We stayed here for a celebration, and the meals, room, and service were all excellent—our whole family was very happy. If I had to ask for one thing, it would be perfect if both large public baths had an open-air bath and a sauna. Still, the in-room open-air bath was amazing—I even enjoyed it alone with a beer! The celebration cake, the drinks and sweets in the lounge, dinner and breakfast, and all the complimentary items and beverages were wonderful. The guest of honor—and our entire family—were truly impressed. Next time, I’d love to bring my parents as well; we look forward to staying with you again then.

Although our arrival was slightly later than planned, we received a call and experienced excellent service at this wonderful Ryokan.

While the facilities are a bit dated, they are kept very clean, and the amenities (including branded items), meals, and various services (donuts, oden, free drinks, manga, sauna, and massage chairs) were excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff were also kind and made the visit pleasant. The only downside was that the Onsen felt a little hot for me.

Thank you for your warm, home-style hospitality—it made for a wonderful stay at the end of the season. For our children, the best memories of this trip were the pension’s Room and meals. Even while skiing, they were looking forward to dinner each night. We have big appetites, so we were very satisfied with the food. We also appreciated that bath towels were provided. When we visit Myoko again, we would love to stay here.

The meals are always delicious and home-style. Since I’m not good at exercise, I joined the after-dinner walk for the first time on this trip. It was a shame we couldn’t see fireflies because the typhoon brought strong winds, but I was surprised to hear there are fireflies right near the Accommodation. Apparently there are chances to see them until November, so I’d like to stay again.

Ayu no Kaze is located in a residential area up a fairly steep hill from downtown Ito. Since the nearest drink vending machine and 7-Eleven are further down the hill, it’s best to buy anything you may need before check-in. We stayed in the Room called “Kochi,” which had a water dispenser. From the Room, you can enjoy panoramic views of Suruga Bay, Hatsushima Island, and Ito Station. Check-in, check-out, and all meals were handled in the Room, and it also came with a private open-air view bath with free-flowing hot spring water—making it a perfect stay-in Accommodation. The bath was slightly compact, but the tub was made of hinoki cypress, and the water was mild and wonderfully warming. Above all, being able to bathe anytime we liked was truly appreciated. Of course, we could also enjoy the scenery from the bath. Amenities covered everything we needed. Each guest is provided one bath towel initially, but extra towels can be brought upon request. We would have liked paper towels at the sink area and chairs in the Room. Meals included not only Izu-style seafood but also delicious beef; they were a satisfying Japanese-Western blend in both taste and portion size. Dessert and coffee were served after both dinner and breakfast as well. All staff members were pleasant, easy to talk to, and friendly. Both pick-up and send-off service were flawless. Even though it was raining, it made sense that they were fully booked.

(Dinner & breakfast included) ...Stayed on the above Plan [Guest Room & Amenities] Stayed in an 8-tatami room on the second floor. The toilet and wash area had been renovated, so there were no inconveniences. Amenities were more than sufficient. [Staff & Service] For someone like me who doesn’t want anything excessive, it was exactly what I needed. The warm send-off at check-out was a nice touch. [Onsen & Bath] Since there weren’t many guests, I was able to enjoy the large public bath almost privately, which was very satisfying. The private bath is not time-slot based—it's available whenever it's open. I used it for a morning bath; the semi-open-air setting felt great. [Meals] Although it was a light Plan (?), both the quantity and quality were plenty. Both dinner and breakfast included mountain vegetables, giving a real sense of Nagano’s local flavors. [Facility & Equipment] The traditional Japanese-style building has plenty of history and charm. As access to the second floor is by stairs only, I felt that older guests would be better off staying on the first floor. *I would definitely consider staying again.*

We stayed here as a base for sightseeing in the area. The Accommodation was very clean overall, and the Room was spacious; our child especially loved the bunk bed. The udon served in the morning and evening was also delicious.

