Utsumi Onsen Daito Ryokan

In early July, I stayed here with my son. The Ryokan is right in front of the beach, so we could relax while feeling the sea breeze, or unwind in our room while looking out over Ise Bay—it was truly a wonderful time. In particular, the view of the sun setting into Ise Bay as it dyed the sky deep red was unforgettable.As for the meals, dinner featured not only fresh sashimi but also simmered fish, crab, beef shabu-shabu, and even abalone steak—everything was delicious.Breakfast included rice cooked in a traditional kamado stove, along with dried fish, rolled omelet, and small side dishes served in little bowls. Just like dinner, it was excellent.The food at Daito Ryokan offered a great variety and tasted amazing! (Chef’s choice kaiseki course + one additional premium ingredient)The Onsen was also very relaxing.Perhaps because it’s by the sea, the water is slightly salty. The bath area isn’t large, but soaking while enjoying the ocean view is fantastic.Finally, I was comforted by the warm hospitality and smiles of the proprietress and all the staff. When I’m in the Nagoya area again, I’d love to stay here—next time for about two nights.I’m truly grateful for such a peaceful stay.Thank you very much.

The exterior is a bit old-fashioned, but everything is very clean, and both the comfort and the ocean view right in front of you are excellent. The meals were also very satisfying—both dinner and breakfast, in taste and portion size.With only a few Rooms, the Accommodation itself is quiet and relaxing.The bath is a little small, but since it accommodates only a limited number of guests, it’s not much of an issue. If you like to take your time in the bath, we recommend adjusting your bathing time based on how busy the changing area feels.
