Hotel Resol Machida

Both the front desk service and the pleasantly clean guest room were very comfortable. From now on, this will be my only choice when staying in Machida!

I used this Hotel for a relaxing staycation. It’s an easy drive from Yokohama, which makes it appealing for a quick escape from everyday life.I arrived around noon and parked in the lot next to the Hotel entrance. I left my luggage at the front desk and headed out for lunch, and the male staff member at reception kindly gave me very detailed directions to the restaurant, which left a great impression.When I returned after lunch, they were able to check me in even though it was still before 3:00 p.m. I was also surprised to hear that my suitcase had already been taken up to my Room. The female staff member who assisted me had such a warm smile, and I felt comfortable right from the moment I arrived.The Room isn’t large, but it’s well laid out and easy to use. Using a coin I received at the front desk, I tried the capsule toy machine by the elevators and got a Rilakkuma marshmallow—it genuinely made me smile.Just as mentioned in Reviews, the amenities were from a brand that tends to divide opinions, but there are amenity stations not only on the first floor but also by the elevators on each guest floor, which is convenient. Having cleansing oil available was especially helpful.The bathroom is an old-style deep unit bath—not one where you can fully stretch out. However, there was no odor or noise at all (which I had worried about based on Reviews); I only heard minor everyday sounds from neighboring rooms.What stood out most was breakfast. The variety was so generous that it made me wonder if it was really included at this Accommodation Fee—and everything tasted great. The combination of rye bread with sweet red bean paste and butter was outstanding; I’d love to have it again. Kudos to whoever came up with offering anko.The Japanese side dishes—such as green beans with sesame dressing, taro, rolled omelet, croquettes, kinpira burdock root, and light pickles—were all carefully seasoned and very satisfying. I also loved being able to add my own toppings to miso soup; since I’m a big fan of fried tofu and green onions, it made my morning.This isn’t a Hotel you choose for luxury, but thanks to excellent staff service and an outstanding breakfast experience, it was a very pleasant stay overall.
