    Women’s Bath

    There was a sudden shower, and it was very helpful that umbrellas were provided at the entrance.\nAlthough there were coffee and tea packets in the Room, there was no lounge or comfortable place to relax, so I couldn’t take my time enjoying the stone garden.\nThe area to rest after bathing and the space for drying hair were spacious and nice.\nSince it’s in town, I also enjoyed going out to eat.\nI’d like to stay again.

    One more large public bath.

    I have stayed here many times and have been comfortable overall, except for the large public bath. The windows are large, and the Room feels spacious. It is located in an office district and is relatively quiet at night, but if you walk a little farther you can go to the Shijo area, Daimaru, and other busy spots for dining or shopping. However, since you have a large public bath on site, I would like to request a few improvements. First, the shower water flow and temperature are unstable. → I understand this may not be easy to fix, but I would really appreciate your attention to it. Second, the trash bin in the changing Room was overflowing with paper cups and other waste. → For safety reasons as well, I request that staff check the area once every hour. Lastly, After bathing, there is no place to sit and relax; despite this being a narrow corridor, it becomes crowded as guests checking in merge with people using the vending machines and microwave ovens. → This may be difficult due to the Facility layout, but I request fundamental measures such as opening up access to the courtyard or the lobby in front of reception.

    Courteous Reception Service

    At check-in, I was soothed by the calm, Kyoto-lady-style hospitality at the front desk. The single-use shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were wonderfully fragrant and high quality—I even considered buying them. The Room was thoughtfully appointed, and everything—from the tea and coffee to the teaware—was from well-known brands and suited my taste.

    Comfortable

    I stayed for 2 nights with No Meals Included. I had a very comfortable stay. I was happy that the women’s large public bath had a ReFa shower head, and the Room amenities were well stocked, which was very helpful. There were also laundry facilities in several areas, making them easy to use.

    Amenities?

    This is my second stay because I like the Room with a shower room. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided in the Room, but there are no skincare amenities. Many Hotels place amenities near the front desk, and some provide items such as toner, lotion, and makeup remover there, so I didn’t bring any this time. I was able to buy them next door at Sugi Pharmacy, but I think it would be nice if they were available as part of the service.

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located, I often stay here when traveling alone for business. While each visit is a little different, it is consistently comfortable and I can stay with peace of mind. Among Hotels in Kyoto with a large public bath, it’s rare to find one with a TV and sofas in the post-bath lounge area, and the clean, relaxing atmosphere is another big plus.

    It’s my first visit back in a while.

    My first stay back in a while. The Room is compact, but functional and very clean. You bring a bath towel and face towel from the Room to the large public bath, but I would have liked a hand towel for drying my hands in the Room. The large public bath had ReFa showerheads and ReFa hair dryers. They also provided makeup remover, toner, emulsion, body lotion, cotton pads, hair ties, and more, and both the changing area and vanity space felt clean and well maintained. The Hotel’s location is extremely convenient, so I’d definitely like to stay again when I visit Kyoto.

    Rules for the Large Public Bath

    Some foreign guests do not follow the public bath rules at all. Wash basins are left scattered around, some people enter the changing room wearing slippers, and others leave their long hair loose so it floats in the bath, etc. The staff seemed to patrol and remind guests of the rules. It must be a very demanding job. Thank you for your help.

    A beautiful Hotel

    I visited Kyoto on a business trip. Since it was such good value, I honestly didn’t have high expectations. What a surprise when I arrived! The lobby was spotless, the Room was spotless, and the bathroom and toilet were separate! The bath towels felt amazing—so comfortable. The staff service was excellent as well. I’d like to stay again next time. P.S. It’s conveniently located between Shijo Karasuma Station and Gojo Karasuma Station on the subway, which made getting around very easy.

