I always stay here the night before my departure from Hiroshima Airport. This time as well, I was able to relax in the welcome lounge, and I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. I request the Shuttle Service between the airport and the Hotel every time, and this time the flowers in the lobby were even more beautiful than usual—I couldn’t help but stop and admire them. I’ll definitely stay again!

About an 8-minute walk along the main street from Sendai Station, the moment you step through the front entrance you’re greeted by a refreshing fragrance—pleasantly stimulating to the senses. In the lobby, depending on the time of day, there are live piano or pipe organ performances, with plenty of Bach filling the space—another delight for the ears. Even in the large public bath, you can stretch out while listening to Bach—a soothing treat for a body tired from walking. At breakfast, small dishes made with carefully selected Tohoku ingredients are packed tightly across the spread—pleasing to both eyes and palate. With a typhoon approaching and heavy wind and rain outside, we still went to watch the Eagles! This was a wonderful Hotel that became an unforgettable memory alongside Maeken’s milestone 100th NPB win.

It was a truly satisfying day in every way. All four private Onsens were wonderful, and we enjoyed them right up until one hour before check-out. We were also happy with the wide variety of complimentary drinks available at any time. Of course, every dish was delicious, and we especially appreciated the strong local character of the cuisine. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again as soon as possible.

I seem to have booked an accessible room without realizing it, and was shown to a first-floor guest room. The in-room bathroom was an impressive stone design with great attention to detail, and the tub had plenty of continuously flowing water. The stone flooring was also slip-resistant, which felt reassuring. The clear Onsen water was silky-smooth—an excellent bath overall. That said, because the first-floor room is almost level with the embankment, bamboo grass has been planted for privacy and the room felt a bit dark, which was disappointing. With the special blinds set at just the right angle, views from outside are well blocked. Whether it was the mattress or something else, I slept very soundly. The large public baths are on the 3rd floor (women), 2nd floor (men), plus there are additional baths in the basement including a granite bath and an open-air rock bath. It’s fun to enjoy a variety of baths around the Accommodation from morning onward, and my companion was very satisfied as well and seemed refreshed. There are stairs to reach some of the basement baths and the open-air rock bath, so even younger guests should take care. Dinner featured local specialties such as salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, followed by more unpretentious yet delicious dishes—overall a very positive impression. Breakfast was also served seated in private or semi-private rooms, so we could enjoy it calmly. After flood damage, tasteful renovations have been done throughout; starting with the lobby, everything felt comfortable overall. However, since it isn’t newly built, there were slight slopes here and there in places like corridors. Being along the riverbank also means small insects can’t be completely avoided in summer. A Facility where you can feel the atmosphere of a classic Onsen inn. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay in a guest room on either the 2nd or 3rd floor.

I have stayed here several times, and it remains a wonderful Hotel. The staff are excellent, and the meals are outstanding and delicious. This time, I also enjoyed seasonal ingredients that felt like summer and was very satisfied. The Room is also lovely, with beautiful fittings and flooring. It is quiet and relaxing. Whenever I come here, I can spend my time slowly and peacefully, which I really appreciate. I would definitely like to stay again.

I stayed here to relax alone, soak in the Onsen, do nothing, and enjoy delicious food. All of those wishes were fulfilled, and I was completely satisfied. Both breakfast and dinner were heartfelt and delicious. Next time, I would like to stay again with my family. Thank you very much to all the staff.

Despite concerns about the earthquake, I traveled from Tokyo to Takachiho. I had been planning for a long time to visit Takachiho again, so I decided to go—and I was relieved that there was hardly any impact and I could stay with peace of mind. I was satisfied with everything: the Facility, the meals—everything. First of all, I was surprised that the Room had not only indoor and outdoor baths but also a sauna. It was my first time in my life staying in a Room with a sauna. The meals were explained in a picture-story style, and each dish had its own story and attention to detail, making them both delicious and fun to enjoy. Personally, I especially recommend the salt-baked kappo chicken and the panna cotta. On top of that, there was plenty of playful creativity with a school-festival vibe, and above all it was blissful time surrounded by the staff’s smiles. Nearby are Takachiho Shrine, night kagura performances, and Takachiho Gorge where you can also take a boat ride—an extremely convenient location. Thank you very much. If I have the chance, I’d love to return again.

