Although it was hot outside in summer, the Hotel Room felt fresh and comfortable. With a semi-open-air Onsen bath, we relaxed and toasted as a couple while looking out at the deep-blue sea with a cold canned beer in hand—it made us feel truly happy. We enjoyed the Onsen many times until around 10:30 a.m. the next morning. Since we are both over 60, we were able to stay at a discounted rate. For dinner, we went to the neighboring seafood market “Mushigamaya,” which is also highly recommended. The Hotel breakfast can be delivered to your Room; it was delicious and my wife was very pleased. We would like to stay again.

The staff were kind and attentive. The Room was spacious and comfortable. I wished the bath could have been available one hour earlier in the morning, but I was able to use it at night at a relaxed pace, and I slept very well. Thank you.

We stayed for one night with breakfast and dinner included. We originally planned to stay with No Meals Included, but after reading the Reviews we changed to the two-meal plan. Just as the Reviews said, the crab, Korean dishes, and breakfast were all amazing. The portions were more than generous, everything was delicious, and we were very satisfied. The owner told us what time the sun would set, and we were able to watch it from a spot just a short walk from the Hotel. The washing area in the bath was tatami-matted, which felt surprisingly comfortable. The Hotel itself may be a bit old-fashioned, but our Room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Music that people in their 40s and 50s likely listened to when they were younger was playing throughout the building, which I personally really enjoyed as well. As mentioned in other Reviews, the owner was very friendly and easygoing, so we had a great time. Using points let us stay at a great price—excellent value for money. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again with breakfast and dinner included when visiting Yamagata.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, but it rained all three days, so we ended up not going to Murodo-daira. However, the hotel was so comfortable that it made up for not being able to climb Mt. Oyama. The service from the staff at both the front desk and the restaurant was truly impressive. In particular, the front desk staff responded accurately even to our difficult requests. The meals were made with ingredients from Toyama, and we were very satisfied. However, the grilled salmon at breakfast took quite a while to cook through, so I think it would be better served already fully grilled. We were also very satisfied with the all-you-can-drink alcohol and soft drinks at dinner. This is a hotel I highly recommend for anyone traveling from Tateyama to the Alpine Route. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We may come again next year.

This was my first stay, and I was able to spend such a fulfilling time that it hardly felt like just one night and two days. From the warm welcome upon arrival, everything was handled with great care, and the staff’s heartfelt hospitality left a strong impression. Throughout my stay, they paid attention to even the smallest details, and their service remained wonderful all the way through to the farewell at departure. Rather than feeling formal or routine, it truly felt like they valued each guest as an individual. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and best of all was the open-air bath attached to it. The luxury of being able to soak in the Onsen slowly whenever I wanted was exceptional—it felt so good that I wanted to go in again and again. Enjoying the open-air bath while taking in the surrounding garden and nature helped me forget everyday fatigue. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I could enjoy not only the flavors but also the presentation and sense of seasonality. The meal itself became one of the highlights of my trip—it was that satisfying. The overall atmosphere of this Ryokan is also wonderful. It is quiet and relaxing, and simply being inside made me feel naturally at ease. Everything is well maintained down to the smallest details, making it a perfect space for enjoying an escape from everyday life. Although it was a short stay of one night and two days, by checkout I felt surprisingly refreshed both physically and mentally—I was able to truly recover from my fatigue. This is a Ryokan where you can honestly think, “I want to stay here again.” If you are looking for Accommodation in Hakone, I highly recommend staying here at least once.

A two-day stay that felt like stepping into another world. Each room was beautifully furnished, with thoughtful touches that anticipated every need. The birds and insects singing in the garden, the soothing sound of water in the open-air bath, and above all, the chef’s warm hospitality and exceptional cuisine were truly outstanding. This is a wonderful auberge I would absolutely love to return to—and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.

