Livemax Resort Kawamata Onsen

I stayed here as it had just opened in January 2026. The Room was beautifully renovated, and the large smart TV lets you watch YouTube and Netflix (account required). The digital clock also functions as a Bluetooth speaker, so you can enjoy music as well. The Onsen was excellent, with both an indoor bath and an open-air bath. Amenities were well stocked. The meals offered a great variety of seafood, including all-you-can-eat salmon roe. There were even salt-grilled trout and sweetfish. Staff regularly checked the buffet and quickly refilled items when they ran out. Breakfast also included all-you-can-eat salmon roe—you can even choose to make a seafood rice bowl in the morning. It was a wonderful Accommodation with great value for money.

We got a great deal, so we were extremely satisfied. The open-air bath was relaxing with an impressive view. There was quite a bit of moss or algae in the water, which some people might notice, but it didn’t seem harmful and didn’t bother me. All the food was delicious, and there was a wide variety of sweets—dinner (90 minutes) and breakfast (60 minutes) flew by. The staff were all polite and pleasant, and I’d love to stay again. It was also very convenient that the bus stops right in front of the Hotel for those without a car.
