We stayed for one night with our dog. The dog’s name tag was adorable. We were very satisfied with the meals, the Room, the bath, and the complimentary drink service—it was so comfortable that it made us want to stay another night. Since it was raining, we didn’t go to Matsumotoro’s baths, but we’re already talking about going next time.

We visited with great anticipation, having heard this Accommodation has a 150-year history. From the warm welcome at arrival, everyone greeted us with smiles, and our expectations immediately rose. We were escorted to our Room by a staff member, and the attentive service was remarkably detailed—something rare these days. The building has been beautifully renovated. Relaxing in the lounge surrounded by nature while looking out over the clear stream of the Hoki River was wonderful, and our conversations flowed easily. The facilities and our Room were spacious and spotless, and the gentle scent of incense was delightful. Every staff member we passed had a soothing smile. Dinner was carefully prepared, and the thoughtfully chosen tableware made it feel even more delicious. My mother and aunt—both very particular about food—praised it highly as well; we were truly impressed by the flavors of the ingredients themselves. The semi-open-air bath in our Room and the public baths felt silky soft on the skin, so we enjoyed them again and again. It seemed to promote perspiration; we warmed up from deep within, and all fatigue melted away. There were also table tennis, massages, and more available to enjoy—the service is thorough in every way. We also heard that for a Multiple Night Stay, different dishes are served each day. After dinner, we took a walk along the Hoki River and saw fireflies drifting through an enchanting scene—it felt magical. This became an unforgettable memory of this Accommodation. On the drive home we were already saying, “Let’s come back for a Multiple Night Stay in another season.” At a time when many places are simplifying their services, we are truly grateful to have found such a wonderful Accommodation with such attentive hospitality. We will recommend it to friends and acquaintances as well. Thank you very much.

Return Visit Stayed for two nights a few years ago and was amazed by how incredible the Moor Onsen was. They even had our past stay history on record, which really showed their professionalism. At the time, we were a bit bothered by some odors in the Room and Onsen, so we “cheated” for a while with a newer Accommodation nearby (laugh). This time, we made a Reservation for a newly renovated Room. Bottom line: it was excellent! I’m not really into saunas, but I enjoyed it because you can adjust the temperature in various ways and even listen to music. There were plenty of towels, and bathrobes were provided as well. The only downside was that the open-air bath was slightly too hot. The food was delicious, and the service was flawless. If they renovate more guest rooms, we will definitely stay again.

This was my second stay this year because I particularly enjoyed the food last time. Originally a bank's retreat, the compact front desk and building layout reflect its history. There is no greeting upon arrival, luggage assistance, or farewell service (you carry your luggage to the third-floor front desk yourself and leave on your own). However, I appreciate the stunning ocean view from the hilltop location and the cozy atmosphere with only 10 rooms. The Onsen features a 78-degree natural hot spring source, with a slightly small but pleasant open-air bath and high-quality massage chairs. This time, I stayed in a Western-style room near the elevator that was added later; it was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downside was that the sink and toilet were adjacent without separation—though it did provide an open feel upon reflection. Dinner could only be enjoyed at the restaurant (unlike last time when in-room dining allowed for more relaxation), which was disappointing as wearing loungewear is not permitted—I would have preferred to dine in a relaxed atmosphere in loungewear. Starting February next year, dinner times will shift to two seatings; however, I hope they maintain flexibility like now where you can choose every 30 minutes. The food met expectations—delicious despite not using particularly expensive ingredients—with intricate sauces and beautiful presentation that truly felt like fine cuisine. Breakfast also offered plenty of variety and quality. Before dinner at the lounge, I ordered Royal Milk Tea which was so delicious that I ordered it again in the morning while enjoying an elegant atmosphere with ocean views through large windows. A staff member kindly offered to take my photo during this time while explaining distant scenery details—a friendly gesture that elevated my impression of this accommodation’s overall service level. Its convenient distance from Osaka makes me want to visit again!

Although we often visit Kyoto on day trips, we decided to stay overnight for a change and used this Hotel as a family. We checked in early and planned to sightsee around the Hotel, but it was so comfortable that we didn’t go out and instead relaxed in our Room. The building, made with locally sourced timber, had a wonderful atmosphere, and the Room Facility was new and very pleasant. All of the Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Personally, I found the welcome sweets especially delicious. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed with our dog, along with my parents—six of us and three dogs. From the warm welcome upon arrival, the staff’s service was outstanding, and we were overwhelmed by the magnificent exterior and luxurious lobby. We travel every year, and this is the first time I’ve written a Review for a Hotel. It was truly a 100% satisfying Hotel, and our whole family was able to spend a fun time together with smiles. It’s such a wonderful place that one night isn’t enough—we’re already planning to celebrate my parents’ 80th birthday here next year at Hotel Kawakyu. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