Last year, my 101-year-old mother-in-law passed away, and I invited my elder sister and niece, who have been feeling a bit lonely since then, to stay here. We celebrated my sister's birthday during dinner with a toast, and the staff surprised us with a Happy Birthday song and cake. Seeing my sister's happy smile made me feel so glad I chose this Hotel. Although we couldn't see the sunset this time due to rain (unlike last time), we will definitely come back again!

This was a wonderful Accommodation where we could enjoy meals, a campfire, a sauna, and an open-air bath with the family—and also spend quiet, unhurried time alone when we wanted. Being able to experience something out of the ordinary in nature was truly the best. I’d been worn down by constant busyness, but here I could simply take things slowly, and both my body and mind felt deeply refreshed. The space is very spacious, which was great because even with a large family, everyone could relax comfortably in their own way. The meals were also genuinely delicious, letting the quality of the ingredients shine through. The Facility, dining, and hospitality—everything made for a thoroughly satisfying stay. Unfortunately it rained during our stay, but the atmosphere and design were outstanding and blended beautifully with the surrounding natural environment, so we still enjoyed ourselves even in the rain. Next time, I’d love to visit on a sunny day as well.

Registering as a member was great because it extended checkout to 12:00.

I realized I had an extra day off during my trip and made a same-day reservation. Even though it was last-minute, you kindly accommodated me. I had long wanted to stay here after seeing the Auberge Association website, and I’m truly glad I did. I’ve visited many different types of auberges, but the food here was beyond what can be described as simply “delicious”—I was extremely satisfied. The homemade ham and sausages were so good they practically melted in my mouth. The room was calm and comfortable, and I was able to rest well. Next time, I’d like to try the open-air bath as well. I was completely satisfied—thank you very much.

Pros: Friendly service. Great location—close to Yubatake and with parking available. Clean and well maintained. I used the bath at night and in the morning, and had it all to myself both times. The bread was delicious. Cons: The TV screen is small, so keep that in mind if you plan to watch TV. You can hear footsteps in the hallway. There were no slippers (they might be available), which wasn’t a big issue but felt a bit unusual.

I could tell there were thoughtful touches throughout, with comfort and convenience well considered. What impressed me most was the breakfast—especially the spice curry and croissants. They were delicious. The second best part was the smiles of the front desk team and staff. I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed here solo for the Jomon Sugi trek. As soon as I entered the property, the staff came out to greet me at the entrance, and the front desk check-in was explained so carefully that I almost felt bad for how much hospitality they showed me!! It was a single room, but it had plenty of windows with a view of the hotel garden, and I was able to relax and take my time in a calm space. I saw some comments saying the facilities are old, but everything was spotless and well maintained, so I didn’t mind at all—it was very comfortable!! For trekking days, they kindly changed breakfast into a bento for both breakfast and lunch, which saved me from having to prepare anything—this really helped. The restaurant staff at both dinner and breakfast were also extremely polite and welcoming. Most of all, they seated solo guests in a spot where you can look over the whole dining room and relax—not surrounded by groups—so I felt they were being very considerate. The food was delicious, with local specialties such as deep-fried flying fish, pork shabu-shabu, and sashimi! On my trekking day especially, there were lots of protein-rich dishes like sashimi, hot pot, grilled chicken, and beef steak—perfect for my tired body. They also have a good selection of alcohol available (for an additional charge), and you can even order drinks sold in the shop. What I really appreciated during my stay was that they provided cold barley tea in my room—it was amazing! They also filled the kettle with water so I could use it for tea or coffee from the shop. Another small but happy surprise: the shop sells Yakushima-style ice cream flavors. Eating one in my room after spending time in the large public bath was perfect. It was my first time on Yakushima, but I truly felt what makes it special—and thanks to this comfortable stay at the hotel as well, I immediately started planning another trip back! When I return to Yakushima again, I would definitely like to stay at Yakushima Green Hotel again.

