    Breakfast also offers plenty of variety.

    The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes and plenty of fruit, which I really appreciate. The hotel in Toyama is also lovely, so I always find myself choosing hotels in the Granvia group.

    The hotel was very clean.

    The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station—you can see it from the station. Self-service checkout was quick and easy. The room was very clean, the towels were fluffy, and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well.

    A sumptuous breakfast.

    The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, but its location on the quieter Hachijo Exit side made for a peaceful stay. The breakfast at Hotel Vischio Osaka was delicious, but the spread in Kyoto was even more lavish, making it hard to choose what to eat. I would love to stay here again.

    Convenient location, but the facilities are not suitable for long-term stays.

    It was close to the station, and I was able to arrive without getting lost. Overall, I was very satisfied with the location, amenities, and staff service. However, there were a few disappointing points regarding the facilities and equipment. Perhaps because many guests stay long-term, the washing machines and dryers were always in use by other guests, and I wasn’t able to use them even once during my three-night stay. Being able to check availability from a smartphone is convenient, but since so many people want to use them, as soon as a cycle was about to finish people would gather to wait their turn—it felt like a scramble. Also, the shared restroom in the lobby didn’t feel very clean; possibly due to heavy use, there were times when trash was scattered on the floor. The Wi-Fi speed was also quite slow. It may be fine for basic smartphone use, but it wasn’t fast enough for work. Because I was otherwise very satisfied with the location and service, these issues were somewhat disappointing.

    It was comfortable.

    Although it was my first stay, the property was very clean and comfortable. The lounge was well equipped, and there were lockers, so storing luggage before check-in and after check-out was smooth. One minor point: because the elevator opens only on one side, it felt inconvenient to reach rooms on the opposite side.

    Great location, attentive service, and an excellent breakfast.

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station, making it easy to pick up anything you need. New, clean, and well maintained. The breakfast is very delicious. The staff are professional and pleasant. Overall, it has a tasteful sense of style and was a highly satisfying hotel.

    I had been wanting t...

    I had been wanting to stay here ever since before the opening. The pleasantly scented lobby and the beautiful lounge with complimentary drinks made me feel very welcome. The large public bath was also spacious and comfortable, with plenty of washing stations, lockers, and hair dryers. However, I do have a few requests. I would like to see a wider selection of tea in the lounge. Also, the water provided in the room was too small in quantity and not nearly enough. Since water is not replenished unless you request room cleaning, what I thought was an eco-friendly choice ended up meaning I had to buy water at a convenience store, which was disappointing. As many other hotels do, I would appreciate it if you could leave bottled water and fresh towels by the door. Lastly, I think the breakfast price is too high. It may be fine for those who eat a lot in the morning, but for those who don’t, it feels quite overpriced and didn’t make me want to use it. That said, since the room rates are also higher than other hotels at a similar level, perhaps that’s why.

    The breakfast is excellent.

    While the checkout system and room layout have been streamlined where possible, it still feels like great care has been taken where it matters. The breakfast selection was especially extensive and wonderful. The high-quality fruit was also a big plus.

    Kyoto Trip for Four 67-Year-Olds

    The room, bath, and meals were all wonderful—this hotel exceeded our expectations! However, there was only one box of tissues in the room, and none in the washroom where we wanted them. We would appreciate having tissues in the washroom as well, especially for women. Other than that, the food was delicious, the station was close by, and our stay was truly comfortable! The four of us are already saying we’d like to stay again next time!

    My spouse and I stay...

    My spouse and I stayed for two nights. It was close to Kyoto Station, and the property was new and very clean. The room had only the minimum space and felt a bit small, but the bath and toilet were separate, so we could relax in the bath just like at home. The large public bath also had a mist sauna. Above all, what impressed us most was the wide variety and high quality of the breakfast buffet. Even over multiple nights, we never got tired of it, and everything was delicious. We would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

    It was a very clean hotel.

    The room and bathroom areas felt very clean and well maintained. The bath was easy to use, which was great. The toothbrush was a bit difficult to use because the bristles came out, and while I appreciated having an ironing board, I wasn’t sure how to set it up. The front desk staff were kind, and it was a comfortable hotel to stay at.

    A hearty breakfast

    Breakfast featured many thoughtful touches: Japanese beef steak (rarely seen elsewhere), sukiyaki, gratin served in pastry cases, and both salted and unsalted butter. My favorites were the wide variety of breads, including brioche and cinnamon Danish. The perfectly sized anko-butter burger and vegetable burger were also delicious. With a lounge, a large public bath, and a mist sauna as well, it truly had everything you could ask for.

    The breakfast is delicious.

    I checked in using a machine while following the on-screen instructions, but it felt a bit impersonal. I think I would prefer being assisted at the front desk. Breakfast had a great variety and everything was delicious. There was even steak in the morning, and it was very good. It was also nice that drinks from the lounge next to the entrance could be taken back to the Room.

