I revisited this accommodation early because I had such a great experience last month. Although the Awazu Kaiseki did not include tempura, the delicious appetizers and eight kinds of fresh sashimi made the sake taste even better. By the time I finished the pork shabu-shabu and chawanmushi, I was already full, but the seasoned rice was so delicious that I ended up overeating. For breakfast, they served "Hyakumangoku" brand rice, which is often found in ryokan in Ishikawa Prefecture. However, their cooking method was exceptional, making it more delicious than any other ryokan I've stayed at before. While abalone, nodoguro fish, and Noto beef are available as additional orders, even without them, their delicately flavored dishes were more than satisfying. The bathwater quality was gentle on my sensitive skin and allowed me to soak for long periods without feeling overheated. The therapeutic waterfall shower relieved pain in my shoulders, neck, and back when applied to those areas—I even thought about saving money to come here for a week-long hot spring retreat someday! The room had been recently renovated; it was impeccably clean with a large LCD TV for added comfort. However, since we arrived early perhaps due to timing issues—the air conditioning wasn't turned on upon arrival during wintertime—it felt cold initially; preheating would have been appreciated during colder months like these! Lastly but importantly: homemade pudding by Okami (the hostess) tasted amazing too—overall providing excellent value exceeding expectations from this accommodation!

I found a Plan that does not use wheat flour, vegetable oils, dairy products, or sugar, and stayed here looking forward to these meals. An Accommodation offering a “Four Toxins-Free Plan” is still rare across the whole country, so it felt like I had finally found one. There were many dishes, all of them truly delicious, and I left completely full. I was very satisfied. It may have been the best food I’ve had at any Ryokan I’ve stayed at so far. Niigata Prefecture is far from my home and not somewhere I often get the chance to visit, but that made the sightseeing feel fresh as well, and I had a wonderful time.

Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, all very delicious, and we were completely satisfied. I only wished the tempura had been served freshly made, but it was still tasty and satisfying. Breakfast was a healthy Japanese-style meal with many small side dishes that went perfectly with rice, and I was happy to be able to have three extra bowls of rice. The private bath was a bit hot, but we could adjust the temperature. The large public bath was also clean, and we were able to relax in the Onsen. The waterfall shower is right in front of you, and they even provide coins for it—excellent. The balance of food, price, and overall satisfaction was very good. We also received discounted ski tickets, which made our ski experience great value as well. They are flexible with breakfast times for hikers and can accommodate bento lunches too, which I found very convenient. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was a captivating experience, with the Ryokan’s dignified traditional Japanese architecture and its beautiful strolling garden that lets you feel the changing seasons. The historical stories passed down at Yoshino Ryokan were truly fascinating, and I have deep respect for the way it overcame the hardship of the major flood disaster in 2020 and was rebuilt with strength. This time I chose a Plan without dinner, but the Japanese breakfast provided was high quality, and the carefully prepared dishes gave me energy from the morning. The large public bath is small, but quiet and comfortable, allowing me to relax and soothe my fatigue. The warm and kind hospitality of the proprietress and all staff left a strong impression. In a calm atmosphere that has not been overly commercialized for tourism, this is a rare, authentic Ryokan that preserves the charm of good old Japan. With such wonderful offerings, it also delivers excellent value for money—I was truly satisfied. I would love to visit again in another season to enjoy this beautiful garden.

This accommodation features a charming corridor connecting the front desk to the rooms. All rooms come with an open-air bath. There are rooms with city views and mountain views; this time, we stayed in a mountain-view room called "Kasuga," which was a combination of Japanese and Western styles (8-tatami mat alcove + 6-tatami Western-style room with two beds). The open-air bath was not very large but sufficient for two people. When we tried to use the open-air bath right after check-in, we found a centipede in it. Since the area outside is surrounded by nature, it couldn't be helped... However, when we informed the staff, they promptly cleaned and replaced the water for us, which was great. Dinner was served at the dining area as an Irori Kaiseki meal! Everything was delicious! We were very satisfied. Breakfast might feel slightly lacking for some guests. Although there is WiFi in the room, it’s weak and disconnects frequently—this needs improvement. A floor plan of the facility or room layout would be helpful inside each room. It would also be nice to have menus and tariffs for additional dinner dishes or drinks available in advance in each room since we only learned about additional dishes later on. It would be convenient to have an extra set of towels and bath towels since guests also visit public baths within the facility. Roomwear that separates into top-and-bottom pieces like samue would also be appreciated—it wouldn’t come undone easily and could even be worn to meals at dining areas. The staff members are incredibly kind and attentive! Overall, this accommodation provides a highly satisfying experience! It’s definitely worth revisiting! Next time, I’d like to stay in one of their city-view rooms!

This time, our family wanted to show my mother the fireworks, so we looked for an Accommodation where we could see them from the Room and were lucky to find Tachibana. We were also able to enjoy our meal in the Room at a relaxed pace, and it felt so comfortable—almost like being at home. The fireworks, which were our main purpose for this trip, could be seen straight ahead through the large window, and we were very satisfied with their impressive size and powerful sound. We later found out that it seems to be the family home of an upperclassman from my alma mater—I'm truly glad we found such a wonderful Accommodation.

