I had a comfortable stay. Both the property and the Room were clean and well maintained. The meals were delicious and served in just the right portions. The staff’s service was naturally friendly and made me feel at ease. The only disappointment was that I was looking forward to a beer after my bath, but there was neither a shop nor a vending machine, so I had to wait until dinner. That said, this is a rather indulgent request given how well stocked the drink bar in the lobby is. It was an Accommodation I would like to visit again.

The antique-inspired lobby interior was beautiful. The Room was also comfortable. Meals were served in a private dining room, and since it was next door, it was convenient. The food was delicious and at the standard level for this type of Ryokan. The Onsen is not large, but it wasn’t crowded, so I could relax and enjoy it.

The food was delicious no matter what we tried, and the tableware was stylish as well. The portions were just right, and it was thoughtful that there were additional menu options. The evening mini concert was interactive and fun. The Room and bath were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay very comfortable.

During our previous stay, both my wife and I were captivated by the charm of Myojinkan, and this time we returned for a long-awaited Multiple Night Stay to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had always thought, “Someday I’d like to stay multiple nights,” and it exceeded our expectations by far. Over two days, we discovered the atmosphere of the Accommodation that we hadn’t noticed in just one night—the stillness of the forest, the murmur of the stream, the gentle flow of time… We even forgot to check the clock. Completely freed from everyday busyness, it was two days that truly Cleared both mind and body. Precisely because it was a Multiple Night Stay, we felt we could fully savor what Myojinkan cherishes: “the luxury of doing nothing.” This time, we enjoyed Japanese cuisine for the first time. The French meal last time was wonderful as well, but Japanese cuisine moved us in a different way. Each dish’s dashi was genuinely delicious, and every course carefully brought out the natural flavors of its ingredients—we found ourselves looking at each other again and again saying, “This is so good.” Rather than being flashy, it was deeply flavorful and delicate food that reminded us anew of how profound Japanese cuisine can be. Of course, the Onsen remained just as exceptional as ever. We soaked many times while admiring scenery that changed with each time of day, feeling healed in both body and mind. Above all else, your hospitality was once again warm and effortless, giving us a comforting sense that “we’ve come home.” No one ever seemed rushed during our stay; yet every detail was thoughtfully attended to. It made us realize once more that this Accommodation’s comfort comes from each staff member’s character. This is a special place for us—an Accommodation not merely “to stay,” but a place to restore oneself. We will return in another season to experience this forest air and Onsen again—along with your delicious food and everyone’s smiles. Thank you very much for everything.

Stayed for two nights and three days. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The Room is old but clean, and we were able to relax comfortably. We were satisfied with the meals on both the first and second days; personally, we preferred the second day’s meal. The breakfast buffet was also quite good. The baths were excellent—both the washing area and the tub were spacious. The open-air bath was at just the right temperature, so you could stay in for ages. We especially appreciated the luggage service: if you leave your bags at an affiliated Hotel near the station, they deliver them to this Hotel, and on departure they send them back to the affiliated Hotel, making sightseeing much easier without heavy luggage.

True to its name as an Accommodation with Onsen, the hot springs left our skin silky smooth and helped us feel refreshed. The hospitality was also attentive, and thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

The Facility, meals, and staff service were all excellent. However, the only issue was the shuttle bus. We chose the full-course dinner starting at 7:30 PM. We took the bus from the Annex building and arrived at the restaurant on time, but we were kept waiting—perhaps because the previous seating ran over—and the course progressed very slowly. When we tried to take the bus back to the Annex building afterward, shuttle service had already ended. A wagon was arranged for us so we could return, but I felt bad and apologized repeatedly as I got out of the car. I wonder if it was our responsibility to confirm the time of the last bus and inform the restaurant in advance, but I do hope there can be more consideration for guests staying in the Annex building (for example, not accepting a 7:30 PM Reservation from the start). The morning cheese was especially delicious.

We stayed over a three-day weekend and were very satisfied with both the Facility and the service. It turned into a last-minute trip and we made our Reservation on the day of our stay, but this Ryokan was more comfortable than the Accommodation Fee would suggest. Meals: Breakfast featured a wide variety of dishes made with local ingredients. Everything was delicious. Room: The Room was clean and spacious enough for two people. Being able to replace the hand towels was a small touch, but I really appreciated it. Baths: We bathed twice, morning and evening. We were grateful that we could Reserve a private bath by phone before check-in. Every bath was very clean; none were particularly large, but they felt calm and relaxing. Because the shower water was also Onsen water, the water pressure was weak, but it didn’t bother me much. Inside the Accommodation: Every staff member greeted us with a smile whenever we passed by. We also enjoyed how much there was to see—there’s a pond inside, as well as a beautifully maintained courtyard with an ashiyu (footbath). Since I don’t often buy souvenirs at a Ryokan, I’m glad I could purchase cider made at the on-site winery.