    A Satisfying Finale to Your Kyoto Trip

    First, the Hotel’s exterior is stylish and elegant, creating a wonderful first impression. Once inside, the front desk staff were highly professional and kind. I stayed for two nights, but due to a technical mistake when making my Room Reservation, I ended up booking the two nights as separate Reservations. However, the Hotel staff noticed this and arranged it so I could stay in the same Room. A less professional Hotel might struggle with this situation, but here everything was handled smoothly, with professionalism evident down to the smallest details. As for the Room itself, both the Facility amenities and cleanliness were excellent. They also provided high-quality shampoo and shower gel that met Hotel standards. It wasn’t clearly stated whether tap water was drinkable, but there was a reverse osmosis water purifier installed, which made me feel confident about the water quality. Overall: 5 stars. The location was fantastic—just a few minutes’ walk to an izakaya I wanted to visit. The neighborhood has many hidden gems and a truly Kyoto-like atmosphere. It was great. The only minor drawback was that instead of fabric curtains, the Room had double-layer blackout curtains. The light-blocking effect was excellent, but because the material was stiff it made some rattling noise. To prevent it from disturbing my sleep at night, I wedged the purple cylindrical chair cushion between the curtain and the sofa to hold it in place.

    Clean, convenient, and minimal—everything you need.

    A Kyoto girls’ trip with four friends. The main theme of this trip was traveling in the Green Car and enjoying a luxurious dinner at our favorite restaurant. We stayed in a double Room for single use. The location was convenient, within walking distance of Gion, and it was also great to have a convenience store just next door. The Room is simple but clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The Room has only a shower, but the overhead shower was more comfortable than expected. The amenities were unbranded, so I didn’t use them and used my own cosmetics instead. Many of the international guests staying there also seemed very pleasant. Depending on the rate, I’d definitely like to stay again.

    It was comfortable.

    This was my first stay. It’s a short walk from the station, but since it’s along Karasuma Street, you’ll arrive fairly quickly if you stroll there. While self check-in machines have become more common recently, the front desk staff assisted me politely and attentively. They also stored my suitcase both before and after check-in, and when I came to pick it up, they helped me without requiring me to go to the front desk—I was able to wait seated in a chair. The service was very pleasant. Amenities and bottled water were provided in the Room, so I was able to spend my time comfortably.

    Comfortable Room

    I extended my stay due to a sudden business trip. Having stayed at the chain's Sapporo location multiple times, I was pleased to find the Kyoto location also had a large public bath Facility, allowing me to relax. Although breakfast was included, I couldn't enjoy it due to my schedule—looking forward to trying it next time!

    The high quality of the Facility, cleanliness, and customer service makes me choose this place every time I visit Kyoto recently. However, I was disappointed this time as the towels that used to be provided in the large public bath have been removed, and now guests need to bring them from their Room, which is less convenient. I hope you can revert to the previous system, but if it is unavoidable due to cost-saving measures, I would like to request towel hangers or similar installations in the Room since there is no place to dry towels.

    A tranquil location and facility

    We visited during the autumn foliage long weekend. As someone else mentioned, we usually choose accommodations near Kyoto Station where we can immediately leave our luggage. However, upon learning about the luggage delivery service from Kyoto Station to city hotels and back to the station on checkout day, we decided on this accommodation. As a result, we were able to head straight to Arashiyama on the first day and enjoy Kyoto until the very last moment before returning. **About the Facility** The front desk has a calm atmosphere with a view of a stone garden. The elevator hall with three operating elevators leading to guest rooms and the large public bath is separated from the front area by an automatic door for added privacy in guest areas. Elevators require room key cards for floor access, ensuring good security. We stayed in a triple room with three proper beds—perfect for trips with friends! If I had one suggestion, it would be even better if there were separate bath and toilet facilities. The window overlooks an inner courtyard rather than outside scenery but provides sufficient brightness during daytime hours. Speaking of light control in rooms—the blackout screens are excellent! It was so dark in the morning that I almost overslept! Each floor has water dispensers along with tumblers provided in each room according to occupancy numbers—very convenient for easy access to drinking water. **Breakfast at IKARIA365 (1st Floor)** The Western-style breakfast was just right for our two-night stay; they even serve rice specifically paired with their signature curry dish! Desserts like pudding and Baumkuchen were also available alongside delicious coffee—a delightful way to start mornings here. One minor issue: while staff promptly cleared empty plates (which is appreciated), they seemed unaware when tilting plates caused stew sauce spills onto my bag placed on a chair below or later onto said chair itself after moving items around...     Amenities are inadequate.

    The in-room amenities, including the provided items, are unsatisfactory. For the price, there is no mineral water provided. The tea bags available are only two green tea bags. It seems standard to have coffee and black tea as well. There is no hand towel. The response of the remote control for the in-room TV is extremely slow; such outdated equipment is unacceptable.

