meals were served in a private dining room, and not only was the food excellent, but above all the service was outstanding. All of the staff were from overseas, but they welcomed us with wonderful smiles, making our meal truly pleasant.

We stayed in a glamping dome that allows dogs. There was a restroom in the building right next door, and although we were worried it might be inconvenient, it wasn’t a problem at all. Since it’s all-inclusive, we could enjoy drinks without holding back (lol). For a limited time only, they took us by bus at night to see an area with large numbers of fireflies, which was wonderful. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and after dinner we roasted marshmallows over the campfire! The thoughtful hospitality from the international staff was also great. We’d love to come again.

A refreshing cold spring perfect for midsummer, with a strong sulfur (egg-like) scent and available 24 hours a day.

I stayed on the Shinshu Beef Plan. The meat was more generous than expected and absolutely delicious. There were also plenty of fresh vegetables, and the simple preparation let me fully enjoy their natural flavors. The Facility is old, but it has many furnishings that convey its history, and the overall atmosphere lets you immerse yourself in a Showa-era vibe. Perhaps due to energy-saving measures, some corridors and the post-bath lounge felt a bit dark at night and were slightly unsettling, but I can imagine how challenging it must be to maintain such large-scale facilities. The Onsen is one I want to visit again and again—please keep up the great work!

First, the Facility is old. I didn’t feel like using the bath in the Room, but since there is a large public bath, it wasn’t an issue for me. It was my first time trying a sand bath; the staff were kind and even took photos for us. We booked a plan with two meals and all-you-can-drink, and the food was better than expected—I enjoyed plenty of shochu and was very satisfied. The foreign trainee staff were also diligent, and my friend who came with me was satisfied as well.

The facility is not new, but the room is spacious, and the bathtub is relatively large and easy to use. However, the toilet did not have a bidet. It is close to the station, and there are restaurants nearby, so finding meals is not a problem. Overall, it is a good stay.

Delicious meals and warm hospitality, excellent location and views. Shuttle service to Kumano Kodo. It was a very fulfilling and wonderful trip.

We stayed as a family and were very satisfied. All ratings are based on the premise of "for this price." The smoking room is excellent! There’s a large supermarket and a 100-yen shop within a 10-minute walk, which is very convenient. Plus, Hakuba is just a casual 30-minute drive away, making the location perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

I was worried because the reviews weren’t very good, but nothing really bothered me. In any case, it was inexpensive, the Room was spacious, and being surrounded by nature with fresh air was very refreshing. Since it was No Meals Included, we didn’t do a barbecue or anything like that, but there were lots of dogs and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Above all, the kids enjoyed it, so we were very satisfied.

Recommended by a gourmet friend, I stayed at this accommodation. Having lived in Eastern Hokkaido before, I had visited the surrounding area often but was not very familiar with Lake Kussharo. Curious about the place, I decided to visit and was immediately impressed by the stunning mountain views from the lodge. The rare snowfall for this region added to its charm this year. The experience of checking in via canoe or snowshoe from Lake Kussharo was truly memorable. The accommodation building featured facilities such as a sauna, cold bath, and barrel bath. It was delightful to cool off while enjoying the snowy scenery after using the sauna. For the first time, I also experienced tending a fireplace with firewood, which allowed me to spend mindful and relaxing moments. The meals were Chinese-inspired cuisine and absolutely delicious! The chef skillfully prepared luxurious ingredients like abalone and shark fin for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you for kindly preparing additional mapo tofu as well—it was fantastic! Breakfast was equally exceptional. While having dinner, it started snowing outside; we appreciated how staff thoughtfully cleared snow just before we returned to our room in the accommodation building. Although it would be nice if improvements could be made regarding some minor points—such as whether or not the baths are onsen or addressing slight odors in rooms with toilets and showers—the overall experience far outweighed these small concerns. It left such an impression that I ended up making a summer reservation before leaving! This place is truly remarkable—I look forward to visiting again during another season for more unique experiences. Thank you so much for providing such precious memories!
