From arrival to departure, the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service throughout. My plans before check-in took longer than expected and I arrived late for my spa appointment, but they kindly adjusted the schedule for me. The spa was wonderfully relaxing, and I was able to unwind. Dinner in the room was a delight for both the eyes and the palate, making full use of seasonal flavors and local ingredients. The bath I had been looking forward to met my expectations, and the open-air bath in the room felt refreshing; I also enjoyed it at a leisurely pace in the morning. They were truly supportive with everything, including arranging a taxi and advising on our next sightseeing plans. I would love to visit again when I have the chance.

It was pleasant that everything—from the lobby and hallways to inside the elevator—was covered with tatami mats. Right after check-in, we were welcomed with cold matcha tea, which was a nice touch. Both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room across the hallway. The simmered kinki (rockfish) was especially delicious. The staff were also very attentive. I think it would have been perfect if face towels were provided in the large public bath.

I stayed in a quiet, comfortable Room at the far end of the top floor. Thank you very much. The step between the unit bath and the Room is relatively low, so please watch your footing in the dark, but the Hotel is clean throughout, with wide corridors and elevator halls. Overall, I think it’s a good Business Hotel for the price.

It was so close and convenient that I almost walked past it, thinking it might be a bit farther from the station. The Room was spacious and clean, and I’d like to stay here again.

This was our first time staying here, and we were very well taken care of. From the warm welcome upon arrival, we were served tea and delicious sweets before being shown to our Room. The guest Room had a clean, modern Japanese style, and we were truly impressed by the wonderful view of the sea from anywhere in the Room—even from the bath. In addition, the Onsen bath had silky, slightly thick water that felt great and left our skin smooth; we enjoyed it many times and were completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were more than enough in quantity, and every dish was delicious. We initially thought the dining area seating might be close together, but it wasn’t at all; we enjoyed chatting while listening to explanations about the dishes from the proprietress and staff. We had been looking for an Accommodation where we could simply relax, enjoy great food, and soak in good hot water—and this was a wonderful Accommodation where we could truly take our time. We’re happy to have found an Accommodation that makes us think, “We definitely want to come again in a different season.”

We have stayed with our dog at many luxury hotels in Japan and abroad, and this was honestly one of the very best—easily competing for No.1 or No.2. If I were to compare it overseas, it’s hard to say which is better: this or the Manor at Capella Singapore. It was a truly outstanding detached villa suite that stands shoulder to shoulder with the world’s top luxury hotels. We stayed for two nights from 9/20 with three family members and our dog. Because a typhoon was approaching, we arrived early, but the staff handled everything politely and smoothly and kindly escorted us to our room about two hours earlier than usual. Before our stay, I read every review on Ikkyu, and it felt like many of the past concerns had been addressed. I was also impressed by how sincerely you seem to take guest feedback. Since this two-night stay cost around JPY 1,000,000, I was slightly worried about whether it would truly feel worth the price—but the sense of exclusivity in the detached villa (No.100) exceeded all expectations. A dedicated parking space, an approximately 300 m² private dog run, a two-story/two-bedroom layout, in-room dining available only for this villa, complimentary champagne and drinks in the refrigerator, private dining rooms when using the restaurant—every detail felt thoughtfully elevated in a way that made perfect sense. The meals were especially exceptional—clearly a step above any hotel we’ve stayed at before. The matsutake course and clay-pot rice were superb, and on our second night you prepared an entirely different menu from the first. To truly experience RETONA at its best (ideally in this villa suite), I strongly recommend staying at least two nights. (I’m sure other rooms are wonderful as well.) It became an unforgettable three days worthy of my daughter’s 12th birthday and our dog’s 6th birthday. We are deeply grateful to all staff members for your warm hospitality—including your attentive email communication even before arrival. If I may mention just one small point: there was a spider web on the ceiling above the sink area. We fully understand that insects are common given the natural surroundings—and it was minor enough for us to remove ourselves—but checking higher areas as well would make everything even more perfect. Next time we will definitely return as a family to stay in the same room again—perhaps in spring or summer—to enjoy seasonal dishes in another time of year. This has become one of my favorite luxury hotels; thank you very much for everything.

The staff provide courteous and kind service. The bath and in-room amenities are well stocked. As it was midwinter, a warming gel pack had been placed inside the bedding, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of a cozy, warm futon. The Room air conditioner kept us plenty warm, and a fan heater was also provided as a backup to further heat the room if needed. The meals were excellent in both taste and portion size. We were able to fully enjoy spiny lobster until we were completely satisfied. Overall, it is a wonderful Accommodation with an elegant atmosphere.

