The Room interior and hospitality were outstanding. The cuisine was especially excellent, with a course featuring local vegetables, rice, and meat. It made for a truly wonderful anniversary.

This is a truly wonderful Accommodation. It is located in a valley beyond a ridge from Kurokawa Onsen, reached by a narrow road that feels like a forest track. Crossing the ridge makes you feel as if you are entering a different world from Kurokawa. It is quiet— the small lobby, the corridors, the dining area, and even the baths. The Room is beautifully set, with furnishings and artwork on the walls that enhance the atmosphere. For meals, there are separate head chefs for Japanese and Western cuisine. Using local ingredients, everything was carefully seasoned and served in just the right portions. There is a café lounge where you can step out onto an outdoor terrace and enjoy coffee while taking in dew-covered greenery in the morning. With calm, attentive service as well, we enjoyed an atmosphere quite different from Kurokawa Onsen.

I stayed on a windy day. Although I lit the fire in the outdoor fire pit, sparks were flying everywhere due to the wind, so I quickly put it out. The strong wind made it feel very cold, and I couldn't stay outside for long to tend to the fire, which was a bit disappointing. For the barbecue grill, we only grilled bread and sausages for breakfast. (When there was no sunlight, even this grilling task felt too cold as standing outside at night with the wind hitting my body was unbearable.) The sauna had already been preheated upon our arrival, so we could relax and use it right away—thank you! After enjoying the sauna, we also used the bath. The spacious bathroom and bathtub were very comfortable. The provided warm jacket-like garment kept us cozy—it was great! Additionally, we loved the indoor fireplace here. It’s surrounded by bricks with a wide opening. Watching the flames leisurely turned out to be more enjoyable than expected; in fact, it satisfied us more than using an outdoor fire pit. Due to our misunderstanding during research beforehand, we thought check-in would be contactless and arrived late without realizing that staff were waiting at the entrance for us—we panicked upon arrival when we realized this mistake. We sincerely apologize for that incident. In summer stays without fireplaces or stoves available elsewhere before this trip where accommodations were entirely contactless led us astray into assuming similar arrangements here too—but facilities like stoves/fireplaces/saunas often require initial face-to-face explanations regarding safety measures which indeed proved helpful during our first visit here! While subsequent visits might allow non-contact check-ins if feasible—it’s understandable either way depending on preferences. Regarding other aspects: unfortunately one ceiling-mounted BOSE speaker wasn’t functional despite inquiries via chat support; however alternative Bluetooth speakers indoors sufficed instead though slightly disappointing initially especially since someone accompanying me wanted testing them specifically but overall manageable workaround existed nonetheless thankfully! Lastly nearby surroundings exploration revealed missed opportunity discovering sausage vending machine shop selling unique spiral-shaped pork products located mere moments away driving distance-wise regrettably overlooked amidst rushed schedule entering accommodation earlier yet noted firmly future revisit plans ensuring purchase next time around certainly happening surely anticipated eagerly We stayed with two adults and two dogs. On the way there, our navigation system guided us on a detour and we arrived via a very narrow road, but after the staff explained the route, we found that if you exit onto the road right in front, you’re immediately on a main road and it’s very close to the Awaji Interchange—an excellent location. Our dogs had a great time running around both in the shared dog run Room and in the run. The complimentary drinks at the shared run were much appreciated. For dinner at Genpei, the anago (conger eel) hot pot and sashimi were outstanding, with generous portions—absolutely delicious (lol). In summer, most vacation rentals have lots of insects, but there were very few this time, which was great. Proper insect control measures are clearly in place. The staff were also wonderful and kindly helped us throughout—thank you very much. We’ll definitely come back again.

Despite changing the number of guests just one day before, they kindly called back and responded promptly. The private bath and the meals were excellent; the hot pot broth was so delicious that we drank it all and ended up completely full. The handmade soba had a great bite, and the freshly cooked rice was glossy and so good that we had seconds even though we were already full. The bath water had natural mineral deposits, leaving our skin smooth and soothing both body and mind from everyday fatigue. Thank you very much.