This was our fourth stay. Thank you for the kind and attentive service from the staff. We were very satisfied with the Onsen, which we could use even late at night, as well as the ice cream, Yakult, and drinks available afterward. It was a wonderful three-day stay. I have stayed with the Hotel Mets brand several times, but this was my first time in Omori. Thanks to your efforts to accommodate my Room assignment request as much as possible before check-in, I had a comfortable stay. The front desk staff also kindly supported me during the check-in process, so everything went smoothly without any major issues. The Room cleanliness and Facilities were what I have come to expect from Mets, and overall I was satisfied. In particular, I needed to use the internet in my Room for an online interview this time, and it worked without any problems. However, I felt the carpet design in the guest Room was a bit busy, and I would have preferred calmer colors and a simpler design. For foreign tourists like me, the Omori area feels a little far out, but since I was satisfied overall, I would consider staying here first if I have another chance to visit Tokyo.

This was my first time in Shizuoka, and I chose Prive as my Accommodation near the station—I was very satisfied. It’s truly close to Shizuoka Station, and even after checkout they kindly stored my luggage, so I could pick it up without rushing to catch the Shinkansen home. Above all, the spa was wonderful; as a woman, I really appreciated that Re products, cleansing items, and other amenities were fully provided. After returning from the bath to the Room, I couldn’t stop praising it to my husband. Of course, I went to the spa again in the morning too. Thank you for a lovely stay. I’ll definitely use your Accommodation again when I visit Shizuoka—and I’ll recommend it as well.

The staff member who welcomed us was outstanding, and the drinks and light snacks in the lobby were excellent, giving us the immediate impression that this was a top-class Hotel. The meals were delicious and high quality, and we were very satisfied with the thorough explanations and attentive service despite how busy it seemed. The location is great, with beautiful views of the Seto Inland Sea and a well-maintained building; it was comfortable, and because it faces west we could enjoy the scenery throughout without worrying about direct sunlight. The private bath was also spacious, clean, and comfortable. The late-night curry service was perfectly timed when we felt a bit hungry, which increased our satisfaction even more. If I had to mention anything, aside from the person who first assisted us and the staff member who served us at dinner, some others—while doing their best—seemed inexperienced; also, the building felt somewhat like a retreat facility rather than having more distinctive character.

I stayed at this Hotel in June. I arrived a little before check-in, so I asked at the front desk if they could store my luggage, and they kindly did so. The bubuzuke service was right near the end of the serving time, but there were many topping options and I left feeling full. I didn’t use the morning smoothie service or the drinks/snacks from 3 p.m., nor the alcohol service, but overall the services were good. The Hotel’s location was great and convenient for getting to the Shijo area. There were plenty of affordable and tasty izakaya and other restaurants nearby, so finding places to eat wasn’t a problem. If I had to mention something, the water in the large public bath was quite hot, and some foreign guests left hair dryers in use so others couldn’t use them when they wanted to. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was such a satisfying Hotel that even if you came alone, you could easily enjoy everything without needing to go elsewhere.

We were very satisfied with the Room, where we could enjoy warm hospitality and a relaxing stay. The cuisine, featuring an abundance of ingredients from Fukui Prefecture, was also excellent. It is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

This was my second stay. The moment I stepped through the entrance, it felt like a different world. The meals were delicious, the staff’s hospitality and manners were excellent, and our Room was upgraded—everything was taken care of. I would love to stay again. My daughter and I stayed here together. We had a luggage issue before arriving at the Hotel and ended up arriving an hour late for dinner, but you kindly accommodated us, for which we are truly grateful. For the meal, although it was already past the time when it would normally have been served as a boxed meal, you were considerate enough to serve us as planned, and I was nearly moved to tears. Every dish was not only beautifully presented but also thoughtfully prepared with seasonal ingredients and flavors that guests of any age can enjoy. The seasoning and portions were just right, and everything was truly delicious. We chose the plan with breakfast included, and it was very lavish—yet never heavy—and before we knew it, we had finished everything. The rice was especially delicious; my daughter and I even said afterward that we should have asked for seconds. The Onsen bath was very clean, and it felt so wonderful that we forgot all about the day’s troubles. We also used the open-air bath; since it was a full moon that night, we enjoyed a blissful time soaking while looking at the moon peeking through the trees. The Room was very spacious, with a Japanese-style room plus a separate bedroom with beds. It’s a layout where you can relax in comfort in the Japanese-style room and then sleep soundly in bed afterward—something guests of any age can enjoy. Above all else, every member of staff provided outstanding service. When we arrived at Kinugawa Onsen Station there were hardly any taxis available, and we were worried about whether we could reach the Hotel on foot along dark roads. You picked us up by car from the station, which helped us tremendously. You also drove us to the station again the next day—thank you so much. Thanks to you, we made our scheduled train on time. Your kindness in every respect truly moved us. There are many Ryokan out there and we have stayed at several before, but this is a Hotel where we were satisfied with everything: staff service, cuisine, baths, and Rooms. This time it was only one night because there were other places we wanted to visit as well; however, if we travel to the Nikko area again next time, we will definitely choose this Hotel. And since we had your wonderful food rather hurriedly this time due to our late arrival (laugh), next time I’d like to arrive on schedule and savor each dish more slowly. We sincerely appreciate all your kindness. Thank you very much. We look forward to staying with you again in the future.

