This was my first time staying here. The Hotel’s private beach was right in front of us, so we could start enjoying it from the morning. We stayed for two nights, and since we could make restaurant reservations and choose where to dine, we were able to relax and enjoy our meals. The food was delicious, and our child was very happy as well. The summer festival event was also wonderful. We even got to see the Awa Odori dance, and it made for a fantastic summer vacation. It was very convenient that there were places at the beach to rinse swimsuits and a spin dryer, but I think it would be even better if there were a route to the first-floor bath where you could rinse off sand from the beach or pool and enter directly in swimwear. If the drink selection at the evening family buffet included a few more options such as local sake, adults might be able to enjoy it even more.

Thank you for hosting us for two nights. The entire property, including the Room, was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the breakfast; it offered a wide variety of delicious options, and we were very satisfied. When we visit Hakodate again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

I stayed at this Hotel on a trip with my son’s family. It’s close to the park, and the Room is very cute. My grandchildren were excited and delighted from the moment we arrived, thanks to the adorable character statues at the entrance. Breakfast was delicious, and there was a great variety of desserts as well—we were very satisfied. I’d love to stay here again when we visit USJ.

I stayed again because I really love Tenku-no-Yu. Even though it is under renovation and there was no open-air bath, I could still use the hot stone sauna and the indoor bath, which was wonderful. I also appreciate that it is available only to overnight guests. The Room was functional, easy to use, and comfortable. Breakfast was great as always, including the delicious pudding; however, on the second morning we went a bit later and my husband’s favorite marinated tuna was already gone, which was very disappointing. Looking forward to it next time!

I considered an Accommodation on the Nagara River because I wanted to show my daughter cormorant fishing. An Onsen Accommodation would have been nice, but we wanted a buffet-style meal, so we chose this Hotel. It was an extremely hot day, and the moment we stepped into the Hotel, the cool air revived us. As a Diamond member benefit, I was happy to receive a one-drink service in the first-floor lounge. The Room we were assigned was on a high floor with a great view, and it was spotless—truly impressive. The dinner buffet isn’t in a huge restaurant, but the quality of the dishes served was excellent, and we enjoyed everything. Drink prices were reasonable for a Hotel, and since it was before cormorant fishing, my daughter and I each enjoyed one drink. We used taxis for round-trip transportation to the cormorant fishing site, which made it very comfortable. Even though it was hot that day, there was a pleasant river breeze, and it helped us forget the daytime heat for a while. Because the river level was low, it seems they didn’t actually catch many ayu, but being able to see energetic cormorants up close made it a great experience. At breakfast, there were many inbound guests early on, but they cleared out quickly, so we were able to eat in peace. The well-known ayu rice porridge was delicious—I went back for seconds several times. The selection of dishes also reflected local flavors well, with various Gifu specialties, which I appreciated. For morning fruit there were oranges, pineapple, and lychees; I’d be happier if there were a few more options. I liked the selection at the shop as well. If I had one request, I would truly appreciate Shuttle Service from the station to the Hotel. As expected of an established Hotel with history behind it, my daughter and I enjoyed an elegant stay. This was my first return in about a year. I stayed for two nights and three days, and it was still a great Hotel. The staff’s service was excellent as well. In particular, I was impressed by the attentiveness of the restaurant staff at breakfast. They worked efficiently, replenishing dishes and clearing used plates promptly. Because they were constantly checking the food, there was no concern—common at other Hotels—that fewer items would be available if you went later. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

I stayed here while reuniting with an old friend. As soon as I entered the Room, fireworks at Marine Stadium went off, making it feel like a warm welcome. The check-in and guidance were very courteous, and breakfast the next morning was truly delicious. My friend who traveled from far away was also very happy. I will stay here again. I stay here around the same time every year. This year again, I was able to truly relax and feel refreshed. The staff were attentive, and everyone was wonderful. There are more foreign attendants now, but their Japanese is excellent, and I imagine they are well received by international guests as well. I use a wheelchair, and the considerate support provided was just right, making my stay even more comfortable. Having an Onsen in the Room that I can enjoy anytime is also fantastic. I would love to come back again for a relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

Every time I visited Niigata, I would come to the Bakauke Observatory and hope that one day I could stay at this Hotel—my wish finally came true. At the Bakauke Observatory, you can’t take your time enjoying the view for long, but from the Hotel room you can admire it whenever you like, and it’s also great to be able to head to the observatory whenever you feel like it. Being able to enjoy different scenery from daytime through morning depending on the time of day is a special perk unique to this Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—just what you’d expect from a luxury Hotel. Breakfast was excellent across the board, and in particular, the chef’s omelet was better than any I’ve had at other Hotels. I’d love to stay again.

