    I didn't know that.

    I thought it was Shinagawa Prince Hotel, but it turned out to be something completely different. East? East Tower? The setup is far from what you’d expect from a Prince Hotel—quite shocking. I wish they would change the name. Does it even deserve to be called a Prince Hotel? It’s below the standard of a Business Hotel. I had breakfast at the main dining area. When I returned after getting my food, I found an unfamiliar foreigner eating at my table... For a hotel claiming to be Shinagawa Prince, this was disappointing. The hotel... left me utterly disheartened.

    Perfect for your base

    I chose this accommodation for its convenient access as a base for exploring Tokyo. This was my second stay. Since it was a multiple night stay, the amenities were well-prepared, making it comfortable. It might not satisfy those looking to enjoy an onsen or the accommodation itself, but it's perfect as a base for sightseeing. Personally, I was very satisfied. The cleaning staff also responded politely and attentively.

    When did it become so cost-inefficient?

    I have stayed at the Prince's main building (the oldest building, East Tower?) many times over the decades, but I was shocked to see later that a 13 sqm Room costs 27,000 yen. On some days it seems to be around 10,000 yen, but even so, it's too much. 10,000 yen is reasonable at best. I will not stay at the East Tower again.

    The flexible and accommodating service was excellent.

    I arrived two hours earlier than the check-in time, but when I asked the staff just in case, they informed me that there was a cleaned Room available and guided me immediately. It was very helpful. I was impressed by such flexible service. Since it is conveniently located near the station, I will definitely use it again.

    The property is a bit dated, but the location is excellent.

    The building and bathroom facilities may feel outdated, but the prime location right in front of Shinagawa Station is unbeatable.

    Comfortable, but the noise...

    The location was very convenient, being close to Shinagawa Station. Although it was self check-in and check-out, I felt the Hotel staff's subtle attentiveness. The Room was also nicely arranged, but the only issue was that noise from the neighboring room could be heard quite clearly, especially water-related sounds, which made me a bit conscious. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay without any problems.

    The shower and toilet are a bit small.

    Stayed at the Main Tower for a party of my university. Previously, I stayed at the N Tower or ANNEX, but thinking it was just for sleeping, I chose the cheapest plan and stayed at the East Tower. Room 34 on the 15th floor. The room was clean, but due to its design, the door to enter the bathroom (toilet) was narrow and couldn't open fully as it hit the wall. The toilet was small, and both the shower and bathtub felt very cramped; even taking a shower felt a bit tight. In this case, I thought that business hotels where I occasionally stay are more spacious, cleaner, and cheaper. It's a bit disappointing. I probably won't stay at Tuffman East Tower again.

    I made a reservation urgently, but

    Due to the weather and work, I made an additional reservation on short notice. I thought the single type rooms were the same, but it seems there are types with and without bottled water, and types with and without room lighting dimmers. This time, it was the type without. Also, perhaps due to a different showerhead, the water pressure was weaker than last time, so the impression varies depending on the room, even in the same hotel. I am satisfied with the stay itself. I have another stay planned for work, and although the next reservation was a few days later, the luggage storage service was very helpful.

    This price at the Hotel is appreciated.

    The Room is a typical Business Hotel type, and although the Facility is old, the good access from Shinagawa and the ability to use the Prince's Facility make it highly satisfactory. The response from the front desk staff was also very polite, as expected from a Hotel. It was stress-free. Thank you very much.

    I will not use it next time.

    East Tower Use I asked a question at check-in but was served with an attitude that seemed bothered. The room was not thoroughly cleaned, and the desk was sticky with some liquid spill. Also, the chair provided was dirty and unclean. The toilet water was slow to flush and took time. The bathroom was very cold, possibly due to its age, and seemed likely to cause a cold during the winter season. The walls of the room were thin, and I could hear the sounds from the next room and the hallway. There were also people making noise in the hallway at night, making it uncomfortable to stay. There were no amenities other than a toothbrush, and it would be nice to have skincare and a comb available, even for a fee. There was no convenience store nearby, and East did not have a convenience store within the hotel. It is fine for just a no meals included stay and a nap, but I wouldn't recommend it to those expecting service under the name of Prince Hotel. I think this service is the lowest rank for this price. There were many other hotels where I could receive courteous service at a lower price than the total price this time, so it was disappointing. Expecting under the name and price of Prince Hotel was naive. I understand why there are many reviews with a rating of 1.

    Water facilities

    The location in front of Shinagawa Station is convenient, and the price is reasonable, especially in these times. The self-check-in process was smooth, and the staff's attentiveness was appreciated. If I had to mention two points: The drainage in the bathroom and washroom was slow. Luggage storage is handled at one location for the entire building, so it gets crowded on weekends, which can take time. However, since it's a free service, I can't complain too much. I was there just to sleep during my trip for a concert, so I was more than satisfied. Thank you.

    Too narrow

    Luggage storage before check-in is also a hassle with long lines. When entering the Room, it is narrow and the bathtub does not allow you to stretch your legs.

    Convenient and comfortable location and Room, it was a satisfying stay~

    Very close to Shinagawa Station, with staff available to assist next to the self-check-in machine, making the check-in process smooth. There were reviews mentioning that the hotel rooms are small, but they are spacious enough for a business stay. The long and narrow room is actually convenient, the bed is fluffy, and the extension cord allows you to use your computer on the bed, which was great. There is also a 7-Eleven nearby, and I will be using this hotel from time to time. Thank you very much.

    It was comfortable.