I visited again. Even in the summer heat, many people were sightseeing in Onomichi. This time, I rode the ropeway for the first time—it climbs all at once and was truly thrilling. At a museum along the way to the Hotel, there was an exhibition about cats that felt very soothing. At the café, I enjoyed sweets with their recommended pairing. Dinner featured a variety of ingredients that went perfectly with wine. Breakfast was so delicious that I had a second serving of rice. I also enjoyed the letter room for the first time. I used to study calligraphy, so once I started writing different things with a brush pen, time flew by. It was also fun to see other guests’ creations. Spending summer in Onomichi while sharing everyone’s memories was wonderful too.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. The Facility is new and spotless, and the bathroom and bathtub are properly spacious. The Room layout is also well designed—the door isn’t directly visible from the desk, so I could work calmly. Breakfast was high quality too, and the meat soup was delicious! They also served excellent fruit, and at this price with breakfast included, I’m very satisfied. It’s a Business Hotel that could easily feel impersonal, but I discovered some great books at the library café at night, and the staff’s posted recommendations for local restaurants felt warm and welcoming. I often stay at Hotels that cost JPY 20,000–30,000 per night, but this place is more than good enough.

The lake could be seen from our Room, the dining area, and even the bath, and we were able to truly relax from the heart. The meals were gentle and beautifully presented without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients, the portions were just right, and everything was absolutely delicious. The proprietress’s thoughtful care and the kindness of everyone at the Accommodation could be felt in so many ways. It’s far away so we can’t visit often, but this time we even got to enjoy fireworks as a special treat, and staying at your Accommodation became a truly wonderful memory.

It was my first time staying here, and I was impressed by the convenient location near the station, the mostly covered pathways that kept me dry even in the rain, and the proximity to convenience stores and restaurants. Some points of concern: The bathroom had some red mold and dirt in places, which caught my attention. Additionally, the showerhead was difficult to fix in place, making it a bit inconvenient to use. Since the lobby is on the first floor instead of the second, the otherwise smooth pathway from the station is slightly disrupted. (That said, there is an elevator, so it’s not a major issue, but it might be challenging for those with a lot of luggage.) Positive points: The amenities were excellent. There were skincare products for both men and women, wash towels with the showerhead, and tea bags and coffee as beverages. The inclusion of chocolate-covered barley snacks was a fun and tasty touch. The elevator to the guest rooms required a card key to select a floor, which was great for security. The room itself was very comfortable, with a satisfying bed and a large TV that allowed access to YouTube and other features. They also provided luggage storage before and after my stay, and the front desk staff were all very polite and attentive. Since I had a Multiple Night Stay, I left my card key at the front desk before going out, and I was impressed by how quickly the staff handed me the card key upon my return, even before I mentioned my room number. Although there were some concerns with the bathroom, overall, I was very satisfied and would like to stay here again in the future. Thank you!

We stayed as a family. We really appreciated being able to freely enjoy the welcome drinks and snacks, video games, massage chairs, and more without it feeling overcrowded. The table tennis and darts were also available 24 hours whenever they were open, and since no Reservation was required, it was easy to join in and we enjoyed them many times. It was also nice to have services like cooling sheets and face masks, and we were happy to find a ReFa hair dryer as well. Dinner was delicious—the half buffet and seafood barbecue were so good, with more than enough food. In the morning there was limited-time seafood that we could make into a rice bowl, plus the famous fried oysters, fruit, sweets—everything was excellent and we were extremely satisfied. The Room was lovely and comfortable, and this is a Hotel we would like to stay at again. Thanks to you, it became a truly memorable and fun trip. Thank you very much.

My mother stayed with you on this occasion with three friends. She told me that everything—the Room, the Onsen, and the meals—was outstanding. To celebrate her 77th birthday, you prepared a purple hood and vest for photos and also provided celebratory red rice buns, which made for wonderful memories, and she is truly grateful. Although the three of them travel to many places, they were deeply impressed by your exceptional hospitality. Thank you very much.
