At last, I made it to Hacienda Vison—somewhere I’d been wanting to visit for ages. As an interior lover, it had been on my list forever, but I never quite got around to it. This small Hotel has only six Rooms and is the first project designed under the direction of The Conran Shop in London, UK. I’ve always loved its mid-century feel and the way wood and natural materials are paired with black metal accents. “I want to see it.” With that feeling alone, one day I booked on impulse online. I took the first Shinkansen of the day to Taki Town in Mie Prefecture. The moment I stepped into the Room, “I want to live here.” That was all I could say. (Laughs) High ceilings, a kitchen included—everything from the furniture and lighting to the textures was exactly my taste. It felt like a space created by gathering every single thing I love into one Room. The minibar had two bottles of Acqua Panna, 100% Mie-grown satsuma mandarin juice (additive-free), Isekadoya Pale Ale, and more—all available complimentary. (Of course it’s probably included in the stay, but I can’t resist seeing “Help yourself.” (Laughs)) Even though it’s a new Hotel that opened in August 2024, they intentionally chose traditional keys instead of auto-locks. Carrying a key with a brass Room number while strolling around VISON felt like part of the Hotel’s world—such a lovely touch. Surrounded by mountains, you catch soft hints of earth and wood in the air. It reminded me of my grandmother’s house—and Hokuto City—and before I knew it, I took a deep breath. Apparently just seeing mountains and greenery instantly puts me in a better mood. (Laughs) After working up a sweat, it was time for a bath. Soaking while looking out at the garden greenery was incredibly relaxing, and the shampoo and body wash were from Bamford in England. I also loved their philosophy: “What you put on your skin is as important as what you eat.” Even down to the logo on the slippers—every detail was thoughtfully done. You can also step out into a small private garden from your Room; it felt like such an inviting space that I found myself thinking, “I want to have breakfast here tomorrow morning.” My work-filled mind during weekdays slowly quieted down just by gazing at the mountains, zoning out for a while, and taking baths. It reminded me that travel isn’t only about scenery or food—it’s about what kind of time you get to spend there. Next time, I’d love to stay in another Room too. It truly was a wonderful Hotel.

It was disappointing that the floor hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly this time; there were bits of lint and other debris. The bed making also felt a little sloppy. Other than that, I was satisfied as usual. I will use your service again.

I stayed here during a trip. With limited Hotel options in Yonago, I chose this one mainly for its location, and it turned out to be far better than I expected! The Room and unit bath are a bit dated, but everything is clean and comfortable. Above all, the breakfast exceeded my expectations in both variety and taste—I was very satisfied. Great value for money, and highly recommended for a stay in Yonago.

This was the best of the three Hotels I stayed at during my 3-night, 4-day trip to Hakodate. There was a drink bar, the Room was clean, and they kindly stored my luggage before check-in. There are nearby options like Seicomart and McDonald’s, and the tram stop is close; I also think Hakodate Station is within walking distance. I would like to stay here again.

The check-in staff greeted me with a pleasant, genuine smile, and their service made it clear that the company’s hospitality training is excellent. The Room key is a type where you enter using a 6-digit PIN, so once you remember it, it’s convenient when going to the bath since you don’t need to carry anything except a towel, and it also feels secure from a safety standpoint. The Room was small for one person and was mostly taken up by the bed, so doing desk work would be a bit difficult, but if you’re just there to sleep, it was spacious enough. However, I have lower back pain and needed a firmer mattress; my back hurt slightly in the morning, so unfortunately it didn’t suit me. You can choose your preferred pillow next to reception, but I don’t usually use one so I didn’t take advantage of this. I love Onsen and used it three times during my one-night stay; by the second time I could feel benefits strong enough to moisturize my dry skin, so I was satisfied. I would have liked a few more hot dishes at the breakfast buffet. There were several kinds of bread available. The tomato dressing for the salad was delicious. There weren’t many side dishes overall, but considering it as breakfast, I also felt it was sufficient. Overall, with good service, cleanliness, an Onsen on site, and breakfast buffet included at this price range, I think this is a Hotel I can confidently recommend. One thing to note is that there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance from the Hotel for dinner, so you’ll likely want to drive somewhere or buy food in advance for peace of mind. Also, alcohol isn’t sold at the Hotel; if you plan to drink in your Room, I recommend purchasing drinks beforehand.

I made a Reservation at this Accommodation mainly for a Room with an open-air bath. In reality, the Room was spacious, and the bathtub in the open-air bath was larger than expected, so I was very satisfied. Meals were buffet-style with a wide variety of options. At many buffets, the sashimi is not as fresh as it could be, but here it was fresh and delicious. At this price for what you get, I have no complaints. I would like to stay again.