From arrival onward, everything was pleasant! They kindly accommodated all of our requests. The Room was clean, and with the toilet and bath separate, it felt spacious and relaxing overall. Having parking right in front of the Accommodation is rare in Ikaho, so that was a big plus. There wasn’t one particular standout dish, but everything was tasty and we ate until we were full. For this price, being able to stay so comfortably felt like an excellent value. Next time, I’d love to come again with my whole family.

We stayed as a couple. The bath had excellent water quality, and we were able to enjoy a very relaxing soak. We have stayed at various Accommodations in the past, but the cuisine at Juraku was truly delicious. Not only dinner but also breakfast was wonderful—everything was so good that I can’t even list what stood out most. As for alcohol, there was an all-you-can-drink service between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm (including during dinner), which was perfect for us as we love drinks! The staff were kind, and their polite service made us feel comfortable. Another highlight worth mentioning is the guest room key. It is an automatic locking/unlocking system, and the solid security made us feel safe throughout our stay. This was our first time staying in Obama Onsen, and it was an Accommodation we were very satisfied with. We would love to stay again. Also, the sunset during dinner was beautiful! Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our stay. It was our first trip to Shikoku, and it became a truly memorable journey. The warm welcome at check-in helped us unwind after sightseeing in the heat. We were also very happy with the drink service in the lobby. The Onsen was clean and very relaxing. The meals were delicious, and we strongly felt we want to come back just to eat them again—especially the dashi broth (shabu-shabu), which was outstanding! The Room was a good size, but we did notice an unpleasant smell in it. We couldn’t tell what it was—perhaps alcohol or something from the Facility—which was disappointing. Thank you for your heartfelt service. There’s no doubt many more guests will continue to visit Shikishimakan—it's a wonderful Accommodation!

You can enjoy a 24-hour onsen with natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source! The room was a renovated twin room, and the sunken kotatsu was an interesting feature. The beds were fluffy and very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay! For dinner, we had the famous Kiritanpo hot pot served individually in small pots, along with shabu-shabu featuring Kazuno beef and Hachimantai pork—everything was delicious! As mentioned in reviews, there were plenty of options, leaving us fully satisfied. There was also a wide selection of local sake available for tasting. After check-out, I realized I had forgotten something, but they contacted me immediately so I could retrieve it. I truly appreciate their kind assistance! Thank you very much.

I revisited this accommodation early because I had such a great experience last month. Although the Awazu Kaiseki did not include tempura, the delicious appetizers and eight kinds of fresh sashimi made the sake taste even better. By the time I finished the pork shabu-shabu and chawanmushi, I was already full, but the seasoned rice was so delicious that I ended up overeating. For breakfast, they served "Hyakumangoku" brand rice, which is often found in ryokan in Ishikawa Prefecture. However, their cooking method was exceptional, making it more delicious than any other ryokan I've stayed at before. While abalone, nodoguro fish, and Noto beef are available as additional orders, even without them, their delicately flavored dishes were more than satisfying. The bathwater quality was gentle on my sensitive skin and allowed me to soak for long periods without feeling overheated. The therapeutic waterfall shower relieved pain in my shoulders, neck, and back when applied to those areas—I even thought about saving money to come here for a week-long hot spring retreat someday! The room had been recently renovated; it was impeccably clean with a large LCD TV for added comfort. However, since we arrived early perhaps due to timing issues—the air conditioning wasn't turned on upon arrival during wintertime—it felt cold initially; preheating would have been appreciated during colder months like these! Lastly but importantly: homemade pudding by Okami (the hostess) tasted amazing too—overall providing excellent value exceeding expectations from this accommodation!

I found a Plan that does not use wheat flour, vegetable oils, dairy products, or sugar, and stayed here looking forward to these meals. An Accommodation offering a “Four Toxins-Free Plan” is still rare across the whole country, so it felt like I had finally found one. There were many dishes, all of them truly delicious, and I left completely full. I was very satisfied. It may have been the best food I’ve had at any Ryokan I’ve stayed at so far. Niigata Prefecture is far from my home and not somewhere I often get the chance to visit, but that made the sightseeing feel fresh as well, and I had a wonderful time.

Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, all very delicious, and we were completely satisfied. I only wished the tempura had been served freshly made, but it was still tasty and satisfying. Breakfast was a healthy Japanese-style meal with many small side dishes that went perfectly with rice, and I was happy to be able to have three extra bowls of rice. The private bath was a bit hot, but we could adjust the temperature. The large public bath was also clean, and we were able to relax in the Onsen. The waterfall shower is right in front of you, and they even provide coins for it—excellent. The balance of food, price, and overall satisfaction was very good. We also received discounted ski tickets, which made our ski experience great value as well. They are flexible with breakfast times for hikers and can accommodate bento lunches too, which I found very convenient. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was a captivating experience, with the Ryokan’s dignified traditional Japanese architecture and its beautiful strolling garden that lets you feel the changing seasons. The historical stories passed down at Yoshino Ryokan were truly fascinating, and I have deep respect for the way it overcame the hardship of the major flood disaster in 2020 and was rebuilt with strength. This time I chose a Plan without dinner, but the Japanese breakfast provided was high quality, and the carefully prepared dishes gave me energy from the morning. The large public bath is small, but quiet and comfortable, allowing me to relax and soothe my fatigue. The warm and kind hospitality of the proprietress and all staff left a strong impression. In a calm atmosphere that has not been overly commercialized for tourism, this is a rare, authentic Ryokan that preserves the charm of good old Japan. With such wonderful offerings, it also delivers excellent value for money—I was truly satisfied. I would love to visit again in another season to enjoy this beautiful garden.

We stayed here for a family trip. Our family of four enjoyed being able to go back and forth between two connected Rooms with bunk beds. After a tiring journey, the Onsen was very relaxing. If I had to say one thing, I wish it had been a bit more spacious. Considering the cost, we were very satisfied. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

This accommodation features a charming corridor connecting the front desk to the rooms. All rooms come with an open-air bath. There are rooms with city views and mountain views; this time, we stayed in a mountain-view room called "Kasuga," which was a combination of Japanese and Western styles (8-tatami mat alcove + 6-tatami Western-style room with two beds). The open-air bath was not very large but sufficient for two people. When we tried to use the open-air bath right after check-in, we found a centipede in it. Since the area outside is surrounded by nature, it couldn't be helped... However, when we informed the staff, they promptly cleaned and replaced the water for us, which was great. Dinner was served at the dining area as an Irori Kaiseki meal! Everything was delicious! We were very satisfied. Breakfast might feel slightly lacking for some guests. Although there is WiFi in the room, it’s weak and disconnects frequently—this needs improvement. A floor plan of the facility or room layout would be helpful inside each room. It would also be nice to have menus and tariffs for additional dinner dishes or drinks available in advance in each room since we only learned about additional dishes later on. It would be convenient to have an extra set of towels and bath towels since guests also visit public baths within the facility. Roomwear that separates into top-and-bottom pieces like samue would also be appreciated—it wouldn’t come undone easily and could even be worn to meals at dining areas. The staff members are incredibly kind and attentive! Overall, this accommodation provides a highly satisfying experience! It’s definitely worth revisiting! Next time, I’d like to stay in one of their city-view rooms!

This time, our family wanted to show my mother the fireworks, so we looked for an Accommodation where we could see them from the Room and were lucky to find Tachibana. We were also able to enjoy our meal in the Room at a relaxed pace, and it felt so comfortable—almost like being at home. The fireworks, which were our main purpose for this trip, could be seen straight ahead through the large window, and we were very satisfied with their impressive size and powerful sound. We later found out that it seems to be the family home of an upperclassman from my alma mater—I'm truly glad we found such a wonderful Accommodation.

The food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was excellent—everyone, including the staff from Myanmar, was very attentive and always smiling. We were extremely satisfied!! The baths were also wonderful, as expected of Hirugami Onsen. The water quality was great, and we could soak anytime throughout the night—this was another big highlight! We could also play in the nearby river, and our grandchildren were thrilled and splashing around with joy. As a personal interest of mine, it felt like a truly special place watched over by a shrine. It’s about an hour by expressway from the Nagoya area with a great location, so we’d definitely love to stay again!!