    Comfortable and fully equipped with essentials.

    I stayed with my daughter for a personal matter. From arrival to luggage storage after checkout, we were able to spend our time comfortably and safely. It was very pleasant. For non-resort stays, all of my preferences (location, cleanliness, a room that is not too small, delicious bread for breakfast, efficient front desk service, separate top and bottom pajamas, an iron, etc.) were met. After thorough research on prices, I was able to stay at a very reasonable rate and truly appreciated it. I would like to use this accommodation again if I have another opportunity.

    This is my second stay. I tried the breakfast for the first time this time and would like to include it again next time. It would be great if there were washcloths for handwashing in the Room.     This Hotel offers excellent cost performance in terms of location, Facility, service, and meals (Ikariya), making me want to stay again. To ensure an even more comfortable stay, I would appreciate it if the following issues I noticed during my stay could be improved: These might be temporary (seasonal? weather-related?) issues, but I kindly request measures to address them. 1. Small insects were found on the bed sheets. 2. While the public bath is generally well-maintained for cleanliness, multiple small insects were found on the walls of the washing area (used 3 times: night and morning).

    During the COVID-19 ...

    During the COVID-19 pandemic, I occasionally stayed at this accommodation when visiting Kyoto. It is close to home, has a large public bath, and is always well-cleaned, so I often stayed here when I wanted to relax. However, this time I was concerned about the room's cleanliness. The air purifier was dusty, and there was an unpleasant smell in the toilet... While switching from plastic bottles to a water dispenser is understandable, it’s inconvenient to only have lidless tumblers in the room for use. At check-in, staff used to be very polite regardless of who assisted me; however, this time they seemed overwhelmed with handling foreign tourists and luggage storage requests. There were no greetings either, which felt a bit disappointing. This has been one of my favorite hotels; I hope to stay again once things settle down.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    It was just before the cherry blossoms bloomed, so I was able to stay at a relatively reasonable price. Additionally, my Room was upgraded, allowing me to relax in the bathtub without needing to use the public bath. The tableware provided in the guest Room was simple yet stylish, adding a nice touch to the travel experience. Breakfast was delicious; however, the service left something to be desired. While I was getting food, someone bumped into my arm from behind—when I turned around, it turned out to be a staff member who simply passed by with an "oh" and no apology. At another moment when I tried to take some food that had almost run out, they attempted to remove it right then and there. When I asked if I could take it first, they silently placed the plate back as if annoyed by being interrupted. Since most of the guests were international travelers, perhaps polite communication isn't customary here—but such behavior would be unthinkable even at an ordinary restaurant outside of breakfast hours.

    I stayed for two nights in Kyoto with my daughter. The entire hotel was very clean and pleasant. The room wasn’t very spacious, but there was a stand to open suitcases, so it was convenient enough. It’s just a few minutes' walk to the subway, one stop from Kyoto Station, and there’s a convenience store nearby. Most importantly, the large public bath helped relieve the fatigue from walking all day. The hair-drying area was partitioned off and very user-friendly as well. There was also a vending machine for Baskin-Robbins ice cream, but note that the new 500 yen coins cannot be used. I usually drink coffee in the morning, and since I read reviews mentioning no coffee in the room, I brought drip coffee with me and it worked out well. Overall, it was a very satisfying hotel stay. Thank you!

    I had a comfortable Multiple Night Stay for three nights, but...

    I stayed for three nights. It was very comfortable, and since it was a cold day with snow, the large public bath felt very pleasant. The water dispensers and laundry facilities on each floor were also helpful. Additionally, it was nice to be able to check the congestion status of the large public bath and the status and completion time of the laundry (on each floor) on the room's TV. However, what was disappointing given how high my satisfaction level was is that although I didn't use it for bathing, every time I went to use the toilet in my room's unit bath, I felt dizzy. It resembled entering a ferry's toilet on a slightly rough day. Perhaps it's due to drainage slopes... Moreover, many of the amenities were old with peeling surfaces. The soles of slippers were also worn out; it's unfortunate. I checked in during sudden rain; feeling cold and wet while carrying heavy suitcases up and down station stairs left me exhausted upon arrival but relieved by how kindly front desk staff treated me—thank you so much!