Now that our family schedules finally lined up, we stayed at Yunishikawa Honkan again. The open-air bath is the perfect temperature for us, and this wonderful natural hot spring keeps our bodies warm until the next morning when we soak slowly and relax. We also always look forward to the Japanese meals, which are consistently delicious. The many dishes and the local sake tasting are excellent as well. The Onsen egg served with breakfast is outstanding, and this time too we ordered two packs to take home as a souvenir. For us as a parent and child who enjoy mountain stream fishing, this Accommodation is an important place to unwind, so even when it’s not for fishing we’d like to make time to visit again and enjoy the wonderful Onsen. This time we stayed in the Room at the very end of the 5th floor, and it was very comfortable with a toilet and air conditioning. We also enjoy hearing the owner’s stories every time—about hunting bears long ago, catching giant char, and gathering large maitake mushrooms. We are truly grateful to the proprietress emeritus, the proprietress, and all staff for their hospitality. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you in advance when we do.

This was a truly wonderful place to stay, and it made our trip to Okinawa even more special. The room was very clean and beautifully maintained down to the smallest details, so we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, and we were able to fully recover from our travel fatigue. Our children also had a great time in the room, and as a family we kept saying, “We’re so glad we stayed here!” The nearby beach was absolutely beautiful, and we were able to enjoy stunning Okinawa scenery. At night, we were amazed by the star-filled sky stretching across the horizon. Being able to gaze at a night sky like that—something you rarely see in the city—became another precious family memory. From the cleanliness and comfort to the facilities and warm hospitality, everything was delightful. This is a place where you can truly feel glad you chose to stay. Our kids loved it too, so we would definitely like to stay here again when we visit Okinawa. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our three-night stay. It was almost our first time visiting Shodoshima, so we truly appreciated the owner suggesting a sightseeing list in advance—it was wonderful. We were also very grateful that you kindly agreed to provide a Shuttle Service, which helped us a lot. For dinner on three evenings, you arranged Japanese cuisine, Italian food, and sushi, and we enjoyed every single meal!! We also had such a great time chatting with the chefs. Our favorite part each morning was the eggs laid by the chickens. On the third day, when we found an egg and picked it up, it was still warm and made us feel so happy. The chickens were very friendly and adorable; even after returning from sightseeing each day, we would say “We’re home!” and go check on them. We also loved the view of Mt. Goishiyama from the second floor. Going up and down the stairs was another fun part for us since we usually live in a barrier-free apartment building. Lastly, we were deeply moved by the owner’s personality and heartfelt hospitality. We truly feel there is a kind of hospitality that can only be experienced at this type of private rental Accommodation. My husband and I sincerely look forward to visiting again next time!!

We originally planned to stay near Nikko Station, but we made a Reservation after seeing the great Reviews. The Facility is certainly old, but there is also a private bath, so we were able to relax. Above all, the food was absolutely delicious! Dinner was French cuisine with both fish and meat, and breakfast was a generous spread including fluffy omelets and juicy sausages. My family who traveled with me was very satisfied as well. Thank you very much.

The moment I stepped into the fourth-floor Room, I was moved by the view spread out before me: the sea, lush greenery, and two large bridges—like a beautiful painting. The meals were outstanding too! Super-fresh sashimi, squid sashimi, squid tempura, grilled squid with salt, squid shumai, and more—everything was truly delicious. The cleaning was thorough, and both the Room and the other restrooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and cheerful as well—it was a truly wonderful Hotel.

As soon as we arrived at the Hotel and tried to take photos at the entrance, a staff member kindly took great pictures for us with the scenery in the background. While waiting at the front desk, there were Halloween decorations and costumes, and they happily let us dress up and took photos for us. However, there weren’t many options for the welcome drinks, so I wish there had been a few more choices. The Room was also clean. Dinner offered a wide variety of local and seasonal dishes, all delicious, and we were able to enjoy plenty. The fresh tuna and sea bream sashimi were especially fresh; the sushi rice was tasty, the toppings were generous, and even the chawanmushi was served piping hot and felt truly authentic. There was also a great selection of desserts and they were delicious, but I was too full to try many of them—next time I’d like to make sure I don’t miss out. Above all, when the food is this good, it makes you want to come back again.

