    Best-value budget Hotel

    When making the Reservation, I was worried that, given the room rate and the location in Gion’s geisha district, I might not be able to sleep due to voices outside or everyday noise inside the building. However, once I checked in, it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Of course, it isn’t perfectly soundproof, but for a room rate under 5,000 yen, it’s more than sufficient. The interior has a Japanese-style design, was very clean, and felt comfortable to stay in. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, so you won’t have trouble finding food. This is a recommended Hotel for those who value cost performance.

    The Ideal Accommodation for the Gion Festival

    Every year, I stay in Kyoto during the Gion Festival (Ato Matsuri Yoiyama) and enjoy the festival. I arrived an hour earlier than scheduled, but the woman at reception checked my Room and kindly allowed me to check in early since cleaning had already been finished. During this season Kyoto is extremely hot, so I was exhausted, but the air conditioning inside the Accommodation worked very well and I felt refreshed. After leaving my luggage in the Room, I was able to take my time visiting the festival floats. The elevator also requires a Room key card, so security is excellent and I felt safe. Since I was traveling alone, the Room was more than spacious enough for just sleeping at night. The bath and toilet were separate, so I could use each comfortably. I also appreciated that all amenities were provided in the Room. All of the staff were very pleasant, which made it a wonderful memory. Thank you very much for your help.

    Blatantly profit-driven targeting inbound tourists

    I chose it because it was the cheapest option in Kyoto City—apparently a last-minute clearance of vacant rooms. The building is an old apartment that has only been superficially renovated. The front desk staff felt like inexperienced, low-quality young part-timers. In the room, dust had built up everywhere—under the air purifier, on the side of the lamp, in the air conditioner vent, at the exhaust fan opening, and on top of shelves—and there was mold along the edges around the sink area. The walls are thin, and to hide the poor view they have installed frames on the windows made to resemble shoji screens; as a result, there are no curtains to block morning sunlight. At first glance—such as at the building entrance—it looks clean. It seems designed for visitors who don’t mind small details. That’s simply a business strategy and isn’t inherently good or bad. However, for someone with what you might call “Japanese standards,” this Hotel felt somewhat uncomfortable.

    A wonderful small Hotel in Gion.

    I stayed here alone for the first time during the Gion Festival. The clean, elegant interior was very relaxing. The staff were kind and welcoming, and their friendly service made me feel at ease. The refined amenities were more than sufficient, so you can stay comfortably without bringing much. In particular, having the bath and toilet separate was very convenient and allowed me to unwind. This Hotel is such a great value that I almost felt bad paying the sale price!

    Conveniently located for sightseeing

    The Hotel entrance is narrow, yet it has a distinctly Kyoto feel. The front desk area after taking the elevator up is quite small, and when multiple guests are checking in at the same time, there is hardly any space to stand. The guest rooms are new and compact, with thoughtful touches that feel very Kyoto. Given the location, it seemed that many international guests were staying here. Aside from noise carrying from next door and the cramped front desk area, it was a convenient Hotel.

    I stayed here last year at the same price. It must be a special sale promotion—I’m looking forward to next year as well. The amenities were well stocked, the toilet and bath were separate, the location was great, and it was an excellent value.

    Wonderful

    It is located near Hanamikoji Street in Gion. I stayed for two nights, and the Room was clean and just the right size for a solo trip. Nightlife starts after 9 p.m., but although the Room was set slightly back from the street, I did not notice any noise at all. The service was also excellent.

    It was a hectic trip, but I had a relaxing and heartwarming stay!

    I decided to stay at this accommodation due to having early morning plans for two consecutive days in Kyoto. Located in the bustling Gion area, it was surprisingly quiet, and I loved the elegant Kyoto-style charm of the room. The separate bath and toilet were a blessing during the cold season, allowing me to relax in the bathtub. It would have been nice if there was a washbasin. The thoughtful service from the front desk staff was delightful, and I felt lucky to stay here at such a reasonable price. I would love to stay again if given the chance!

    I chose this place b...

    I chose this place because I liked that the bathroom and toilet are separate. Both were clean, and the location is very convenient if you're just looking for a place to sleep after enjoying Gion. However, there is no desk at all, so it was inconvenient not having a place to put things when eating or drinking. You either have to stand or eat on the bed.

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located in Gion and affordable. However, unfortunately, there were several red stains on the sheets. Did no one in charge of cleaning, laundry, bed-making, or inspection notice this?

    In the heart of Gion Hanamikoji's bustling district

    I was surprised to find a Hotel here, even though I had passed by this area countless times. The location is extremely convenient! This time, I stayed alone in a double Room, and it was more spacious than I expected. The bathroom and toilet were separate, and there was even a chair provided in the bath area, which was great. I have already made a Reservation for next month. Looking forward to staying again!

    Convenient and comfo...

    Convenient and comfortable accommodation in the heart of Gion at a great value. The limited number of rooms creates a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The room is compactly designed, with separate toilet and bathroom facilities for added comfort. The bath with a washing area is also a delightful feature. I would love to stay here again next time.     Due to being in the center of the bustling district, it can be noisy at night, making it difficult to sleep.

    I chose to use this based on the high Review ratings, but I don't think I will use it again. I knew it was located in the downtown area, but I didn't expect the outside noise to be this loud. The music from nearby stores and vehicle traffic can be heard inside the Room. There is no soundproofing at all. It was the first time I stayed at a Hotel with earplugs and an eye mask provided, and now I understand why. The Room was clean, but it's disappointing.

    It was not a very large Hotel, but it was a clean Hotel. The location was also good in Gion. It was helpful that they could keep our luggage even after the stay.
