The location is excellent—just a short walk from the station with great access. When I asked to leave my luggage before check-in, I was told I could enter right away, which was a big help on such a hot day and gave me a chance to take a break. The entire building has tatami flooring, making it comfortable to spend time in the Room, and there is also a large public bath where I could relax and recover from fatigue. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. The young male staff member on the floor was quick and efficient, which made for a pleasant start to the morning. Thank you as well for kindly assisting me with my inquiry about an item I left behind after returning home.

    I stayed at this Acc...

I stayed at this Accommodation at the end of May. It’s close to the station, and it was a huge help that they could store my luggage before check-in and after check-out. Also, this is a Ryokan-style property where you take off your shoes when entering, but I really liked the system that lets you either bring your shoes to your Room or leave them in a locker (I really dislike places that take your shoes away at the entrance, and I usually avoid staying at Ryokan for that reason). The only thing I noticed was that there was no hand soap in the sink area of the Room (and none in the shower booth either). Since it was listed among the in-room amenities in the introduction video, I assume it was simply forgotten. Other than that, my stay was very comfortable—thank you very much.

    The food is delicious.

The breakfast buffet is excellent. It offers a wide variety, and meats and sausages are grilled right in front of you, making it great value for money.

Moderately comfortable, but expensive since it’s a tourist area during the holiday period.

The property was clean, easy to stay in, and comfortable. On the other hand, it felt a bit overpriced. I booked a Plan with no cleaning during a Multiple Night Stay, and even towel replacement wouldn’t be provided unless I requested it via the TV—and only once per day. It was just under 50,000 yen for two nights in a single room without meals, so I couldn’t help feeling they could offer a bit more service for the price. That said, laundry was free to wash and the gas dryer was 100 yen per 20 minutes, so I could do as much laundry as I wanted at almost no cost, which was very helpful. Also, while there were no direct issues, it felt like the hygiene manager may not be very resistant to pseudoscience, which could be a potential risk.

    A Highly Satisfying Trip

Our first stay at a Kyoritsu Resort. We were extremely satisfied with everything—the location, the Room and other Facilities, the Onsen, the meals, and the overall service. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious. We would love to stay again.

    The linens smell musty.

I stayed for 25,000 yen without meals. As soon as I entered the Room, there was a musty smell, like damp linens that hadn’t fully dried and had mold. I was looking forward to this luxury stay, but it was uncomfortable even while sleeping. I would like someone to check the Room before guests arrive. Also, in the women’s bath, there was an elderly woman wearing slippers. In addition, some guests were moving across the tatami with their suitcases. Since this is a Facility where shoes must be removed, I felt this was unhygienic.

    A Pleasant Accommodation

I stayed for two nights on my own. As others have written, the Accommodation was clean and very well maintained. The bath was relaxing, and it was also nice that the entire building has tatami flooring. There were no issues at all for a solo female traveler. When I stayed, most guests seemed to be international visitors, and they were all very considerate as well.

Families with babies are welcome to use the Onsen.

I made a Reservation looking forward to the Onsen and breakfast. I was satisfied with the Facility and the meals, but there was one concern. Someone brought a baby into the large public bath. The baby was not yet one year old. Naturally, there is a risk of accidents. After seeing that, I didn’t feel comfortable using the same bath afterward and could only use the open-air bath. At an everyday public bathhouse, I would accept it as unavoidable, but on a trip—especially when there is also a shower in the Room—couldn’t they have taken turns as a couple and washed the baby in the Room instead? Is it common at Dormy Inn for babies to enter the Onsen everywhere? Could you at least allow use of the large public bath only for children who are out of diapers? Thank you for your consideration.

We were completely satisfied with this Accommodation.

The service, location, breakfast, and Facility are excellent, yet it feels like great value for money. If I had to mention one issue, it was unpleasant to see some Asian guests walking around barefoot and putting their feet up on chairs while eating. I understand it may be a cultural habit, but I wonder if you could post a notice asking guests to wear socks while walking around.

Great location near the station, and the large public bath is excellent.

It was truly a great stay—conveniently located near the station, with a large public bath and even complimentary late-night ramen. I’d love to stay here again on my next trip.

Nono: A Stay That Exceeds Expectations

Conveniently located near the station, clean, and with delicious breakfast. When I mentioned wanting to clean my shoes after the rain, I was kindly provided with disposable wipes. I noticed thoughtful attention to details, likely due to many international guests, which must require a lot of effort. However, when someone started applying nail polish in the unmanned public bath area and it caused an unpleasant smell, I wasn’t sure what to do and couldn’t take any action.

    The Hotel is located...

