I always stay here on business trips. This time, it was my first Multiple Night Stay in a while, and the breakfast selection is so varied that you never get tired of it—even during a Multiple Night Stay, you can start each day with a satisfying meal. The Room is compact but well designed and easy to use. I’d like to stay here again.

    Very satisfied

The Room has a calm atmosphere. The meals are delicious with a wide variety—so much that you’ll have trouble deciding what to eat. There is a free drink service, with many beverage options. The bath is spacious, and there are plenty of washing stations, making it very comfortable. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Impeccable Cleanliness and Comfort: From the moment you step into the hotel and your room, you’ll notice the crisp, refreshing cleanliness that Japanese hotels are known for. From spotless white bedding and a pristine bathroom to modern, minimalist interiors, everything helps you truly unwind—enjoying high-quality relaxation and a restful night’s sleep. A Warm Welcome with Complimentary Coffee: Free coffee in the lobby or a dedicated lounge area is an easy little delight during your trip. Savor a warm, aromatic cup in the afternoon or before heading out to start your day on a wonderful note. An Immersive Matcha Experience: One of the most delightful surprises is the matcha experience offered at the hotel. In a contemporary setting, enjoy Kyoto’s signature fragrant matcha—its gentle bitterness followed by natural sweetness feels like capturing the soul of this historic city in a single bowl, bringing deep comfort to both body and mind. Excellent Location: Located near Kyoto Station, it’s incredibly convenient for taking the subway, transferring to JR lines, or finding great food—saving you from the hassle of traveling with heavy luggage.

A wide variety of breakfast options.

This was my first time staying at this Hotel. The breakfast selection was huge! There were breads and rice, as well as Japanese options like steamed rice and rice porridge, plus Western dishes and a variety of sweets. Waffles, donuts, French toast, and soft-serve ice cream. They also had Kyoto’s signature yatsuhashi for breakfast—you could add sweet red bean paste yourself and top it with kuromitsu syrup and kinako as you like. Everything was delicious. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

This is my second stay. The property and the Room were clean and well maintained, so I could relax comfortably. There are many international guests, but it never feels noisy, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The breakfast buffet is simply delicious. There is a wide variety of bread, and each item is carefully prepared and tasty. The meat was also tender, and I even went back for seconds in the morning. The seating area is spacious, which makes it easy to enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Conveniently located near the station, with a large public bath.

Close to Kyoto Station, with a convenience store just nearby. There are guest-only lockers where you can store your luggage before check-in. The large public bath is also great—you can stretch out and relax in both the hot summer and cold winter. There is also a lounge, which was convenient for taking a short break before heading out sightseeing. If possible, I would have liked to see some soft drinks other than coffee, tea, and green tea. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including Japanese and Western dishes, and the menu selection was excellent.

    Always very satisfied.

Close to the station and always clean, this Hotel leaves me fully satisfied every time. There is a lounge near the first-floor entrance with coffee and other refreshments. You can read the morning paper, or bring your laptop and get a bit of work done. I also appreciate that they will store your luggage even after checkout. In Kyoto, this is the only place I stay.

Convenient for both sightseeing and business.

From the courteous reception at check-in, I had another very pleasant stay. The hotel is close to the station, and it’s convenient that you can store your luggage before check-in yourself in the locker room opened by staff, using either a locker or the suitcase shelves. The large public bath was also comfortable this time, as everyone followed proper etiquette and I could use it without stress. You’re supposed to bring towels from your room, but they now provide towels for guests who forget, which seemed very helpful. I also saw staff making regular rounds, which made me feel reassured. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I enjoyed it both mornings of my two-night stay.

    We stayed for 5 nights!

It was great. It was quiet and clean, and I could really relax. Breakfast was available until 11:00, which gave me plenty of time. There was a wide variety, and I especially loved the croissants, the red miso soup, and the “meshi dorobo” (rice thief) topping. The large public bath and sauna on the 2nd floor were nicely hot and very relaxing. On the same floor there was a gym, two massage chairs (300 yen for 15 minutes), and five coin laundry machines (700 yen), so my 100-yen coins came in handy. All of the staff were kind as well. Also, since it’s right in front of the station, there are many bus routes departing from/arriving at Kyoto Station, so it felt reassuring to know I could just hop on a bus if I got tired while sightseeing. Restaurants were crowded too, so having an AEON within walking distance was very helpful. I don’t really have any complaints, but coin laundries in Kyoto tend to get very busy even around town. It was extremely helpful that you can check the availability of the five machines from your Room, but it can still be hard to get one. Bringing extra changes of clothes would make things easier. One more thing: at the vending machines on the 2nd floor, water seemed to sell out quickly with limited stock—adding more would make it even more convenient.

