Being able to enjoy so many iwana dishes served at the table was truly appreciated! I was tired of buffets, so I really enjoyed the grilled iwana, iwana sushi, and sashimi—plenty of iwana in every form. I didn’t expect to have miso dengaku-style grilled iwana for dinner the next day as well, and it was delicious—I was so happy! The Onsen also left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. The indoor bath and the semi-circular open-air bath were both wonderful. All of the staff seemed to get along well and were kind and helpful, which made me feel at ease. The shop also had tasty items like soba noodles, sweets, and snacks (such as hoya), so I was happy to be able to buy souvenirs too. Thank you very much for taking care of us! I’ll definitely come back for the iwana料理 and Onsen again. Since it’s located up in the mountains, a Multiple Night Stay is recommended for anyone who wants to relax slowly in peace and quiet.

The Japanese-style Room was spacious and clean, allowing us to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. The Onsen was excellent—at first it felt a little mild, but after soaking for about 10 minutes, my body warmed up and I could truly unwind.

I stayed the night before visiting a grave on the equinox holiday, and I truly appreciate your courteous assistance despite my late-night check-in. I stayed in the West Wing; you briefly have to go outside when using the passageway from the main building, so it was a bit cold, but acceptable. The Room was clean and a good size, and the soundproofing was excellent—although my Room faced the road, it was quiet and comfortable. The large public bath was also pleasant, though it is not a natural Onsen. Breakfast was enjoyable as well for a Business Hotel buffet. If I had to mention one drawback, it was that the parking area was hard to find. I used a lot a short distance away as instructed by the Hotel, but it seemed like there might also be parking behind the Hotel... Since it was still quite cold, I would have preferred to park as close to the Hotel as possible.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with two adults and two children. The Room was clean and spacious enough for four people. There was also a hammock and an attached bath, so the kids had a great time. I didn’t use it myself, but there was a powder room by the toilet, which I think would be very convenient for young women. Above all, the meals were delicious and generous in portion size—breakfast was more than we could finish. Since we stayed two nights, they also changed the menu slightly, which we really appreciated. This accommodation is located right next to a famous architectural accommodation in Shibu Onsen, in front of the ninth bath of the Sotoyu Meguri. It is an ideal location for enjoying the Sotoyu Meguri. The hospitality from all staff, including the proprietress, is exceptional, making it a very pleasant place to stay. While the guest rooms are slightly dated, the meals are impeccable in both variety and taste, and of course, the onsen water soothes deep into your body to relieve daily fatigue. For us as a couple, this accommodation exceeded our expectations.

I stayed here during a trip from Kanagawa and stopped by Kurokawa Onsen. Everyone, including the manager, provided outstanding hospitality, and I had a very comfortable stay. I also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and the creative dishes were memorable. I was pleasantly surprised by the chawanmushi with shiratama dumplings and cheese—it was delicious. The horse sashimi was exceptional. When traveling in Kumamoto, I would like to stay at Wakaba again.

We stayed with our 3-year-old child. Since we were in the LOCA THE CLASS Room, there was a sauna in the basement and a large bath that could fit about 4–5 people. Including the post-bath relaxation area, it was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. It was great that even with a child, we could bathe comfortably. There was also a refrigerator in the changing room, stocked with plenty of bottled water. It was very helpful to be able to drink cold water immediately after bathing or using the sauna without having to go up to the living room on the first floor. We didn’t use them, but there were also powdered drinks provided for before and after the sauna. The living room was spacious as well, and there were two bedrooms. The Japanese-style Room had a tatami area that became almost full once two futons were laid out, which made it feel safe and comfortable for our child at bedtime. On the other hand, there was one disappointing incident during our stay. Early in the morning, the fire alarm suddenly went off with a loud siren throughout the Accommodation. We were later told it was due to an accidental operation in another Room, but it took about an hour for security staff to check and reset everything. During that time, the alarm kept sounding continuously, so we evacuated with our child to a relatively quiet terrace. Afterward, an operator contacted us to confirm what had happened and asked whether we would still be able to make checkout on time. Since it overlapped with breakfast and getting ready in the morning, we explained it would be difficult and they extended our checkout by about 30 minutes. We appreciate their consideration; however, we had hoped to spend a relaxing morning (including enjoying another bath), so that part was unfortunate. I also saw other Reviews on different sites mentioning issues related to fire alarms. As it seems many guests come from overseas as well, I would appreciate it if you could consider measures to prevent recurrence—such as providing clearer instructions at check-in on how to handle fire alarms. Overall, both the Facility and Room itself were extremely comfortable—this is a wonderful Accommodation that is easy for families to enjoy.

