Riverside Ueda Inn

The Chikuma River view from the Room was beautiful.It was a Japanese-Western style Room, spacious and very relaxing.About a 2–3 minute walk from the Hotel, there is a convenience store and a footbath, which we enjoyed during an evening stroll.The bath temperature was not too hot and felt great.It was a bit disappointing that the open-air bath alternates between men and women by day.Since we stayed only one night, it was the women’s turn at night and the men’s turn in the morning.It seems the morning view was wonderful.All of the staff were very kind.Thank you.

We stayed on August 7, the day of the fireworks festival. Due to heavy traffic late into the night, the Hotel parking lot was not available, and guests were asked to use public transportation. However, since we were traveling with my elderly mother and small children, we drove there first, dropped off my family and luggage in front of the Hotel, then I parked at the neighboring station and returned to the Hotel by train and Shuttle Service. It wasn’t particularly inconvenient. That said, it may be difficult for elderly guests or families with small children to move around while carrying luggage.As for dining, my family really enjoyed the all-you-can-drink alcohol option at dinner and the hamburger steak featured in that day’s fair.The Onsen was also at a perfect temperature, and we could relax comfortably. Depending on the time of day, access to the bath with an open-air section alternates. The open-air bath was wonderful.Regarding viewing the fireworks: it rained during the festival, but we could watch them from our Room at the Hotel very comfortably. My elderly mother and small children seemed very satisfied as well. We would love to stay again next year.The music fireworks sponsored by this Hotel were honestly the best—thank you very much.