The staff are very friendly and helpful!

This is my second stay! Close to Kyoto Station A wide variety of delicious breakfast options Free cafe service in the lounge Good security The Room is clean, and the bathroom and toilet are separate There is also a large public bath Above all, the staff are wonderful! This time in particular, a female front desk staff member kindly and smoothly helped me arrange to send my luggage to my second Hotel (for two nights), and I really appreciated it. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kyoto!

We were satisfied with the Onsen, the meals, and the Room.

This was my first time staying at Vischio, and choosing this property based on the Reviews was absolutely the right decision. It’s close to the station, the Room was clean, and the Onsen was spacious and spotless with everything I needed—perfect for relieving travel fatigue. Adding breakfast was also a great choice. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything—from fruit to desserts—was very delicious. It’s not unnecessarily luxurious, but it’s modern, clean, and has everything you need, so it was a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

We were very satisfied with both the large public bath and breakfast. It was so popular that it was quite crowded, which was the only downside. We will stay again!

This is the first time something has exceeded my expectations by so much.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location for sightseeing, and because my son insisted, “I want a place with a large public bath!” To be honest, I didn’t expect much—I assumed being close to the station was probably its only selling point… but I was pleasantly proven wrong and truly impressed. The breakfast buffet is as varied as a typical dinner buffet, with both Japanese and Western options. There’s steak grilled right in front of you, an impressive selection of drinks, bread constantly coming out fresh from the oven, and even DIY parfaits in the morning. We planned to eat quickly and head out sightseeing, but every day it was hard to leave. The large public bath was more spacious than expected, and since we visited outside the Obon holiday period it never felt crowded, so we could relax comfortably. Security also felt very solid—for example, you need your key card to access your floor and the women’s public bath area—which gave us peace of mind. The lounge offers complimentary drinks, so I enjoyed a “Kyoto-style” matcha latte every day. My husband recently started working out and was happy he could use the gym daily as well. Having coin laundry available is very helpful, though it can be tough when it turns into a bit of a race to get machines. Both the Room and the public bath were exceptionally clean overall, and the staff were warm, kind, and welcoming—making our stay very comfortable. We’ll likely have more chances to visit Kyoto from now on, so we’ll definitely stay here again next time.

    Highly satisfied

I stayed on a Plan with breakfast included. Despite its very convenient location right in front of the station, the building was very quiet, and I could also enjoy greenery such as the courtyard, making my stay even more comfortable than expected. Using my points immediately made it feel like an even better deal.

    Thank you very much.

I made a Reservation under a 3-night Plan, but on the second night my home was affected by an earthquake and I had to return urgently. Thank you very much for your understanding when I contacted you to Cancel the Reservation. The location was great, the Room was clean, and above all, there were so many breakfast options that it was hard to choose—everything was delicious. Since I had planned to stay three nights, I wanted to try everything over three mornings, but because I went home after two nights, I couldn’t try it all. I’ll be back! I also didn’t get a chance to use the Onsen, so that’s something else to look forward to next time. All of the Hotel staff were wonderful. Thank you very much.

    I usually stay at Ho...

I usually stay at Hotel Granvia Kyoto, but compared with that, this place felt newer and more casual while still offering all the essential amenities, and I had a comfortable three-night stay. The breakfast buffet restaurant was also compactly arranged, making it easy to choose dishes; I especially enjoyed the sushi and tofu made with Kyoto ingredients. During the extreme heat, the guest-only lounge was a very comfortable space, and I used it many times to stay hydrated. However, I felt it was very unhygienic that some inbound guests were filling their own bottles or plastic bottles directly from the cold drink dispenser spout. I believe appropriate signage is needed. Thank you for your consideration. Thank you very much for all your help during my stay.

An excellent Hotel near the station!!!

Because it’s close to the station, I could drop off my luggage right after getting off the Shinkansen, and it was great that I could leave my luggage there until the very last minute on the day of departure! The lounge drinks were delicious, and everything felt clean—I was really impressed and thought, “This is a great Hotel!” The large public bath was also wonderful, and the Room bathroom wasn’t a unit bath; it had a proper bathtub, so I could soak whenever I wanted, which was amazing.