Staying in a room with a private open-air onsen for a multiple night stay and catching up on accumulated work has become my year-end tradition. I plan to clear my mind during breakfast and dinner, but sometimes I overindulge and can't work after dinner. Still, this is my favorite accommodation that always leaves me fully satisfied. I also love that dinner is served in a private room.

It was a Saturday stay, but since the Accommodation has only a few Rooms, it felt relaxing even when fully booked. The bath is a hot Onsen. There is also a sauna, which was great. We enjoyed the welcome drinks—alcohol, amazake, and popcorn—while relaxing in the lobby. We had bought corn at the local farmers’ market, and to our surprise there was a microwave in the Room. We heated it up late at night as a snack with drinks and enjoyed freshly cooked corn. We really appreciated that. The Room was clean, and although we didn’t use it, there was also a rain shower, which would be nice even during hours when you can’t use the bath. There is also a washing machine and dryer. It was an Accommodation where everything you might need is thoughtfully provided. Dinner featured very tasty meat; it wasn’t extravagant, but there were local dishes as well. The staff member serving us kindly explained many things to us, so we had a very satisfying dinner. We would love to stay again.

I had a comfortable stay. It’s not luxurious, but it feels like a compact and smart Hotel. The Simmons bed made for a great night’s sleep.

Thank you very much for your flexible support. All of the staff were friendly, kind, and attentive, and we had a very comfortable stay. We were able to rent a yukata for our dog—something she rarely gets to wear—and took some adorable photos. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. Because our stay was on a tight schedule, we couldn’t go fishing this time, but our dog happily ran around in the spacious dog run, and we were very satisfied with our stay. When we visit Nanyo or Shirataka again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

It was very close to the entrance of Akame 48 Waterfalls, making it extremely convenient for walking and exploring. The building is old, but the furniture and interior are refined and do not feel rustic. The food was also delicious. We went by car, and there is a steep slope in front of the Accommodation, so it’s best to drive carefully there. Some parts of the road on the way are narrow, but they are well maintained, so as long as you watch out for oncoming cars, there should be no problem.

Although it was my first stay, everything exceeded my expectations. The service was kind and made me feel comfortable. I visit the Tateshina area every year for an event, so this is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

After 9:00 p.m., there were no taxis at Arai Station, but I called the Hotel and they arranged one for me. The Onsen was clean, and the breakfast had a good variety and was delicious.

It was a small Hotel, but it was clean and nice! There was a beautiful river right in front, and I’d like to go swimming there next time!

We stayed for 4 nights as a family of four. Our Room was a maisonette type and not an extra bed setup, so we could sleep comfortably with plenty of space. Because the Hotel is located on a peninsula in the northern part of Amami Oshima, there isn’t much around, and there are no nearby restaurants for dinner. However, the Hotel restaurant was very tasty and reasonably priced, so we had dinner there on 2 of our 4 nights. It takes about an hour by car to join activities such as the Santaro Pass night tour, Kurose Mangrove Forest, or Kinsakubaru trekking, but Ayamaru Cape, Tomori Beach, and Heart Rock are close by. There is a coin laundry and vending machines in the Hotel. The shop is quite small—just tea, potato chips, and a few simple souvenirs. We took a walk to Kurasaki Beach but didn’t swim; however, the lobby offered rentals such as swim rings and life jackets. Since the Hotel is on a hill, it’s about a 5-minute walk downhill to Kurasaki Beach. It wasn’t direct beach access from the property itself, but many families with small children were swimming there. On clear nights when the moon isn’t bright, they also offer free stargazing sessions; unfortunately it was mostly cloudy during our stay. The event was held on our last day, but visibility wasn’t great. It was our first time visiting Amami Oshima and we weren’t sure what to expect from either the location or the Hotel, but it was wonderful—we would love to stay here again when we return to Amami Oshima.

We used the BBQ grill and a guest room. It was our first time having a barbecue with friends. We knew charcoal was sold here when we made the Reservation, but we didn’t know how many kilograms it came in, so we brought our own 3 kg bag from a home improvement store. (That was enough for us.) We also brought a grill grate, but we didn’t know the size of the BBQ grill, so in the end we bought fire starters and an additional grate at the shop. (The grate in the photo was purchased at the shop.) The bath area has one sauna and one hot tub, and the washing area is spacious and easy to use. It’s a Facility we’d like to use again if we have another chance.

The Facilities were well equipped, so the stay was comfortable. It was great to be able to use the large public bath. The parking lot is small, and on snowy winter days it was difficult to park. Since app registration was required, check-in took some time; registering in advance makes it smoother.

I stayed here because it seemed convenient as a base for hiking. The building felt historic, but the location made it easy to find dinner nearby. The Onsen was very relaxing, and although I had a Multiple Night Stay, breakfast had enough variety each day and was delicious—I was very satisfied. I would like to stay here again when hiking around Kirishima. Thank you very much.
