Oyado Tsukiyo no Usagi (Kyoritsu Resort)

Perhaps because this is Izumo, cute rabbits welcomed us at key spots throughout the Hotel. Parking around Izumo Taisha was packed with long lines since it was the middle of Silver Week, but we were able to park in the Hotel’s large parking lot even before check-in, which was a big help. The welcome drink and yokan were a nice treat after being worn out by the heat. The sweets in the Room were also great. There was water provided in the Room, and although it was outside the Room, there was also an ice machine, which made it easy to prepare our child’s water bottle for the next day. The building seemed relatively new; the Room was clean and spacious enough, and the beds were low so we didn’t have to worry about our child falling off and getting hurt—very comfortable overall. Meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast; dinner included crab and conger eel among a wide variety of ingredients. Breakfast was fun too, with salmon roe and more. We especially loved the private baths. The hinoki bath, rock bath, and bubble bath all felt wonderful... Since children can only enter the large public bath with an adult if they are 6 or under, having a private rental bath allowed our family to relax together at our own pace.

We stayed here for a trip with both of our parents.The Hotel staff were wonderful and handled last-minute changes flexibly.The Onsen water quality was excellent, and we felt truly refreshed.One small suggestion: it would be nice to have a clock in the sauna room.The property was quiet and relaxing, and the buffet offered a wide variety of delicious dishes—we were very satisfied.