Thank you for taking care of us on our family trip. Check-in while enjoying a welcome drink was a nice touch, and the Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were two bathing options: a free open-air bath and a large public bath, and we could even see Mt. Fuji from the large public bath. Dinner was delicious across the board; although we were full by the end of the meal, the house specialty “Izu Mabushi” was light and refreshing, so we enjoyed it easily. Breakfast featured a variety of side dishes served in small portions on multiple small plates—beautifully presented, and every dish was tasty. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We would love to come again. Thank you very much.

The Room was very clean, and we were able to relax comfortably. The Facility was well stocked with amenities and drinks, and they promptly arranged a taxi for us, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much.

It was a challenging time due to the typhoon, and staying at Renaissance Resort Okinawa was unexpected, but it turned into a very enjoyable trip. This added even more to the fun of traveling in Okinawa.

Now in my 40s and with my parents in their 70s, I stayed here for a special parent-and-child trip. Unfortunately, it rained, but in the end we had an extremely satisfying stay. The sense of history, the tasteful architecture and furnishings, the staff’s hospitality, the wonderful meals (we dined at Le Trianon for both dinner and breakfast), and the cleanliness of the large public bath—plus the stunning view from the open-air bath—were all outstanding. My parents were truly delighted as well. In particular, Le Trianon’s breakfast course was the best we have ever had on any trip! Each dish—from the egg dishes to the smoothies—was carefully explained to us, making it a memorable experience (I was especially impressed that they used eggs from my hometown). Recently I stayed at newer luxury hotels in Karuizawa and Atami in a similar price range to this Hotel, but this historic Hotel clearly stands apart in terms of service and atmosphere. I hope to return with my family someday. Thank you very much.

On my way back from a business trip to Tokyo, I planned a visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, which I had long wanted to see. I stayed one night at an Accommodation in Kinugawa Onsen. I chose it after searching with conditions such as having an in-Room Onsen bath and being reasonably priced. The lobby was well maintained, and the hallways were very clean as well. Our Room had an Onsen bath and two separate rooms, so my wife went to the large public bath while I enjoyed the in-Room bath. The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right—slightly on the generous side. It was a quiet Accommodation where I could relax in the Onsen, which was wonderful. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone was polite and courteous. One thing that concerned me was that when I opened the window by the in-Room bath, there were quite a few spider webs. Also, insects gathered on the window at night so we couldn’t open it; I thought that if there had been a screen door or similar, we could have opened it. If I have another chance to visit nearby, I would like to stay again.

We stayed for two nights with three families on a family trip to celebrate a retirement. This was our third stay, and we were a little worried this time because we were traveling with a baby, but the restaurant staff kindly accommodated our requests, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. The garden is always beautifully maintained, making walks very pleasant, and everyone in our family was delighted with the delicious food and wonderful Onsen. Thank you for a truly happy stay.

This is a wonderful Hotel. IHG members can check out at 2:00 PM, so you can work up a sweat in the large public bath during a quieter time before heading home. Breakfast is delicious, and after you order an egg dish it is brought to your table, so you don’t have to wait for several minutes in front of the live kitchen—an appreciated touch. The “Bircher muesli” on the menu is especially recommended. Finally, the location is excellent: taking advantage of its convenient setting, you can drive about 10 minutes early in the morning to Ogizawa Station and reach Kurobe Dam from there—only about 30 minutes to this spectacular dam in the sky.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

The hot spring quality was excellent, and the view from the open-air bath was wonderful. The staff’s hospitality was also very satisfying. The food was delicious, and I think this Accommodation offers great value for money. In January, I’d like to come to Hokkaido for a Multiple Night Stay.

Just as the title says, this Accommodation was absolutely amazing in every way! Even before we arrived, they were waiting for us and kindly guided us to the parking area, then smoothly escorted us to the lobby. It was a bit of a walk from the main building to the annex, but from the moment we stepped in, the calm, crystal-clear atmosphere was so soothing. From the covered walkway you can see the sea through a pine grove, and even the lawn in the garden was beautifully maintained—everything felt spotless and impeccably clean. We checked in while enjoying a welcome drink in the lounge; all of the staff provided attentive service that never felt overbearing—just thoughtful and considerate. Dinner was served as a course meal, featuring exquisite dishes made with local Awaji ingredients and presented beautifully. The Western-style breakfast course was also outstanding. In particular, just as mentioned in other Reviews, the pot-au-feu was incredible. The lounge also had an excellent selection of high-quality alcohol, drinks, and food options, so we could truly relax at our own pace. Normally we would have needed to go out shopping for things, but this time everything we needed was available within the Accommodation—we were completely satisfied without leaving! The Room and amenities were perfectly prepared with nothing lacking, and having an open-air bath attached to our Room was fantastic! We would love to stay at Hamari-kyu again next time.

I stayed here on the recommendation of an acquaintance who has visited Karuizawa many times. It was just a few minutes’ walk to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, so it was very convenient for exploring the area. The Room and the large public bath were both spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I really enjoyed both meals—they were delicious. I requested the Shuttle Service, and the vehicle was clean and the ride was excellent. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been even more comfortable if the TV supported network features. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Karuizawa.