With a comfortable bed and no bothersome noise, I slept soundly until morning. It’s not new, but it’s a very good Hotel at a reasonable price. The only downside was that the entrance light is motion-sensor activated and turns off quickly, leaving half the Room dark and making it inconvenient to organize my luggage. Next time, I’d like to choose the highly rated Plan with breakfast included.

I stayed here for the first time in several years and was warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. I didn’t have time for dinner, but breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The supporting touches—like soy sauce jelly and mountain wasabi—were excellent and really brought out the flavors of the ingredients. The Onsen had a pleasant sulfur scent and multiple baths at different temperatures, and I warmed up thoroughly. I’ll be back again later this month.

The staff were very kind. I really appreciated that they brought the luggage I left before check-in to my Room, and that they also stored my luggage until the evening after check-out. I would like to stay here again.

Everything was very good, except that there was no explanation about the amenities at the front desk, so I only realized in my Room that there was no soap, which was a bit inconvenient. All of the breakfast bread was delicious! There is a convenience store inside the Hotel, which is very convenient.

I traveled from Saitama to Shizuoka for work and stayed one night at Kuretake Inn Gotemba Inter for the first time. It was a shame I didn’t get to use the Onsen. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes and was delicious. I will stay again. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay here. The front desk staff were very kind and attentive, and the Room was spacious and clean, making it very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet were also larger than at other Hotels. Since it is located in the city center, it is convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. I would like to stay here again next time.

The property felt very clean, and the Room was also spotless. The seafood izakaya downstairs is popular, and we couldn’t get in without a Reservation.

Whenever we visited Oku-Nikko and Yumoto, we would stop by Senjogahara or the ranch, and this Accommodation had always caught our eye. After turning 60, my spouse and I stayed here for the first time. The Onsen and the breakfast and dinner were wonderful, and it was a relaxing summer holiday to see many couples around our age dining in the restaurant. After ringing a bear bell and walking around Senjogahara for over an hour, we headed to Nikko Toshogu Shrine!

Everything about the Room, cuisine, Onsen, and ocean-view location is outstanding. The price is unbelievably low. I would definitely like to stay again!

I stayed for one night on Monday, June 22. It was an 8-tatami Japanese-style Room, and it felt more spacious and open than I expected—spotless and very clean. Sitting in the Room’s chair, slowly enjoying local sake while looking out at the scenery—especially watching the trees sway in the wind and birds in flight—was an indescribable luxury. The complimentary tantanmen service at night was also excellent. It was delicious, and I felt truly blissful. The large public bath was also clean and well maintained, and I could relax at ease. Breakfast offered a wide variety of local dishes as well as crab; I chose small portions of different items and enjoyed them slowly. The dining area had a very high ceiling that made it feel open, with bright colors that put me in a happy mood from the morning. On top of that, the service (especially from international staff) was outstanding, which made my sightseeing in Fukui City afterward even more enjoyable. I’m truly glad I stayed at this Hotel. I would love to stay again next time and enjoy another wonderful escape from everyday life.

This was my first stay here. Because it is a dog-only Hotel, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The building is equipped with air conditioning almost everywhere, so it was pleasant even on hot days. Everything was excellent—the meals (including dog food), the Onsen, the indoor dog run, the Room, and the service.

This was our second stay, following last year. First of all, this is the best Hotel in every way. The breakfast buffet offers gentle, comforting dishes and is delicious. I’ve traveled to Okinawa 14 times, and Ifu’s BBQ is outstanding—No. 1. The bath was great, and above all, the view from the Room and the sunrise were also No. 1. I was able to recharge with wonderful energy every morning. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, it’s very convenient, and there’s a convenience store close by—also excellent. And this time, because a typhoon was approaching, we changed our schedule, and you kindly accommodated changes to the BBQ date as well; I truly appreciated your considerate support in many ways. As last year, the staff were pleasant and wonderful. It’s a Hotel that makes me want to come back twice or three times next year… For now, we’re planning to visit next June, so we look forward to seeing you then. It became the best Kumejima trip.

A relaxing accommodation located at the foot of Mt. Sanbe with a fantastic location. The price is reasonable, offering great satisfaction. The meals are diverse and exceptionally delicious. If given the chance, I would love to stay at this accommodation again. Thank you!

Like many Hotels, having only two elevators can feel inconvenient during busy times. Even if you want to take the stairs for health reasons, the doors are closed, so it seems they are not recommended and you end up spending time looking for them. Breakfast was delicious. The salad was placed at the very back, after the rice and drinks; if possible, I would prefer it to be at the beginning or at the end of the line, since I plan my portions. Overall, I had a comfortable stay with no major issues.