The Hotel is located right in front of JR Nara Station! Like other Kyoritsu Resort properties, you can leave your shoes in the shoe locker and walk barefoot on the tatami flooring inside, which felt very comfortable. The room was compact and well-organized, and the Onsen was excellent. Dinner is not included, but there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, as well as late-night ramen available. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes and alcoholic beverages, all delicious. Kintetsu Nara Station and Naramachi are within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing. I will definitely visit again!

    Next to the railway tracks

I have stayed at Dormy Inn in other prefectures three times before, but this is my first review. At this Dormy Inn, the sound of trains during the night and early morning is quite noticeable. Although there are double sashes, I found myself checking the train schedule because it bothered me. I believe it depends on the direction of the room, so next time I will request a room not facing the tracks.

    Excellent and attentive service!

I live in Osaka and went on a relaxing trip with my mother. After strolling around places like Sarusawa Pond, we headed to the hotel and arrived earlier than expected. Since our room was ready, we were allowed to check in early, which was very much appreciated. It was convenient that the TV displayed the crowd status of the large public bath and breakfast area. The amenities in the large public bath were excellent, and the massage chair seemed to be a state-of-the-art model—it was fantastic. Additionally, I appreciated the thoughtful service of having ice cream available at night and probiotic drinks in the morning for free. I often stay at Dormy Inn for business trips but had my first chance to try their "Yonaki Soba" this time—it was delicious! My mother also said she couldn’t believe there’s such a wonderful accommodation right by JR Nara Station, and she was very satisfied with our stay.

    Stayed during the mi...

Stayed during the middle of a three-day weekend. At check-in, I was informed that the Hotel was almost fully booked, and breakfast time was pushed back by 30 minutes. When I went for breakfast around 8:30 AM, there was a long line. I received a numbered ticket at the reception and had to wait for 30 minutes. Once seated, there were only 45 minutes left until closing time. For someone like me who enjoys carefully selecting dishes and eating at my own pace at a Hotel breakfast buffet, this wasn't enough time. The rushed atmosphere made it hard to enjoy the meal properly. Since retiring, I've only traveled on weekdays, so it felt like experiencing a typical holiday crowd after quite some time. However, considering the number of guests they had to accommodate, extending breakfast hours by an hour instead of just 30 minutes might have been better. Many dishes also weren't replenished in time. On another note, regarding my request made during the Reservation process—staff called in advance to confirm details and handled everything thoroughly and professionally. Having stayed at Dormy Inn accommodations across The whole country before (including Onyado Nono), I expected high standards from Kyoritsu Group's top-tier Dormy Inn class properties—and they delivered on most fronts except for dining this time. The bath area offered moments of solitude late at night with no other guests around; combined with relaxing sauna sessions, it provided an incredibly refreshing experience! The bed's comfort level was excellent as well. In terms of Facilities improvement: upgrading in-room TVs to smart TVs would be appreciated as one final touch. Overall though—despite some hiccups—Onyado Nono Sakura no Yu remains an excellent Hotel!

    Overall, it was great.

This was the third accommodation during our 3-night stay, but here too, there were hairs on the tatami floor in the guest room. This is definitely a key point. While I fully understand the difficulty of the work, I think more attention to detail would be appreciated.

    Perfect for solo female travelers

I chose this Hotel for its convenient location in front of JR Nara Station, perfect for visiting the National Treasure exhibitions in Osaka and Nara. Staying here was reassuring even for a solo female traveler. This Japanese-style Hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere where you can take off your shoes, enjoy a spacious public bath with natural Onsen, and stay in a comfortable Room that isn't very large but cozy. The light and delicious "Yonaki Soba" at night and the breakfast buffet with a wide variety of tasty options were all satisfying. The only thing I wished for was a slightly larger TV in the Room.

    It was relaxing and soothing.

Located near the JR station, making it easy to find. The staff provided warm and reassuring service. Relax and unwind with a soak in the Onsen. Checked in after dinner, allowing me to enjoy the lingering impression of Kofukuji Temple's treasures before a restful sleep. The breakfast buffet the next morning offered a wide variety of dishes, making it hard to choose. I also enjoyed trying tea porridge for the first time. This Hotel is highly recommended for its reasonable price with breakfast included. Staying here during this season made me happy!

The Onsen, location, and facilities exceeded expectations and were excellent.

The Onsen, location, and facilities exceeded expectations (honestly, I had a bias thinking Dormy Inn = business hotel, but I stand corrected). The staff were also very pleasant, making it a highly satisfying stay. This time I stayed alone, but next time when visiting Nara, my family and I are planning to stay here.

    Meals and Tatami

The entire building has tatami flooring, which was greatly appreciated after a tiring day. The breakfast was extremely delicious. Among all the buffet meals I've had, this ranks as one of the best. The Room was comfortable. It's a casual Hotel but perfect for solo travelers. If I visit Nara again, I would definitely stay here!