I stayed here to attend an away match for my favorite J1 League soccer team. It’s a new, clean hotel with spacious rooms, and I had a very comfortable stay. Namba is within walking distance, so the location is excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and I highly recommend this hotel.

I always have a comfortable stay here. This time, I was on the 4th floor, and it really helped that there was almost no step between the unit bath and the room. I’ll be happy to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here as a base for exploring the Yoshino area, rich in nature and history. The hospitality was warm and heartfelt, with a simple charm. Flowers and greenery were thoughtfully placed throughout, and the room had an outdoor bath where I could enjoy the surrounding nature. The river was also nearby, and listening to the sound of the flowing water made me feel calm and relaxed. Because it’s an outdoor bath, there were quite a few insects, but it didn’t bother me much. The meals were delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the gelato from TENKARAGELATO served for dessert—it had unique flavor combinations and tasted great. I was also able to visit the temples and shrines I’d hoped to see, making it a wonderful trip.

The entire hotel, including the room, was spacious and clean, and I was able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. This was my eighth business trip to this area, and it was my first time staying at your hotel. Unlike other hotels I have stayed at before, not only was the room excellent, but the staff were also very courteous. The lobby was spacious as well, and even when I took a short break there, it felt very welcoming. I have one request. Because of my work, I stay at hotels in many different regions, and they all provide shower caps for women. During this stay I needed one, so I asked the front desk, but I was told they were not available. For that reason, I gave 4 stars. Since you may also have female guests staying with you, I would be grateful if you could provide them if possible. I will be traveling here again next month for business and plan to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

We had a very comfortable stay! The room was spacious, so we were able to relax and unwind. There was also a large public bath, which helped us soothe our tiredness. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet. We would definitely like to stay here again.

During Silver Week, my daughter and grandchildren came to Tokyo to visit, so we stayed in a Godzilla Floor room and a Godzilla View room for my grandchild who loves Godzilla. They were thrilled, and we had a truly wonderful time. Both the staff and most of the guests were from overseas, but everyone was kind and treated us warmly. Breakfast was delicious as well. With work every day, I rarely get the chance to travel from Kansai to Tohoku. However, this is a famous long-established Accommodation that I had always wanted to visit someday, and this time I finally made it happen. As expected, it was wonderful. The vast, beautifully maintained garden, delicious meals, and the well-trained staff who welcomed us so pleasantly made it truly relaxing. Thanks to tips from the staff, we also visited Higashine City and Tendo City the next day and enjoyed lots of great local food. I also accidentally left my electric toothbrush behind, and I really appreciate how quickly you handled it. This is another Accommodation I would definitely love to return to.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also separate. There was no housekeeping during our 3-night stay, but we didn’t need it. Trash was collected and towels were replaced. The front desk staff were very helpful—they even recommended nearby shops and gave us a map.\nThe guest-only lounge has basic amenities: hot water, ice, cups, paper cups, and dishwashing sponges and detergent. I used the lounge every morning.\nI also used the coin laundry during my stay. I’d like to stay here again!

This was my first time visiting Zao Onsen. After considering several Onsen Accommodations, I chose a smaller Accommodation where I could truly relax. As I headed from Kaminoyama toward Zao, the temperature dropped, and after riding my motorcycle in the intense heat, the cool breeze felt wonderful. The Accommodation is an older building, but it was filled with many charming decorations that made me feel warm inside. The indoor Onsen was artificial, but it was pleasant and available 24 hours a day. Outside, in a separate building, there was a free-flowing hot spring bath fed directly from the source; it was strongly acidic and at a comfortable temperature, making it very enjoyable. Dinner dishes were all carefully prepared and included many local specialties from Yamagata Prefecture. It was great that each dish came with an explanation when served. The steamed dish in particular was outstanding. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of items, and I was very satisfied. All of the staff were kind and greeted us properly—I could really feel their hospitality. This is an Accommodation I would like to visit again.

I stayed with my Chi-poo. The Room was clean, and it was great to have a private open-air bath. It would have been perfect if we could dine in the restaurant together with our dog. The on-site dog run is covered with wood chips, which is a thoughtful, dog-friendly touch. The staff were pleasant, and it was a wonderful Accommodation. At check-out, we also received a discount voucher for our next stay, which makes it easy to return.

Despite my sudden late-night stay, you kindly checked me in. Thank you so much...! It was a single room, and the bed was quite fluffy. Breakfast mainly featured Chinese congee, and there were also rice dishes. I had the seafood congee, and it was very delicious! However, since the lobby is on the second floor, you might be a little confused when entering. I was too... Also, because it was late at night, I entered from the elevator-only entrance rather than the main entrance. USB adapters can be borrowed from the front desk counter.
