    A cost-effective and wonderful Hotel

    The hospitality was very courteous, and I felt that the staff were well-trained. The lounge service offered a variety of Japanese sake, which I think would be appreciated by international guests as well. My husband also enjoyed the sake. It was conveniently located near the station. I would like to stay at the Property in Shijo as well. It was a wonderful Hotel.

    Parcel delivery is convenient.

    I have used this Hotel several times. As I mentioned in my previous Review, it is convenient to be able to purchase cardboard boxes for delivery at the Hotel. This allows for handling extra luggage from souvenirs or unexpected shopping without having to go to a convenience store. This time, I used a breakfast-included Plan. Unlike the breakfast Plan during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a buffet style, allowing me to enjoy Japanese, Western, or a mix of various cuisines depending on my mood that day. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious tea soba with its firm texture. Although mornings can be quite hectic, leaving me with a bit of regret for not being able to take my time, I hope to enjoy a more leisurely Hotel stay next time. The Room was a single outside Room, and I requested this Room because there is a part where hangers can be hooked on the window side. Since my main attire is kimono, I cannot hang them in a closet. To remove creases, height is necessary... I made a request if it was not possible, but thanks to that, I was able to wear a kimono without creases. Thank you. I used the lounge for afternoon tea twice and the social hour three times. I was able to relax and rest with a pleasant buzz after comparing delicious local sake. I also managed to try a nearby oden shop this time, haha. The Room is spacious enough for an L-size carry-on with a front opening, but I feel it is tight for an L-size with double doors (personal opinion). The direction of the Room, whether north or south, affects the air conditioning efficiency in winter, so it is possible to inquire about blankets for cold weather. This time, due to the cold and snow, I borrowed two blankets. The lounge staff are all wonderfully friendly with their smiles. I am grateful for the courteous response from the front desk staff as well. This 4-night, 5-day stay went by in a flash, but it is a warm Hotel that makes me want to return. Thank you very much.

    Very satisfied

    Starting with a little dessert after check-in, sake and other alcoholic beverages, and breakfast. It was a trip where we could enjoy various things. Making a bracelet using glass beads also became a good memory. The amenities provided on the first floor included sake packs, hair treatments, and bath additives, making the time in the Room fulfilling. From the Room, we could see Kyoto Tower, allowing us to fully enjoy Kyoto. There was also a convenient place to temporarily park the car for loading and unloading luggage. Next time, I would like to visit Onishi-san early in the morning. Thank you very much.

    It was excellent!

    I stayed with a plan that included breakfast. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I was very satisfied with the extensive services that allowed me to enjoy my time at the hotel! In the lounge, you can enjoy the Kyoto atmosphere by making your own matcha or having a matcha parfait with a selection of sweets. The amenity bar offers a wide range of beauty products such as hair oil, face masks, skincare products, and various types of tea bags, which is exciting. There are also handmade sightseeing guide cards distributed by the staff and a Kyoto experience corner, where you can feel the thoughtfulness of "making your travel memories good ones" throughout. The staff's polite and pleasant service was also impressive, making it a wonderful hotel. The breakfast was also very delicious. Thank you for the wonderful time!

    Enjoy our fun amenity bar!

    I had seen this place on various social media platforms and was always curious about it, so I finally stayed here. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful. The Room was spacious and clean, and I loved that the window could be slightly opened. Although the lounge had some closed hours, I was delighted to find out that the snacks were available daily instead of just as a welcome service. In the evening, I enjoyed drinks and light snacks, though it was a bit crowded, which was slightly disappointing. The location near the station made it very convenient. The "white rice" at breakfast was incredibly delicious. Amenities were excellent; I especially appreciated the tea and bath salts. However, I would have liked better quality skincare products.

    Looking forward to staying

    I made a reservation again because it was very good last time. It is very convenient for sightseeing as you can use the lounges of both the hotel in front of the station and the one in Shijo. Also, the content of the lounge always satisfies me. There is also an experience corner that allows you to have experiences that are not easily available, which is very pleasing. It is a hotel I look forward to staying at again. Thank you very much.

    Overall, no complaints!

    The staff are very friendly and pleasant. The lounge service sweets are delicious, and the evening alcoholic beverages are satisfying. However, if I were to offer a critique, it would be that, perhaps due to the large number of foreign guests, the staff were often preoccupied with explanations, leaving other guests waiting. I wondered if there might be a shortage of staff, but it didn't seem that way. Of course, everyone has their own tasks, so it's not entirely negative, but because everything else was so wonderful, this point stood out to me.