Our family of five (four adults and our third son, 1 year and 9 months old) stayed here. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, but the weather on the day was terrible—so bad we were caught in a sudden torrential downpour. The heavy rain made visibility poor on the way to the Facility, and it was still pouring at check-in, but thanks to the staff’s kind and careful guidance, we were able to get into our dome tent safely. Unfortunately, the bonfire event planned at the center was canceled, but that couldn’t be helped given the weather. Even so, the Facility offered a rainy-day-only service of lending a projector free of charge (normally 1,000 yen). Thanks to that thoughtful gesture, our kids never got bored and we were able to enjoy glamping in a way that only a rainy day can offer. By the time we headed to the large public bathhouse, the rain had stopped for a while and there were few other guests. The men’s bath (with our kids) and women’s bath (for my wife) each felt like private use. We could relax without worrying about anyone else—and for our 1-year-9-month-old son it was his very first large public bath. Seeing him enjoy it without being scared put smiles on all of our faces. Even at night the weather remained unsettled—rain on and off with occasional thunder—but we couldn’t give up on seeing the stars. After putting our youngest to sleep, we took it easy with coffee. When I stepped outside around 3:00 a.m., all the clouds had cleared away, revealing an unbelievably beautiful sky full of stars. Countless stars shone brightly—far more than you could ever see in town—and I felt staying up late was truly worth it. On another note, perhaps because of the heavy rain, a few millipedes found their way into our house tent area and our older two boys made quite a fuss in the middle of night (laughs). We ended up slightly sleep-deprived, but now it has become one more funny family story—something that comes with being surrounded by nature. In the morning we woke up to birdsong. The fresh air made for an incredibly pleasant start to day—a luxurious moment you can’t experience in everyday life. The previous day’s bonfire had been canceled as an event, but they kindly arranged for each house area to enjoy one until 8:30 a.m. next morning instead. Watching fire while drinking coffee and reading was exactly what I’d hoped for. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast together as family on deck in front of house area; meals eaten in nature are something special every time—and everything was delicious. Even after returning home,we kept talking about how much we'd love come back again."

Thank you very much, Fuchinobo. This trip was truly enjoyable. We were delighted to have the opportunity to stay at a temple Accommodation at Zenkoji and enjoy a variety of experiences. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious shojin-ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine). This was all thanks to everyone at Fuchinobo, and we are sincerely grateful.

Both dinner and breakfast were excellent! Dinner was a set course meal, and everything tasted amazing. We were completely full. It was a refined, adult-style menu, but my daughter also found it delicious and ate everything. It was truly wonderful.

It was very comfortable. The front desk and restaurant staff were cheerful, courteous, and efficient, and the Room and restaurant were clean with excellent air conditioning—an outstanding Hotel in every way. The next morning’s breakfast buffet menu was posted in the lobby, which made me look forward to it from the night before. The signature jingisukan (grilled lamb), curry, and fried fish cake with corn were all delicious. If I have the chance to visit again, I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed one night to explore Midagahara. Compared with the Murodo area, there were fewer people, and it was a very calm Hotel. I could enjoy walking around at my own pace, which was great. I also enjoyed the Hotel’s guided walks and stargazing. The meals were delicious, and the one-hour free-flow drinks option was a great value. I would love to visit again.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. We travel around Japan every year and usually stay at Accommodations in a similar price range. When we actually arrive, the place is sometimes a little smaller than the photos, and it’s rare for it to exceed expectations—but this one did. The meals were not unnecessarily large and were absolutely delicious. My husband is very picky (he doesn’t really like meat or fish), so he usually gives me what he can’t eat, but this was the first time he finished everything himself. He really loved it and kept saying it was the best we’ve ever had. The fried dishes—maybe fries?—were unbelievably crispy; I’ve never had anything like that before. We were also soothed by the owner, his wife, and all the staff, as well as the Room, bath, decor, and scenery. We would love to come again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

The Facility was very clean and comfortable, and it felt like coming back to the countryside. The bath was private, and having meals served in our Room was wonderful. The futon was fluffy, and I slept soundly. The hostess had a calm, relaxed manner that put me at ease, and the hospitality was outstanding. Thank you very much.