I stayed at this Hotel after returning from the Awa Odori festival. I watched Awa Odori from paid seating, and before I could even enjoy the afterglow, I headed to the bus stop—only to find there was just one bus per hour. On top of that, people rushed on without lining up, and after being jostled on a packed bus, I arrived at the Hotel exhausted. The front desk staff welcomed me without showing any displeasure, and I slept soundly until morning! Breakfast was inexpensive yet delicious, with a wide variety of items. The massage chairs were also free to use, so I could relax with a massage until it was time to leave. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

From arrival to departure, the staff treated us with great care, and we had a very pleasant stay. The service was impeccable. The Room retains the charm of a traditional Japanese house while offering a calm, spacious layout for relaxing. In addition to the deck, there is also an area with a sofa where you can sit and take in the outdoor scenery at your leisure, which made it easy to unwind. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the deck as much as we had hoped. The Onsen was also wonderful—you can soak in free-flowing natural hot spring water whenever you like. The bathtub was spacious enough to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. There is a separate shower room in front of the bathing area as well, which made it convenient to wash before getting into the tub. What left the strongest impression on us in particular was the cuisine. Fresh seafood was used generously, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Although we weren’t blessed with good weather this time and couldn’t see the sunset we had been looking forward to, we still thoroughly enjoyed simply spending time at this Accommodation. Being able to relax so comfortably even on a rainy day may be something unique to Ujo Soan. We were highly satisfied with everything—service, Room, Onsen, and meals—and it’s an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

It was truly the best two days in between the rainy season. I was able to let go of my everyday fatigue and stress. The view from the bath over the Kikuchi River was so breathtaking it felt like I could be drawn right in—I could have looked at it forever. The meals were refined and delicious, perfect for me. In particular, the Shichijo rice was outstanding—shiny and absolutely delicious. The front desk service was excellent as well. I would definitely love to visit again.

This was our first stay with the VMG Hotel group, and we made a Reservation because we were drawn to the location and breakfast at Heian Shrine. With only three Rooms, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Even though we may have caused some inconvenience with two children, everyone at the Hotel was truly kind and helpful, making our stay very comfortable. They also handled an issue pleasantly and professionally, for which we are very grateful. As for the Room, it was a bit inconvenient that there was no luggage rack like many Hotels have. Also, since the bathroom, toilet, and sink were all in one unit, it felt slightly inconvenient for five people across three generations (as two-bedroom or connecting Rooms often have two bathrooms/toilets). That said, the Room was spacious and spotless; we could hear the bell from Kodai-ji Temple and even catch glimpses of people passing along Nene-no-Michi—full of charm and atmosphere. Thanks to the great location, we could walk to many sights. Gion at night and Ishibe-Koji Alley were also wonderful. Breakfast at Heian Shrine was a special experience as well—this stay truly made us glad we chose this Hotel. Highly recommended.

I love traveling solo to Onsen and visit places all over the whole country. I’d heard of Umegashima Onsen, but for some reason it had never been on my list—what a loss, haha. Last month I stayed at Umegashima Onsen for the first time (at a different Accommodation), and it quickly became one of my favorite Onsen. This time as well, it was great that they only accept a small number of guests and offer private reserved baths. That said, I like to soak in the Onsen whenever I want as many times as I like, so I often choose an Accommodation with an in-Room bath or one that’s available 24 hours. Unfortunately, here it was only available until 11:00 p.m. Also, having to ask the staff each time to get the key made me feel hesitant. I wish I could use it more freely without worrying about bothering anyone. The meals were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were different from what I’m used to in the Izu Peninsula or Hakone, which made everything feel very fresh.

