Although I was worried about the earthquake’s impact, I decided to visit from Kumamoto Airport. Perhaps because a week had passed since the quake, I hardly noticed any effects and was able to stay with peace of mind. Above all, I was amazed by how delicious the meals were. Dinner featured duck hot pot, miso soup, and rice cooked in a traditional pot; breakfast included nori seaweed, natto, and French toast. Every dish felt heartfelt, and I ended up eating far more than I expected. The Onsen was just as described in advance and helped relieve my fatigue. It was a truly satisfying stay. Lastly, I asked about the period “.” after Seifuso’s name that had caught my attention. Despite all the hardships you have faced—including the earthquake—I was deeply moved to hear that it represents putting a “.” (period) on these hardships and creating a new Seifuso going forward. Thank you very much. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

We traveled around Kumamoto by rental car with my spouse and our two sons, and stayed at Soan in two Rooms. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The staff were kind and attentive, which made us feel truly welcome. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and we felt deeply relaxed after bathing. The Rooms were clean and comfortable, making this Accommodation a great choice for a family trip. I highly recommend it, and would love to stay again if we have the chance.

My wife and I visited from Kyoto. As it had not been long since the renovation, everything was very clean, and we had a comfortable one-night stay. The open-air bath in the guest room lets you fill it yourself—add cold water if it’s too hot, or add hot water if it’s too cool—so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Both the hot and cold water flow were plentiful, making it a truly stress-free Onsen experience that’s hard to find. The meals were also excellent; each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and I felt the chef must be very talented. If I had to mention one minor complaint, it would have been perfect if we could have seen Mt. Aso clearly from the bath, but I understand that can’t always be helped.

I wasn’t sure if we would be able to come due to the typhoon, but they were very accommodating.\nThe Facility was well maintained, and the dog run was just the right size for our dog, who happily ran around.\nWe really appreciated being given rice for dinner.\nThe Room felt like a living room at home and had all the necessary appliances, such as a rice cooker and microwave, which we could use freely.\nThe owner was also very kind, and I’d like to stay here again when visiting Kumamoto.\nIt was a wonderful trip. Both breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, including meat, fish, tempura, noodles, salads—everything you could want. The food is delicious. There are many kinds of desserts, and you can also take them back to your Room to enjoy. The herbal tea was excellent. The staff’s friendly greetings were wonderful. It’s a Hotel that’s hard to book, so if you get the chance, definitely give it a try.

I gifted this Accommodation to my grandparents to celebrate their 80th birthday. They had a wonderful trip and were truly delighted, saying that the Ryokan’s meals, hospitality, and Onsen became cherished lifelong memories for them both. Thank you very much for your thoughtful care in helping them enjoy a comfortable stay.

The open-air bath attached to the Room was spacious, and there were also sun loungers, making it perfect for relaxing. The Room was clean and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay. The service was polite and we were satisfied. The meals were delicious and luxurious; however, if I may be picky, the portions were too large. For guests in their 50s, about half would likely be enough to feel full. It would be even better if portion sizes could be adjusted.

My wife and I visit Aso a few times a year, and as we’ve gotten older, we’ve found ourselves spending more time relaxing rather than trying to see everything. We made an immediate Reservation based on the Accommodation name “Nonbiri Papa” and its great dining Reviews. After checking in, we had some time before dinner, so we started by unwinding in the private bath. Then it was dinner—the meal we’d been looking forward to! Starting with an Aso vegetable salad, followed by a handmade bacon cream stew wrapped in pastry, Amakusa sea bream, and Akaushi beef stew—everything was outstanding and we were completely satisfied. Since the Room is a separate detached building, we could relax without worrying about anyone around us. Surrounded by nature, with the owner’s warm smile and delicious food, it was the perfect laid-back getaway.

We were completely satisfied overall! The staff kindly checked in to make sure our dog was comfortable, which we really appreciated. The Room was spotless and very clean. The amenities provided were stylish as well. Everything for the light BBQ and the paella ingredients was fresh, delicious, and we were very happy with it. We brought our own alcoholic drinks. Making hot sandwiches in the morning was a great experience too, since there’s an easy-to-follow instruction sheet. It was hot during the day, but at night the temperature became comfortable, and we could relax with our dog in a hammock. The ger tent we stayed in was a little farther away, so we weren’t bothered by other families’ dogs. The only downside is that there are some spots where the internet connection is weak, but it’s actually nice for unplugging and chilling away from everyday life. We’d definitely recommend this place to friends who have dogs.

We stayed as a group of eight—my daughter and six grandchildren. There was a festival-style fair, and the kids were thrilled to use the pool both before and after meals. Above all, the buffet was delicious. We would love to come again with everyone.

The star-filled night sky was breathtaking, and the night trekking—something you rarely get to experience—was simply amazing. I was able to make irreplaceable memories with my 8-year-old daughter. Thank you so much.

