Pension Oyama no Endo

To escape the midsummer heat, we looked for an Accommodation near the cool Lake Tateshina and Lake Megami and found this place. We stayed as a family of four (with junior and senior high school children) in a Room with three beds plus an extra bed, and it was spacious enough for us. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The baths are not an Onsen, but there are two private family-style baths that you can lock and use individually or as a family, so the washing area and tub never felt crowded. The next morning, we took a walk and enjoyed the refreshing cool air. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

Stayed for three days while visiting a nearby ski resort at the end of the year. This was my fourth stay since my first visit a year ago. It takes about 4-5 hours by car using the highway from home, so it’s not exactly close, and there are many other inns in the area. However, I keep coming back to this inn because of its high level of satisfaction. The warm hospitality, delicious breakfast and dinner, reasonable pricing, and 24-hour private-use bath make this inn truly charming. If I were to point out minor issues: - The TV in the Room is positioned quite high and can be slightly hard to watch. - There’s a large step when entering the bathroom in the Room (though using the shared bath solves this issue). - It would be nice if there were a TV near the shared sofa area as well.Looking forward to staying again!