This trip was to celebrate my mother’s birthday. She requested to see the Onsen she had visited with my late father during their honeymoon, and also the snow monkeys at Jigokudani Monkey Park. We chose this Accommodation because Reviews repeatedly mentioned the private family bath and a homey, relaxing atmosphere. True to the Reviews, it was a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place. The warm glow of washi paper lamps displayed throughout was beautiful, and we could feel the proprietress’s thoughtful care in every detail. And the food—absolutely delicious! Dinner just kept coming (laugh). Every dish was freshly made and served hot. The best of all was the kake soba hand-made by the chef that very morning. I love soba and visit many places, but I’m sorry—this was truly the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Breakfast also made us happy with piping-hot dashimaki tamago. The highlight of breakfast was the miso soup—I wanted to take home the whole pot. As we’ve gotten older, we choose our trips carefully based on both meals and Accommodation quality, and this place offered outstanding value for money. More than anything, we made unforgettable memories here. On our way out, I bought one of the lamps that were on display at the Accommodation as a gift for my mother. Thanks to you, it became the best birthday present possible. We’ll come again in winter—and again for her birthday next year too. Once again, I stayed at Dormy Inn. A Hotel with reliable Onsen and meals. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

My mother, my wife, and I stayed for one night in one Room. It was a Japanese-style Room, and it was clean and well maintained, with a great selection of amenities. The body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and face wash were all high quality and felt wonderful to use. The front desk staff were very pleasant and welcoming, and the breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and was very delicious. If I have the chance to visit Shimane again, I will definitely stay here again.

Thank you very much. This was our third stay. We were able to relax, and my husband was very happy as well. We were lucky not to have any rain. It turned into a wonderful wedding anniversary. To the General Manager, and all the staff, thank you very much.

I checked in at night, and although it was fairly crowded, the staff handled everything smoothly and discreetly handed me a bag for the amenities. When I entered the Room and opened the curtains, I could see the lights of the Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama, which was exciting for us with DisneySea planned for the next day! Above all, the Facility was excellent. The next day we stayed at an official Hotel, but this Accommodation was better. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed for two days, and I was truly impressed by the staff’s kind and attentive service. I have stayed at many Hotels across Japan, but I was once again struck by the meticulous hospitality at Hotel Okura Kyoto. Throughout my stay, their genuine desire to help guests feel as comfortable as possible came through naturally in many situations. During my stay, I dined at the French restaurant on the 17th floor and also used room service; both the food quality and service were impeccable. More than just its Facilities or location, I feel that the staff’s hospitality itself is one of this Hotel’s greatest attractions. It was a Hotel where I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed to celebrate my father’s 81st birthday. From the warm welcome at our car, the staff’s courteous and heartfelt hospitality left a strong impression, and we were able to spend the entire stay in great comfort. Not only was every detail thoughtfully taken care of—including arranging a wheelchair—but the all-inclusive offerings were also exceptionally fulfilling, allowing us to relax and enjoy a luxurious time without worrying about the clock. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, and together with the atmosphere and interior design throughout the Hotel, we felt quality and attentive care in everything. I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel for such a special occasion as a birthday. I had assumed it might be used mostly by younger guests, but there were many older guests as well, so we could enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to everyone’s kindness, it became an unforgettable memory for us. This is a wonderful Hotel that makes us want to return in another season. Thank you very much for your sincere hospitality. (Thank you also for your help regarding our forgotten item—sorry for the trouble.)

I loved everything—the location of the Accommodation, the beautiful and calming interior, the spacious and impeccably clean Room with a semi-open-air bath, and the lush Japanese-style garden full of greenery. We chose the “Izu Seasonal Kaiseki” Plan, and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding in quality and generous in portion size. The free-flowing Onsen water could be enjoyed at our leisure in the private open-air bath, the large public bath, and in our Room. The Onsen water—said to be 120°C just five minutes earlier—was carefully temperature-controlled so it reached the tub at a perfect temperature: neither too hot nor too lukewarm. I also appreciated the thoughtful services such as matcha tea and traditional sweets at check-in, a pot of iced water delivered to the Room during dinner, and sherbet or coffee served in the lobby after bathing—but above all, what impressed me most was the attentive hospitality of every staff member. With unstable weather and days of rain leading up to our stay—and rain forecast for our dates—I was worried at first. Fortunately, we had good weather for both days we were there, and staying at such a wonderful Accommodation with such high service standards made this trip truly relaxing. Thank you very much. Of course I would love to return here again, and I also feel like visiting “Izu Kawazu-hama Isoaruki no Yuyado Shiogumo” and “Omuro no Mori Gyokusui.”