This was our first return visit since our son, now 19, stayed here when he was 2. The hospitality and attentive management were just as outstanding as ever. New thoughtful services have been added since then, such as the option to switch breakfast to lunch and early check-out, and our whole family of four—including our 12-year-old daughter—enjoyed every moment. The cleanliness around the pool and the beauty of the sea are clearly thanks to everyone’s daily care. It is truly a wonderful Hotel.

The Okinawa Fair and the tuna carving show were amazing! This was our second visit during summer vacation, and it was so delicious that we’d love for you to hold it again next year. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable, and no matter how many times we visit in a year, we never get tired of it. The warm smiles and attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff are so comforting and relaxing that every time we come, we find ourselves wanting to return again soon. We’ll be back before the end of the year—thank you very much.

The staff were very polite and pleasant. On the day of departure, I was unsure whether to put my luggage in a station coin locker or have the hotel hold it, and I hadn’t said anything, but the front desk kindly asked, “Would you like us to store your luggage after check-out?” so I left my bags with the hotel. When I returned to the hotel, I ordered the Nagasaki Café Set in the lounge. It included small portions of local specialties—castella sponge cake and milkshake—so it wasn’t too heavy and was just the right amount for me. The atmosphere was calm as well, and I could relax. The room was clean, with separate bath, sink area, and toilet, and the bed was very comfortable—I ended up sleeping past my planned time. From the window, I could see the “Kamome” Shinkansen. Since I was tired from walking around sightseeing, having a hot bath facility was a nice bonus. However, there were only four washing stations; it would be better to have at least around seven. Also, it closes early (10:00 PM), so it would be great if it were available until around 11:00 PM.

We had a wonderful stay. Although the building is a bit old, it was clean and comfortable. The large public bath was not crowded, and it was kept very clean with frequent cleaning. It was also great to have a ReFa shower head installed. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the grilled beef at dinner was surprisingly delicious.

I made a Reservation for a smoking Room, and since there are so few Rooms where smoking is allowed, it was truly helpful for smokers. The bathroom and toilet were separate, and the bed was large. Because of that, the Room felt a bit small, but it was still comfortable enough with no issues. If I had to ask for one thing, it would be great if you offered rental hair irons. It’s a Hotel I definitely want to stay at again when I visit Nara.

This was my first stay. The front desk guidance was clear and very kind—my first impression was excellent. The dinner included in the Plan was plentiful and delicious. The only disappointment was that my Room was on the side without a view. I’ve already made another Reservation for the near future, and I hope to have a great view next time.

It was the best trip. This was a wonderful Ryokan in every respect—Japan’s oldest bath, the cuisine, the service, and the Onsen. I stayed at Kashotei with in-room dining, and every dish of the carefully prepared kaiseki meal was outstanding. The staff were perfect—always smiling and considerate—and the tour was also educational, helping me learn about the hot-spring cure area and the history of the Accommodation. After enjoying the open-air bath, family bath, and Japan’s oldest bath, my skin and hair felt silky smooth. The lounge is great too. Please do visit.

I stayed here during my Biwaichi trip. You can bring your bicycle into the room, and while you are in the room, you can also charge your e-bike battery. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant meals were also delicious. The bath was comfortable as well. I’d love to stay again for another Biwaichi ride or on my next trip!

The location near Nara Station was very convenient. The Room was spacious and clean. The late-night soba was delicious. As for the Onsen, it would have been perfect if the changing area were a bit larger. I really liked being able to take off my shoes at the entrance, step onto the tatami, and go straight to my Room. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I would like to stay here again when visiting Nara.