We stayed here to express our everyday gratitude to my parents-in-law. The facilities offer a quiet, understated luxury, and the staff provide thoughtful, seamless hospitality. My parents-in-law were deeply moved by this first-time experience, and it reaffirmed that choosing this place was the right decision. Although it wasn’t for an anniversary or any special occasion, it became a wonderful day that reminded us how precious time like this can be. Thank you very much.

It is not a luxury Hotel, but the Room interior and carpets were clean, there was hardly any noise, and we were able to relax as a couple. Asama Onsen may be small, but we enjoyed it at a comfortable water temperature and could take our time. The staff were also kind and left us with a very positive impression.

Pure happiness: enjoying unlimited draft beer after a soak while looking out over Lake Tateshina. Sipping draft beer in the stylish lounge with a DEAN & DELUCA-like vibe after the Onsen was the best—just pleasantly tipsy. Watching the ever-changing lake view from the Room was truly soothing. The Room was also lovely and spotless. There was a coffee machine, and even the cups were DEAN & DELUCA—very stylish. The indirect lighting was great, and the mattress was comfortable. The Onsen was free-flowing and not crowded, which was wonderful. Dinner is served in the dining area. The all-you-can-drink option included delicious chilled sake, and we were very satisfied with the food. Breakfast felt like it included many pre-made items, but considering the price, there’s nothing to complain about. The staff were kind, and I saw the manager handling everything from breakfast service to the lounge and front desk—it was genuinely pleasant service. I’d love to visit again.

This was my second stay since 2018. As always, every dish at dinner was delicious, and I was very satisfied. The hospitality was also wonderful, and I truly appreciated the advice for visiting Matsumoto Castle the next day. Thanks to your guidance, we were able to sightsee smoothly without feeling the heat too much. If I have the opportunity again, I would love to stay with you in a different season. The Room was spacious, allowing us to relax and enjoy time with our grandchild. During the buffet, the staff interacted with us cheerfully and seemed to be enjoying themselves as they waved. The service from the lobby staff, café staff, and dining staff was exceptionally pleasant. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

A traditional ryokan renovated with a modern touch. The facility may not match the price perfectly, but the meals are absolutely delicious. Excellent value for money!

The meals were homemade from the seasonings up, and the koji-based dishes were tender. The rich, carefully selected game meat was delicious. Our dog happily finished the venison dish and even asked for seconds.

The facility is very clean, and the room is fully equipped with cooking utensils and dishes, allowing us to have a fulfilling time. The Onsen, playroom, and washing machine were all excellent, and I would like to use them again. The staff were very accommodating, and although there weren't many people, we were able to relax without any interference.

Thank you for coming outside to greet us at the entrance. We were welcomed with a honey-infused Chinese black tea as a welcome drink. The meals featured home-style Guilin (China) cuisine based on the idea that food is medicine, along with creative Japanese and Western dishes; both the aperitif and teas were from China. The owner’s wife—more like a traditional inn hostess—is originally from Guilin, China. The ingredients were also carefully selected, including vegetables and rice from Nagano, fish, and fruit from the husband’s hometown in Yamagata, making every dish delicious. The Room had just been renovated and was clean and comfortable. We appreciated having a unit bath in each Room. It may not suit those who want to soak in a large bathtub. Breakfast was also healthy and made with carefully chosen ingredients. There was a drink bar and even coffee from China. From the window we could see wildlife such as wild birds and squirrels. On a walk nearby, we even encountered deer. We were touched again by being seen off outside when leaving. It was so good that we will definitely return.

This Accommodation is in a very quiet location surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxing stay. We made a Reservation for a dog-friendly Room, and it was wonderful to spend time in nature with our dog without any worries. The sauna is private, so you can enjoy it as many times as you like at any time. The outdoor relaxation and cold plunge in the forest air felt amazing. Check-in was self-service. After you complete guest registration via the URL sent by email in advance, you will be able to check your Room number and check-in code. Next time, we’d love to come back for a Multiple Night Stay and enjoy some unhurried time with our dog!

Having an Onsen and a sauna in each unit was a wonderful touch, allowing us to relax in peace without worrying about others. I stayed just before a long holiday and happened to have the place to myself, so I could relax without any worries. The staff were wonderful and provided attentive service. The homemade fruit liqueurs, jams, and vegetables were delicious—I even forgot to take photos (lol). The only thing that didn’t suit me was the firm pillow, but everything else—the Room, bath, terrace, and more—was lovely. I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much!