    Close to the station, with automated check-in and check-out, there was no waiting time, and I couldn't find any faults. I think I will use it again.

    I canceled my stay after seeing the room.

    Even on weekdays, business hotels are over 10,000 yen everywhere, and while I think the high prices are inevitable, I assumed that the Prince Hotel, being well-known and listed on IKYU, would be at the level of a regular business hotel. Although I was prepared for the small size, I couldn't endure the unsanitary conditions of the water area (mainly due to its age, but also the musty smell of the shower curtain and dirt around the faucets) and the noise of work outside the room being completely audible, so I immediately canceled the room. I did not directly inform the hotel of the reason for the cancellation, and they proposed preparing a room in another tower, but I don't think I will stay at a Prince chain property again.

    Although it has been renovated...

    The hotel has been renovated, but the walls are still thin, so you can hear sounds and voices from the next room. The unit bath does not have a mixer tap, so you have to adjust the hot and cold water yourself. Additionally, in the economy single room, it is hard to understand the business model of selling amenities under the pretext of being "eco-friendly." The price does not seem cheap, so is it an ecology single room?

    How to Check In

    Unlike using a computer, when I couldn't quite grasp the content being asked, the staff who assisted me from behind did so very skillfully, making check-in easy even for the elderly. If the screen were a bit larger, the process might have been completed even faster!

    I would have liked an explanation of the amenities at check-in.

    I would like a razor to be provided in the room, or at least an explanation if it's not available. I made the reservation thinking it was a great deal for an early booking and because it was near the station and at Shinagawa Prince. I realized there was no razor as an amenity in the room after taking a bath. There was nothing I could do. Apparently, they were sold in the vending machine in the lobby, but there was no explanation, and I never expected there wouldn't be a razor. When I confirmed with the front desk, they offered to bring one to the room, but what I want to say is that it would have been nice to be informed at check-in. I'm not a complainer. I politely declined and changed clothes to go buy one.

    The proximity to the station is convenient.

    Convenient in terms of being close to the station. However, it has become quite old. It's also convenient that there is a convenience store in another tower. However, the air conditioning in the room hardly worked, and even when set to a minimum temperature of 18 degrees, the room became so hot that it felt stifling, and it remained hot even when turned off... I went out into the hallway to cool down. It was a suffocating night, possibly due to a lack of oxygen. The shower in the bathroom was inconvenient as water overflowed from the switch between the shower and the nozzle. Even when closed according to the guidance, increasing the water flow caused it to spurt out. The Room was kept clean, so overall, it's a 3-star rating. As new Hotels are being built one after another, I think it's better to improve the Facility.

    Very satisfied except for the extremely small unit bath.

    I stayed for a private Multiple Night Stay. Thanks to the efficient and compact layout of the necessary items, I didn't feel cramped and it was comfortable. There is sufficient lighting, making it suitable for business use as well. It's close to Shinagawa Station, and I thought I would like to use it while comparing it with the nearby Keikyu during business trips. However, the unit bath is narrow overall, and especially the bathtub might be quite challenging for larger individuals. Is it deeper because it's narrow? Moving from the bathtub to the floor can be tough for the elderly. There is no problem if you only use the shower. It was clean and pleasant to use.

    I often use the Prince Hotel. The location is good, convenient, and comfortable. I would like to use it again.

    It was not as expected.

    For the price, it wasn't as expected. The Room and the bath were both small. However, when I requested an extra set of towels, they brought it to me. The self-check-in felt a bit challenging with a lot of luggage.

    Looking for a conveniently located Stays

    Two months ago, I urgently searched for a place to stay in the city, but couldn't find one easily. I have used the Prince Tower of the Shinagawa Prince Hotel series several times, but this was my first time using the Prince Tower EAST. This time, I opted for No Meals Included and didn't expect much, prioritizing transportation convenience, and this hotel right next to Shinagawa Station was perfect.

    Caught in a minor fire incident with no apology email received.

    The room is small, the bathroom is small, and the window is small. There was an announcement around 4:20 AM, evacuation due to a fire, and we waited outside for over an hour. There was only an explanation from the fire chief, with no apology or email from the Hotel, and I had to use the stairs to return to my room on the 8th floor... I never want to stay at this Hotel again. It's disappointing for a Prince (Purinsu) group Hotel.

    A very convenient Hotel

    The hotel is conveniently located near the station, and there are both convenience stores and restaurants within the building. The breakfast buffet had a long line, which made me hesitate, but it didn't take as long as I thought, so that was good. Also, the minimal amenities provided were eco-friendly, which is great, but I think it would be nice to have a service where guests can freely take what they need from the front desk area.

    Imbalance between content and price

    Check-in and check-out are fully automated, which is good for reducing unnecessary labor costs. However, the unit bath is small, and the faucet is shared between the bathroom and the washbasin, which is common in the Showa era. And this is over 19,000 yen even after a discount? Unbelievable.

    Hotel near the station

    I used it for a business trip. Since I only slept and returned, I didn't use the Hotel's Facility, but I felt it was convenient as there were various dining options around and the station was nearby. However, the walls of the Room were thin, and the sound from the neighboring Room (especially the sound of flushing the toilet) and voices in the hallway echoed. Also, at the time of checkout, I was asked by the Hotel staff to fill out a simple questionnaire. I wondered if it was necessary to conduct it at this timing when I was in a hurry in the morning after checkout, especially a face-to-face questionnaire. Of course, it wasn't mandatory, so I could refuse, but some people might not be able to.