It hadn’t been long since last month’s Kumamoto earthquake, and we weren’t sure if it was appropriate to travel, but we’re truly glad we came. Even my son, who doesn’t like fish, enjoyed the sea bream poêlé, and from the appetizers to dessert and breakfast the next morning, our whole family was very satisfied. Even after returning home, we keep reminiscing about the wonderful food and enjoying happy conversations. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay about a week ago. The Room was the perfect size for two, with simple yet refined interiors and a very clean feel. The bath was made of wood, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful soak without even going to an Onsen. Since our Room had a kitchen, we cooked and ate ingredients we bought at a roadside station. In the beautifully maintained garden with great views, there were benches and tables, so we had breakfast there and truly enjoyed it while feeling close to nature—it was very satisfying. At night, we could also gaze at Aso’s quiet, beautiful starry sky. What made our stay even better was how wonderful the owner is as a person. They were genuinely kind and thoughtfully suggested travel plans in Kumamoto and Miyazaki tailored to us. They also introduced us to truly delicious restaurants and lovely places that you can’t find in guidebooks or on Instagram. (Actually, during our trip in Aso I lost my engagement ring, and because on the last day we returned to Aso after visiting Takachiho Gorge, we were able to go to the recommended bakery and Oshitoishi Hill—and miraculously, I found my engagement ring!) The rice balls made from their carefully selected rice were also exceptional. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories in Aso. We would love to stay again!

The buffet is very delicious, featuring local specialties such as horse sashimi. There is a wide variety of dishes, and the inclusion of regional menu items is especially appealing. It offers excellent value for money and made our trip truly satisfying. There were also plenty of sweets. The view of the grasslands from the Room was outstanding. I would have liked more information about the Onsen’s benefits and properties.

Used for solo travel. It's hard to find a place where you can stay alone, so I'm grateful just to be able to stay, but this was a very good property. Shared bath and toilet. The age of the building is undeniable, but it is well cleaned and above all, the food is delicious. The good cost performance is probably because the building's depreciation has ended. The owner is a good person, and it became a good memory of the trip.

Thank you very much for everything. Was it my first time staying at a pension in 40 years? We have stayed at many Ryokan and Hotels, but the meals here were outstanding. At our age we can’t eat large portions anymore (laugh), so having small amounts of truly delicious food was perfect for us. We were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast—we even felt compelled to express our thanks from our side. The private bath exceeded our expectations, with everything prepared, even a body-washing towel. My husband, who is usually quite strict in his opinions, gave full marks for the food and said he would definitely like to return. We hope to visit again in autumn. I suddenly planned a road trip across Kyushu, driving north from Kagoshima, and decided to stay here along the way. Since it was a spontaneous trip, I hadn’t even chosen where to stay the next day. While traveling day by day, I thought I’d like to stay in Aso too—so I made a same-day Reservation around 11 a.m.! At first, I was worried because there were zero Reviews on the booking site, but it seems they had just newly opened, so that made sense. It mentioned that this was before the grand opening and asked for some understanding—but there was nothing to worry about. The staff service was solid. It gave me that reassuring “as expected from Kyoritsu Resort” feeling. Fresh draft beer in the lounge after arrival! Freshly ground coffee! It really soothed my tired body. You can see Mt. Aso right in front of you. Dinner was served in a spacious setting where we could relax. The only thing I noticed was that the food service timing felt a bit slow, but it also meant we could enjoy our wine at an easy pace—so overall it was great! The pasta in particular was delicious and made me want more. The Room had a double bed, but it felt more like queen? king? About the size of two semi-doubles pushed together—two of us slept comfortably without any issues. For the Onsen, there are three private baths as well, so even mixed-gender groups can enjoy them together. That said, the view of Mt. Aso from the open-air bath in the large public bath is exceptional—we only used one private bath once (lol). In any case, it felt like a hidden gem right now while Reservations are still easy to get! We had a wonderful stay!

All the staff were cheerful and energetic, and their service was excellent. The Room and the bath were spacious and comfortable. The view from the Room was outstanding. Every dish at dinner was delicious. I would definitely like to stay again when I visit Aso. Thank you very much.

Because we could bring our dog to almost everywhere on the property, we didn’t need to leave them alone in the Room and were able to relax comfortably. Pet amenities, treats, welcome drinks, complimentary sake, marshmallows by the campfire, alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator, ice cream, cooking utensils, seasonings—the list goes on; it truly felt all-inclusive and there was nothing to complain about. After we got home and told our family about it, they said they’d love to go too—so we would definitely like to stay again.

We enjoyed the view of Mt. Aso from our Room, and the Onsen was very relaxing. Breakfast was also very lavish and delicious. Even though we checked in at 11:00 PM, we really appreciated how kindly you accommodated us. However, the staff did not seem very friendly (perhaps they are just reserved), so we would have been happier if they smiled more.