    Just steps from Kyoto Station! A Hotel where thoughtful attention to detail makes you feel welcome

    This was my first stay here, and I felt thoughtful attention to detail throughout, making it a very comfortable experience. First of all, the location—right in front of Kyoto Station’s Hachijo Exit—is extremely convenient. Even with large luggage, getting around was easy, which was a huge help on this trip. Inside the Hotel, the lobby is spacious and there is also a guest-only lounge, which I really appreciated for relaxing. The lounge is accessed by tapping your Room key card, and there is a wide variety of drinks available—not only coffee but also options like matcha latte—free to enjoy. You can even take drinks back to your Room, and I was surprised that the lounge could be used even after check-out. It’s a wonderful service that lets you relax until the very end. And what I especially loved this time was the large public bath. It was kept very clean, with thorough cleaning and well-stocked amenities. During my stay I used it three times—in the evening, at night, and in the morning—and it was pleasant every time. You bring towels from your Room, but just in case you forget, spare towels were prepared at the entrance as well. I really appreciated this kind of consideration for those “small inconveniences.” I felt this is a Hotel that not only has excellent Facilities but also pays close attention to every detail so guests can enjoy their stay comfortably. I liked my stay so much that I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

    Recommended Hotel

    The breakfast was very delicious. Both the Japanese and Western options offered just the right number of dishes, and everything tasted great. The staff were also very attentive, and we were very satisfied. In addition, the Room had a separate bath, which was nice. Even with three people, it felt spacious and comfortable. If we have a chance to travel to Kyoto again, we would like to stay here with our family again.

    Excellent value-for-money Hotel

    Kyoto’s soaring Accommodation prices—often seeming to overlook Japanese tourists—have eased a bit, and I can finally choose a Hotel calmly again. At this Hotel, the breakfast, rooms, and large public bath were all high quality just as the Reviews said, so I’m glad I chose it.

    I always stay here on business trips. This time, it was my first Multiple Night Stay in a while, and the breakfast selection is so varied that you never get tired of it—even during a Multiple Night Stay, you can start each day with a satisfying meal. The Room is compact but well designed and easy to use. I’d like to stay here again.

    Very satisfied

    The Room has a calm atmosphere. The meals are delicious with a wide variety—so much that you’ll have trouble deciding what to eat. There is a free drink service, with many beverage options. The bath is spacious, and there are plenty of washing stations, making it very comfortable. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    A wide variety of breakfast options.

    This was my first time staying at this Hotel. The breakfast selection was huge! There were breads and rice, as well as Japanese options like steamed rice and rice porridge, plus Western dishes and a variety of sweets. Waffles, donuts, French toast, and soft-serve ice cream. They also had Kyoto’s signature yatsuhashi for breakfast—you could add sweet red bean paste yourself and top it with kuromitsu syrup and kinako as you like. Everything was delicious. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

    This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. The property and the Room were clean and well maintained, so I could relax comfortably. There are many international guests, but it never feels noisy, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The breakfast buffet is simply delicious. There is a wide variety of bread, and each item is carefully prepared and tasty. The meat was also tender, and I even went back for seconds in the morning. The seating area is spacious, which makes it easy to enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Conveniently located near the station, with a large public bath.

    Close to Kyoto Station, with a convenience store just nearby. There are guest-only lockers where you can store your luggage before check-in. The large public bath is also great—you can stretch out and relax in both the hot summer and cold winter. There is also a lounge, which was convenient for taking a short break before heading out sightseeing. If possible, I would have liked to see some soft drinks other than coffee, tea, and green tea. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including Japanese and Western dishes, and the menu selection was excellent.

    Always very satisfied.

    Close to the station and always clean, this Hotel leaves me fully satisfied every time. There is a lounge near the first-floor entrance with coffee and other refreshments. You can read the morning paper, or bring your laptop and get a bit of work done. I also appreciate that they will store your luggage even after checkout. In Kyoto, this is the only place I stay.

    Convenient for both sightseeing and business.

    From the courteous reception at check-in, I had another very pleasant stay. The hotel is close to the station, and it’s convenient that you can store your luggage before check-in yourself in the locker room opened by staff, using either a locker or the suitcase shelves. The large public bath was also comfortable this time, as everyone followed proper etiquette and I could use it without stress. You’re supposed to bring towels from your room, but they now provide towels for guests who forget, which seemed very helpful. I also saw staff making regular rounds, which made me feel reassured. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I enjoyed it both mornings of my two-night stay.

    We stayed for 5 nights!

    It was great. It was quiet and clean, and I could really relax. Breakfast was available until 11:00, which gave me plenty of time. There was a wide variety, and I especially loved the croissants, the red miso soup, and the “meshi dorobo” (rice thief) topping. The large public bath and sauna on the 2nd floor were nicely hot and very relaxing. On the same floor there was a gym, two massage chairs (300 yen for 15 minutes), and five coin laundry machines (700 yen), so my 100-yen coins came in handy. All of the staff were kind as well. Also, since it’s right in front of the station, there are many bus routes departing from/arriving at Kyoto Station, so it felt reassuring to know I could just hop on a bus if I got tired while sightseeing. Restaurants were crowded too, so having an AEON within walking distance was very helpful. I don’t really have any complaints, but coin laundries in Kyoto tend to get very busy even around town. It was extremely helpful that you can check the availability of the five machines from your Room, but it can still be hard to get one. Bringing extra changes of clothes would make things easier. One more thing: at the vending machines on the 2nd floor, water seemed to sell out quickly with limited stock—adding more would make it even more convenient.

    It was amazing!!!

    Everything was excellent. I stayed with my boyfriend, and we’re already thinking about making another Reservation because we’d love to come back.