We highly recommend this property for its great location and cleanliness.

I’ve stayed here several times. The location is excellent—close to Kyoto Station and the airport limousine bus stop—but this time I was especially impressed with the breakfast, which I tried for the first time. There were several kinds of smoothies, a wide variety of both Western and Japanese dishes, and everything tasted great. They even had steak and sukiyaki in the morning, and the wagyu beef was delicious. I didn’t use the large public bath this time, but I’d like to try it on my next visit.

    My favorite Hotel.

My favorite Hotel. I stayed here on a trip with my daughter. The Room is small, but the service was excellent and made us feel truly welcome. Also, the breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. Especially the six kinds of jam (I think?)—the best I’ve ever had! The lounge was also very relaxing and wonderful. When I visit Kyoto again, I’d love to stay here again.

    It was comfortable.

The Ladies’ Room was on the same floor as the large public bath, so it was very convenient to go for a soak anytime. The Room didn’t feel very spacious, but I could use the lounge and relax with a cup of tea. The breakfast was high quality, and everything was delicious.

    Glad to hear that.

I stayed in a triple room with two friends. The room faced the courtyard, so we kept the curtains closed, but it was quiet and we slept well. Above all, the breakfast was excellent! We enjoyed relaxing and chatting in the lounge, and it was convenient that we could all go to the large public bath at the same time. It was my first time staying on the south side of Kyoto Station, but the Hotel was close to the station, which was great. I’d like to stay here again.

Even if it’s not directly connected to the station, it still deserves full marks.

From Tokyo by Shinkansen. I had business in Oyamazaki and planned to use a rental car, so I chose a Hotel near the Hachijo Exit. I booked mainly based on price without much research, and it turned out to be a great choice. There’s an exclusive lounge for guests where you can relax, and although I didn’t use them, there’s also a gym and an Onsen. I had breakfast (¥4,500), which offered a wide variety of options and was delicious. Honestly, I recommend this over the main Hotel directly connected to the station.

    Highly Satisfying Breakfast

This was my first stay! From the entrance to the lounge, everything felt very calm and upscale. Breakfast was excellent—Japanese obanzai dishes, roast beef, and even sukiyaki. I love trying Hotel breakfasts in different places, and this was the first time I’ve been served a sukiyaki-style dish. It was delicious, and the freshly baked bread was great too. I want to come back, so I’m already checking travel booking sites right away. lol

    This was my third stay.

About once a year I travel to the Kansai area, and I always use Kyoto as my base. Each time, I stay at Vischio because it is conveniently located close to Kyoto Station. One reason I love this Hotel is that the toilet and bath are separate, and the bathroom in particular is spacious, with both a washing area and a bathtub. My husband, who loves large communal baths, always uses the public bath. It feels rare to find a Hotel that satisfies both of us—me, who doesn’t like public baths, and my husband, who enjoys a big bath. The staff have always been consistently helpful with no issues, but this time they were especially kind. I arrived before 2:30 p.m. and planned to leave my luggage and walk to Toji Temple, but I was told my Room was ready and was allowed to check in early. During check-in, the male staff member explained on a map how to get to Toji Temple as well as how to reach another place I wanted to visit afterward. He even walked out of the Hotel with me afterward and gave me directions along the way. I’m not sure, but based on his manner of service he seemed like someone in a senior position. He left a wonderful impression on me. Thank you very much. As always, breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was delicious. I was completely satisfied in every way. I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Kyoto.

A Comfortable Stay for Three Generations

I have stayed here several times, and the highlights are its convenient location near the Hachijo Exit, a spacious and comfortable lounge, a similarly spacious and spotless large public bath, and well-designed Rooms with separate bath and toilet. Since I often stay with my college-aged daughter, another great point is the availability of a Ladies’ Twin Room close to the large public bath. Both the lounge and the large public bath are kept very clean, as staff are always present. When I requested a specific Room at check-in, they responded very courteously, allowing me to enjoy a very comfortable stay. My parents requested an upper-floor Room, and they were delighted to be given one with views of the Shinkansen and Kyoto Tower. The Room was thoroughly cleaned; however, the only issue was an odor in the bathroom. If it fits my budget again, I would love to stay here in the future.
