It was a No Meals Included Plan. I checked in after 8:00 PM and left the Hotel by 7:30 AM. Since it was a no-meals Plan and I didn’t need to do any shopping, there wasn’t much that stood out… but the service from the two male front desk staff members was outstanding. They were polite yet approachable, and they spoke at a pace that matched the guest—truly wonderful hospitality. The Hotel wasn’t new, but I had a very comfortable stay.

It was my first time properly staying in Chitose (coming from Kyoto) for an event at the Cultural Center. First of all, the location is excellent. The Cultural Center is practically on the same grounds. A huge AEON mall is right next door. JR Chitose Station is across the street. My cousin I met up with stayed at a hotel nearby, and the izakaya I booked was also close by. In vast Hokkaido, this area was perfectly walkable. I arrived at night, so I took a taxi to check in. It cost about 3,000 yen, and I briefly thought, “Should I have rented a car?” But among the business hotels around the station, this one stood out with a distinctly upscale feel. The building is wide—and so was my room. From the glass-walled corner area I had a panoramic view of central Chitose, and any doubts disappeared instantly. The izakaya (something like “Direct Delivery ___ Seafood”) was a total miss, but I came back and slept like a log wrapped in comfortable sheets. And then—the breakfast buffet was outstanding! Honestly, it’s something that even that famous top-class morning buffet at “Shiki” in Osaka Umeda could learn from. After relaxing properly, I checked out and left my luggage in storage. I bought some sweets at AEON as gifts for the Cultural Center staff, then went back to AEON again for redemption after last night—this time picking up amazing Hokkaido ingredients (they were unbelievably delicious when we ate them right after getting home!). What really impressed me: they even have free locker-style refrigerated storage!!! We kept our food there while we enjoyed the event; then on my wife’s suggestion we took JR to the airport—600 yen for two people. Of course! We also had some time beforehand to relax in the plaza in front of the station—Chitose under clear autumn skies. With all that open space and low crowd density, we soaked up perfect sunshine and breeze. This may be an ANA Crowne Plaza review—but honestly it made me love Chitose itself even more. And yes: ANA truly feels like an excellent hotel that preserves classic Japanese first-class standards from the Showa era!

The property had a calm atmosphere, and the room was spacious, so we were able to relax and take our time! In the morning, the forest-side terrace on the first floor was open, and we could feel the breeze from the woods and enjoy a tropical vibe. Some of the signage inside was a bit small—maybe that’s part of the design. Thank you to all the staff for your courteous service.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. Check-in was from 3:00 PM, but I arrived at 1:00 PM and asked if I could use the parking lot so I could explore around Matsumoto Castle. They said it was fine, so I enjoyed a relaxed walk around the castle and the castle town. The staff were very friendly, the amenities and large public bath were well equipped, and the room had a chic, stylish design—everything was excellent! They even offered free gyudon as a late-night snack, so I didn’t need to eat out. Breakfast was buffet-style, which was great because I could choose what I liked. If anything, it would have been even better with a vegetable salad. The rice-flour bread was incredibly delicious—I ended up getting seconds. I was also surprised by how many international guests there were; I kept wondering if someone might start talking to me. The large public bath was almost completely empty, so I could relax and unwind at my own pace. The next day there was a soba festival being held on the grounds of Matsumoto Castle. Since I wanted to stop by briefly, they kindly allowed me to keep using the parking lot until 12:00 PM. I went to check out the festival and enjoy some soba tasting before leaving the hotel just before 11:00 AM. If I have another chance to visit Matsumoto again, I’d definitely like to stay here again!

The meals were all delicious, leaving us with very fond memories. It was a soft-shelled turtle course, and the price felt so reasonable that in Tokyo, accommodation would likely be charged separately. Although the building itself is old, it was well-maintained and did not bother us at all. Next time, we would like to have a multiple night stay. Thank you very much!

My daughter and her spouse, who came from afar, stayed at the accommodation. It was helpful for me as I didn’t have to prepare bedding at home, and they seemed to have enjoyed a comfortable stay using the large public bath.

This is my third stay, and it feels reassuring in a good way. The meals are great, there’s a convenience store nearby, and the staff are pleasant—I’m very satisfied. I rated the large public bath as 3 only because I didn’t use it. Also, this is just personal preference, but I would prefer a slightly higher and firmer pillow, so I rated that as 4.