    Consistently Excellent Accommodation

It has been a great accommodation since it first opened. This time, due to the plan, breakfast was not included, but it still looked as delicious as before. The sauna and onsen were wonderful, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. I will visit again. Thank you very much!

    Very satisfied.

I stayed here for a solo trip. The room was assigned by the hotel, and I got a twin room with a shower booth. The entire accommodation has tatami flooring where you take off your shoes, making it comfortable to walk barefoot and creating a cozy atmosphere. After checking in, I immediately went to the large public bath and enjoyed the open-air Onsen and sauna, which left me feeling refreshed. After bathing, I relaxed with a massage chair and an ice candy. When I returned from dining out, there was a complimentary half-size "Yonaki Soba" ramen service available amidst the lively crowd of international guests—it was delicious! What impressed me most was the breakfast the next morning; featuring Nara specialties like Miwa somen noodles and persimmon leaf sushi along with other delicious dishes that made me eat more than usual—I was thoroughly satisfied. I would love to stay here again when visiting Nara!

    Conveniently located near the station

A Long-Awaited Trip to Nara Chose Nonno, which I liked in Shimane and Tottori, thinking it would be just for sleeping. As I was traveling alone, I was unsure about dinner, but being close to the station with supermarkets and bento shops nearby was truly convenient. The bath was also great. One question I had: instead of a Multiple Night Stay reservation, I booked each night separately under different Plans. As a result, I could use the same Room throughout my stay; however, the welcome sweets were only provided on the first day. There was no explanation regarding this point. It would be helpful if there were clear information such as "Only one welcome sweet per stay regardless of Multiple Night Stay."

    A comfortable accommodation!

After staying at Onyado Nono in Matsue, it became my favorite hotel chain. This time, I searched for a place to stay as a base for sightseeing in Nara and found it conveniently located right in front of JR Nara Station. I booked a "Room Type: Leave it to us" option and was provided with a Queen Room. Although there was no bathtub, only a shower room, the natural onsen public bath made up for it. Complimentary ice pops and massage chairs after bathing were much appreciated. The compact yet clean tatami-floored room allowed me to relax comfortably. Once again, I had an enjoyable stay. Thank you to all the staff!

Convenient accommodation near the station with a large onsen bath, perfect for exploring Nara.

I chose Onyado Nono for its convenient location and onsen large bath, planning to fully enjoy sightseeing in Nara. Initially, I made a reservation for a 2-night stay, but since the Yoshino cherry blossoms were blooming later than usual, I decided to visit Yoshino as well and made a separate reservation for one night. At check-in, they kindly combined it into a 3-night multiple night stay, which was very helpful. While I knew it was close to JR Nara Station, it was also just about a 12-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, making it convenient to go anywhere. Walking between 10,000 and 20,000 steps daily during my trip made the onsen large bath at the accommodation feel absolutely amazing when returning each evening. Foreign tourists also looked truly happy enjoying the onsen—it must have been like a dream moment for those unfamiliar with hot springs. The TV in the room displayed how crowded the bathhouse was so I could time my visits when it wasn’t busy. The entire facility being tatami flooring turned out to be more comfortable than expected; even inside the room there were no slippers needed which added convenience. The bed was wider than standard single beds and having separate areas for the sink and toilet was practical too. With features like replacing bathtubs with showers only where appropriate in layout design choices gave an impression of comfort beyond what you’d expect from just looking at room size alone. Since we left early every day—like departing at 6:20 AM on our Yoshino sightseeing day—I missed out on their highly-rated breakfast which is regrettable! However grocery shopping nearby worked fine thanks due proximity supermarket located ground floor within JR station building while specialty shops available upstairs second level offered additional options conveniently accessible right across street front entrance area itself . Despite accommodation fees being comparable typical business hotel rates overall experience felt much closer akin staying ryokan instead especially given prime location ideal base exploring region thoroughly enjoyable memorable choice indeed !

It was a one-night stay out of two nights in Nara, but I felt that both nights would have been better at this accommodation. I plan to do so next time.

    The room service is subpar.

When I asked the front desk for socks at check-in, I was told to "use the ones in the Room." However, I specifically approached them because I needed them immediately. Additionally, when I went to the front desk to request a free cup of noodles after missing the Night Ramen service time at the restaurant, there was no one at the desk. Instead, loud conversations and laughter could be heard from staff in the back. Even when I called out "Excuse me," they seemed too engrossed in their conversation to notice. A contractor who happened to be on-site for Facility maintenance kindly entered the front area and called a staff member for me. Despite having new Facilities, my stay was disappointing due to poor staff service quality.