The in-Room dining tasted great, and the portions were very satisfying! If I had to say one thing, it would be perfect if the time between courses could be a bit shorter. I ended up feeling full while waiting (lol). The open-air bath in the Room was also amazing—I think I used it about 10 times (lol).

The food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was excellent—everyone, including the staff from Myanmar, was very attentive and always smiling. We were extremely satisfied!! The baths were also wonderful, as expected of Hirugami Onsen. The water quality was great, and we could soak anytime throughout the night—this was another big highlight! We could also play in the nearby river, and our grandchildren were thrilled and splashing around with joy. As a personal interest of mine, it felt like a truly special place watched over by a shrine. It’s about an hour by expressway from the Nagoya area with a great location, so we’d definitely love to stay again!!

This was our first stay at Ayunosato. I had been interested in this Accommodation for a long time, but never had the chance until this visit. In conclusion, it was a far better Accommodation than I expected. I also liked that free drinks were available. As it is an Accommodation by the river, we were able to fully enjoy the view from the terrace. I have a big appetite, so it would have been perfect if there had been an à la carte menu, but I was still satisfied with what was offered. The lobby’s design and atmosphere were great, and the staff were kind and attentive, which we really appreciated. We were able to relax in the open-air bath in our Room, and I was impressed that the washing area even had heated flooring. Since there were two of us this time, we could stay in a spacious Room and enjoy it to the fullest. It’s also worth noting that it’s close to the expressway with very little driving required.

I stayed with my mother. It was our first time at Misasa Onsen, and it turned into a wonderful trip. We relaxed in the spacious Accommodation, enjoyed delicious meals, and felt that a trip like this once in a while is really nice. Everyone at the Ryokan was kind. The fireflies and the Onsen town at night were beautiful as well. Because it is free-flowing from the source, this is a luxurious complaint, but the Onsen water was quite hot and it took some time to get used to it (especially in the morning). We were told that each person gets one bath towel, so please note this if you plan to bathe multiple times. The scenery was beautiful, so I’d like to visit again in another season.

You can enjoy a view of Mount Yufu from the semi-open-air bath in the room. Although it was partially covered by clouds, it was still beautiful. The wooden parts of the room's floor showed some signs of aging, but everything seemed clean. We chose the most basic meal course and honestly didn’t expect much, but it was very delicious. The only disappointment was that only bottled beer was available; draft beer would have been a nice option.

It exceeded my expectations. The meals were delicious, and the baths were operated on a private-use rotation at all three locations that day, so I was able to enjoy a relaxing Onsen and spend a truly luxurious time. The staff were also very pleasant.

While visiting Kamikochi, we decided to extend our trip to the Kisoji area and made a last-minute Reservation. It was a small Accommodation, but it had a lovely atmosphere, and we enjoyed the bath several times. The sukiyaki beef at dinner was delicious. We also enjoyed the Kisoji area, and it turned into a wonderful trip.

It was my first time visiting Furu-yu Onsen, and my first stay at a Ryokan in a while. From the moment we were picked up, the service was attentive. They noticed my son’s yukata was too long and coming undone, kindly spoke to us, and brought a smaller size to our Room. For some reason dinner was served in the banquet hall, but our family of four could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. The food and the Onsen were wonderful! The large public bath wasn’t crowded, and the Accommodation was quiet throughout—very nice.

A Two-Aunt Getaway It was quiet, and the bath was pleasantly warm, so we were able to relax and take our time.

It was a wonderful Ryokan, with outstanding architecture and Rooms. The Japanese-modern space, where different materials blend beautifully, was truly impressive. Walking barefoot indoors let us experience the feeling of staying in a traditional house with all five senses. Both the meals and the hospitality were excellent. In the morning, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the private family bath. The location was also great, making it easy to enjoy visiting multiple hot springs smoothly.

I think the Facility is kept very clean. The Rooms are simple and minimal, but more than enough for sleeping. I did feel that amenities like makeup remover or hair ties would be nice to have. The service is very polite. Perhaps because it’s a Ryokan with only a few Rooms, it seems the staff is also a small team working hard—but it never feels like they cut corners at all! The Onsen was excellent as well! The water temperature was just right. Like others have mentioned in their Reviews, the food is amazing. It’s more than enough for one person—I went to bed completely full. Breakfast was also plentiful, and everything was delicious. I think this is a hidden-gem Ryokan in Uguisuyado Onsen!

The Room I stayed in was very clean! The brochures on the desk were neatly arranged, and the bathroom was also spotless! It felt great when I entered the Room. Also, the shared kitchen was nice.

From the very first welcome, to the softness of the bath water, to how delicious and generous the meals were—everything was wonderful. The portions may have been a bit too much; I’m sorry I couldn’t finish everything and ended up leaving some. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which was great. There is also a matchmaking shrine in the mountain behind the property, and it was refreshing to visit in the morning. I would definitely like to come again.