Thank you for a very comfortable stay. I couldn’t stay for long, but the location was extremely convenient and made getting around easy. I’d love to stay here again when I’m in Osaka.

Whenever I visit Kochi, I always stay here. The Room was clean and well kept, and breakfast was a Japanese set prepared individually; it was tasty and the portion size was just right. One small concern was that the bathtub plug chain was wrapped tightly around the faucet, which made it difficult to remove. I understand this may be unavoidable for a single Room, but I would be happier with a TV with a larger screen. I will stay here again.

Everything was delicious, including the sashimi at dinner and the simmered fish head. The portions were generous, and I couldn’t finish the kashiwa rice onigiri, so I took it back to my Room and enjoyed it later. The Room was clean, and I was able to relax in the bath as well. After check-out, we walked around to see the summer satoyama scenery, the Great Buddha Hall, and stone Buddhas, which was very soothing. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

The parking lot is spacious, and the front desk staff were very helpful. With the welcome bar and welcome food, it honestly felt like, “Is this price really okay?” Breakfast was a Japanese and Western buffet with a great selection—I ate too much. I immediately messaged about a dozen friends on LINE telling them to go. The Room was comfortable with a unit bath, and the air conditioning worked well. The only downside was that the washlet was an older model and not very easy to use.

It was excellent. There were four highlights in particular. 1. Riverside dining. Eating near the river has a wonderful atmosphere. You hear frogs and birds, and their sounds change over time. The sound of the rapids stays constant while subtly shifting. As it gets darker outside, the overall colors gradually change. Lights come on. Even the air changes—what feels bright and cheerful becomes cooler and refreshingly crisp. It’s fascinating how, compared with the start of the meal, it can feel as if you’ve moved to a completely different place. In that setting, dish after dish is served—luxurious, plentiful, and delicious. And after having some drinks and getting pleasantly tipsy, by the time it hits you the scenery around you has transformed as well, which adds even more charm to the experience. 2. Fireflies in flight. About a one-minute walk from the Accommodation, we were able to see many fireflies. The path is very dark, so you need to be careful—darker than expected. Countless fireflies were flying through the space between a bridge and the river below it. Some even came within about a meter right in front of us. We could clearly see them flying—and we saw so many of them. The swirling dance of blinking lights conveys something mysterious about life itself. 3. Private Onsen baths. There are four private Onsen baths, and every one was wonderful. I think the water quality is excellent—a slightly sulfur-scented Onsen. It’s my favorite type of water quality personally; I don’t find places like Shuzenji, Izunokuni (Izu-Nagaoka), Yugawara, or Izu-Kogen quite as good for my taste, but I really liked Yugashima’s Onsen. 4. The river view from our Room terrace. Even more than the view itself, hearing all the natural outdoor sounds—including the flow of the river—was incredibly soothing. I brought a Mozart DVD and asked staff to prepare a DVD player for me, but while listening to Yugashima’s river and nature sounds I completely forgot to watch opera at all. There wasn’t anything negative in particular.

There was a long line for breakfast, and I had to wait so long that I gave up halfway.

Good access. The Room is spacious. The bath is pleasant, and the breakfast was very delicious. I especially liked the strawberry jelly. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

I stayed in a twin Room with my daughter. The toilet in the Room had weak water flow and wouldn’t flush in one go, so we had to be careful when using it. The front desk staff were polite, and it was nice to have a large public bath, so this was disappointing.

Great value for money with smooth check-in. Check-out takes just a few seconds. Perfect for business use.

Although it is close to the station, I was not bothered by train noise. I was looking for a Hotel with a large public bath, so I stayed here. I could relax in the spacious bath, and both the showers and hair dryers were ReFa, which felt very luxurious. At the breakfast buffet, I was able to enjoy Wakayama specialties such as Nanko ume plums and shirasu, making for a wonderful stay.

We stayed as a family of five. During Golden Week, the breakfast included, Facility, and service were all excellent. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

This was my first stay here. I made a Reservation for a Room with a shared bathroom. Since it was inexpensive and included breakfast, I didn’t expect much, but when I arrived at the Hotel they upgraded me to a newly renovated Room with a private bathroom. When I entered the Room, I was surprised at how clean it was—there wasn’t even any dust. The breakfast was also very delicious. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

The front desk staff were very courteous and kindly assisted us even with an early-morning check-out. The property was quieter than we expected, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.
