Hekisui Gyoen

The meals featured a variety of Japanese dishes centered on local seafood.Every dish was carefully prepared, and we enjoyed them very much.We stayed in a guest Room with an open-air bath.It was thoroughly cleaned and there was no smell of tobacco.The bathroom has a hinoki (cypress) bath with a pleasant aroma.There is also a door leading directly outside to the open-air bath.Outside the Room is a private garden with views of both the sea and the mountains.Although it was summer, there were no mosquitoes or other insects even at night.Because there are only a small number of guest Rooms, we were able to relax in a very calm atmosphere throughout the property.Notes:1) Even some first-floor guest Rooms have about five steps. There are also about ten steps to reach the large public bath. Please keep this in mind if you have difficulty walking.2) Regarding guest Rooms with an open-air bath: This will be explained by staff on the day, but the water temperature is very hot. Please check and adjust the temperature before undressing.3) The private garden for each guest Room has a fence on the sea side, but part of it is not continuous. Beyond that point there is an approximately 3-meter slope down toward the sea. Please take extra care not to take your eyes off small children.

As far as the eye could see, the sea shimmered like deep blue jade, with no one in sight. Over the early-summer blue mountains, only a single heron flew—there was nothing else moving. I felt truly happy to be able to take my time and enjoy such a quiet, beautiful view. The staff were kind and welcoming as well—this is a wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much.