    Hidden Gem Hotel in Kyoto

    This is my second stay in Kyoto. The location is just a 5-minute walk from the station, so they kindly stored my luggage for me, both upon arrival and after check-out. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and efficient. The handmade Kyoto maps and cards were extremely helpful. After arrival, I could choose one sweet from 1 PM, and enjoy free drinks in the lounge. The social hour from 6 PM to 9 PM offered a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, allowing me to have a light drink before heading out for dinner. The breakfast was diverse and very satisfying. If you choose not to have breakfast, they offer an exchange for a 3,000 yen product. I will definitely stay here again.

    Toilet paper

    The service, breakfast, amenities, afternoon tea service, and evening drink service at the hotel were all very satisfying, but there was one thing that was very disappointing. From the first day of our 3-night, 4-day stay, both toilet paper rolls in the room's toilet had only a small amount left, and there were no spares provided, so we ended up using them up quickly. Fortunately, we managed with the flushable pocket tissues we had brought just in case, but it was the first time I experienced a hotel providing only a minimal amount of toilet paper, which was surprising and frankly disappointing. If the toilet paper is going to be in such short supply, at least provide a spare. Isn't that common sense for a hotel?? No matter how good the other services are, such a trivial issue can result in an unpleasant experience that feels like a minus 80 points. Also, on the first day, when I took the kettle out from the shelf above the refrigerator where it was placed, a large amount of dust flew up. It was quite disheartening before making tea. It gave the impression that cleaning was not thoroughly done. Other than these two points, I was very satisfied, so it's really unfortunate. Please improve this immediately.

    First Time in Kyoto

    After check-in, I enjoyed a Haagen-Dazs parfait as a welcome service. It was delicious. The Room is not spacious, but it's sufficient for two people. The hairdryer was not the gentle breeze type found in many Hotels, and it dried quickly. The bath and toilet are separate, allowing for a relaxing bath after a tiring day of sightseeing. The alcohol service was also good, with a wide variety of sake. It would be perfect if there were draft beer and snacks available for a fee. The female staff members were pleasant, and I experienced the amenity pack mask for the first time in a while. It is a satisfying Hotel in every aspect. I plan to travel to Kyoto again next year. I would like to stay for two nights next time.

    Highly recommended!

    I stayed for two nights. First, I was satisfied with the hotel I chose because the front lobby gave a sense of Kyoto from the entrance. The staff's response was also reliable, giving a sense of trust in Richmond. The room was spacious, clean, and well-organized. The bathroom had a separate shower and tub, allowing for a relaxing soak. It was nice to have bath salts as part of the amenities. I used the breakfast service on the day, and it was very delicious with a good variety of dishes. Above all, the use of the lounge was well thought out, allowing guests to enjoy drinks and snacks after sightseeing, and during the day, experiences like sutra copying were available. The installation of Kyoto sightseeing cards in the lobby was also very well considered. It was a property where the hotel's efforts and dedication were visibly felt.

    This was my first time staying for 2 nights and 3 days. All the staff were kind and pleasant, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable 3-day stay. The welcome sweets were very delicious, and the amenity bar was well-stocked. The room's shower and hairdryer were also from ReFa. During social time, we visited both the station area and Shijo Karasuma. The station area had a great selection of sake, while Shijo Karasuma offered craft beers, and being able to use both lounges was perfect for stopping by before meals, which was impressive. We also participated in an experience where we could create a travel souvenir. Overall, it was a hotel that left us completely satisfied.

    It was our first trip with our child, and there were many rental items available for children, so we had a comfortable stay. The bath was also separate, which was great for families with children. The welcome sweets were delicious as well. We would like to use this place again.

    Fully enjoyed

    This is my favorite accommodation near Kyoto Station. This time, I was able to come with my daughter for the first time. We were given a room with a view of the top of Kyoto Tower, and we enjoyed sweets time and happy hour while admiring the beautiful garden. The staff's service was excellent, providing a sense of security. The breakfast hours are long, and it's great that it's mainly Kyoto-style Japanese cuisine. Since my daughter had to take the 7:30 Shinkansen, I was concerned about breakfast, but being close to the station and available from 6:30, we had plenty of time. She said the chawanmushi was particularly delicious. The bath had a slight odor, but we were able to stay comfortably in a spacious and clean room. I would love to use this place again.
