    When my mother was too tired to walk, the staff kindly accommodated an early check-in, and we were able to complete our trip safely. The location and Facility were both excellent, and we were very satisfied.

    Thank you to the front desk staff.

    The check-in interaction with the female staff member was very smooth. She spoke clearly and accurately about my preferred view Room, dinner options, and the Hotel membership app. When I entered the Room, I remembered I had stayed here before. You can see just a small part of the castle. It really felt like I was in Matsuyama. The restaurant she recommended was a great choice—loved by locals, delicious, and reasonably priced. When I come to Matsuyama again, I’ll probably choose this Hotel and that restaurant.

    Cleaning was disappointing. The Room is nice.

    I often stay at Daiwa Roynet Hotel because many of the Rooms have separate toilets and baths, and many of the Rooms are clean. In this Room, there were several coffee stains on the sink that came off easily when wiped with a tissue, and there was a lot of hair left behind. That was disappointing. The location and the Room layout were good.

    Comfortable and easy to spend time in.

    I have stayed here several times in Matsuyama. This time, the Room had a great view, and I enjoyed my stay while looking out over Okaido. As many Reviews mention, the staff working at this Hotel are truly wonderful. The front desk staff maintain an appropriate distance from guests while still being attentive and considerate. The housekeeping staff are the same. I would love to stay again.

    A separate bathroom for added comfort.

    Recently, I look for Hotels with a separate bathroom, and that was the deciding factor this time as well. The 3-in-1 unit bath is becoming less appealing. Other than that, it’s a perfectly standard Business Hotel.

    Every Daiwa Roynet Hotel offers a high level of satisfaction.

    This time, we were upgraded to a twin room, which made our stay very satisfying. We have stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel in various locations, and it has never disappointed us anywhere.

    The Room bathroom was very comfortable to use, just like at home. The staff were also very courteous, and I would love to stay here again.

    Great location.

    Thank you very much. The Room was clean, which was great. It was very convenient, with the Botchan Train station and the downtown area right in front of the property. There were also plenty of nearby coin-operated parking lots, so parking was not a problem.

    Thank you very much. The Room was clean, there was a convenience store nearby, and the downtown area was right in front of us, so we had no trouble finding a place for dinner. There are plenty of coin-operated parking lots nearby, so arriving by car is not a problem. The Botchan Train station is also right in front of the property, making it convenient for visiting Dogo Onsen.

    The amenities are well-equipped, the Room is clean, and above all, the location is excellent.

    This was my second stay, and the parking service was handled smoothly. Although there were no Diamond Member benefits, I was provided with a room on the top floor of the new building facing the city, allowing me to enjoy the night view. The room size was standard but clean. Additionally, the amenities were well-prepared, and the coffee tasted better than that from the restaurant. Reflecting Ehime Prefecture's charm, bath salts inspired by "Dogo Onsen" were provided, and breakfast included local specialties such as "Tai-meshi" (sea bream rice) and "Jakoten" (fried fish cake).

    Reliable Hotel

    I use this place for both business trips and private stays. With Dogo Onsen being difficult to book due to inbound tourism, this is reasonably priced, well-located, and comes with a bathtub—very convenient. The price has increased compared to a few years ago, which can be seen as either understandable or unfortunate... But I will continue to use it in the future.

    Ehime Business Trip

    I stayed at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel during my business trip to Ehime. I have used this hotel several times. The Room is spacious, and the bathroom is also large, which was very satisfying. The breakfast quality was high, and I enjoyed it very much. I would like to stay here again on my next business trip.

    The location was excellent.

    The area around Matsuyama Station had few shops and was noticeably dark at night. Daiwa Roynet Hotel was within walking distance to tourist spots like Matsuyama Castle, and the city tram station nearby provided easy access to Dogo Onsen. The room was clean, the cost-performance was excellent, and I was very satisfied. Thank you!

    Clean Hotel

    I used this accommodation for sightseeing at Imabari Castle and Matsuyama Castle. The Room in the annex was very beautiful and satisfying. I was also very pleased with the separate bath and toilet. The restaurant space for breakfast felt a bit small. Thank you to all the staff!

    A bit disappointing

    Clean and spacious rooms with a sense of cleanliness. Conveniently located next to Okaido, making it a reasonable Hotel option. I often stay here when visiting Matsuyama. However, this time the Hotel's parking lot was full, and I was directed to an external parking facility. The staff explained that one day's parking would be free, but at checkout, I was told that all external parking fees must be paid by myself. Although I mentioned the discrepancy in explanation, there was no resolution before leaving, which left me with an unpleasant experience. It's unfortunate.

    It was excellent.

    The Facility and Room were very clean. The bathroom was impressive, providing a sense of comfort like being at home. The amenities were abundant and excellent. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and other amenities were from DHC products, which were very good. I even wanted to purchase them. The staff's service was great, and the self-check-in and check-out process made it convenient without much hassle.

    The Honor Student of Okaido

    For a conference held during the Obon holiday, I traveled to Matsuyama City in Shikoku. Arriving on the last flight, I took a bus to Okaido. The Hotel is just a 1-minute walk from there. After taking the elevator to the second floor for check-in, I was assigned a room on the 11th floor of the Annex, possibly because I am a member of Roynet Club. The Room faced the main street and offered great views—city lights at night and mountain ranges during the day. A smart TV was mounted on the wall, allowing access to YouTube and other apps with login options. The newly built Room featured a clean three-part separated bathroom where I could relax in a bath before sleeping peacefully. Being on an upper floor meant that noise from trams running below was barely noticeable. While almost flawless, one minor issue was that part of the carpet near an interior step was stained; cleaning or replacing it would enhance comfort further. The next morning started pleasantly as I brushed my teeth at the sink and discovered my voice echoed through its drain—a fun surprise that turned into an impromptu karaoke session while brushing! Breakfast options included an Italian restaurant and Japanese dining area on the first floor of another building; our Plan designated us for Japanese cuisine. Beautifully arranged traditional side dishes were served in wooden boxes alongside self-serve seafood bowls as part of breakfast offerings. Though unexpected for breakfast, my fish-loving wife enjoyed it thoroughly—mixing tuna sashimi with raw egg (for tamago kake gohan) added richness to her meal. We stayed for two nights total; with its proximity to both conference venues (within walking distance) and convenient access via tram stops or airport buses nearby, this Hotel is ideal for first-time visitors exploring Matsuyama!

    My regular accommodation in Matsuyama.

    The layout of the bathroom, shower, and toilet is great. The Room is spacious with a nice mountain view. It’s close to Okaido, with plenty of nearby parking lots, and both a convenience store and Starbucks are just around the corner. Check-in and check-out are quick and efficient. You can choose the number of card keys you need. There are many staff members, including a kind gentleman. The elevator displays breakfast crowd predictions (number of people), which is a clever idea. Prices during long weekends are too high, but I think I’ll stay here again in the future!

    This was my first stay, and I am extremely satisfied. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was very filling! The streetcar stop is conveniently located nearby. Being close to the arcade made it easy to use. I would love to stay here again if I visit Matsuyama!

    We stayed as a group of four friends. The location is excellent, with the Hotel right next to Iyo Railway's Okaido Station, allowing access to Dogo Onsen in about 10 minutes. Matsuyama Castle is also just behind and within walking distance.

    Delightful Breakfast

    I have stayed at Daiwa Roynet hotels in several cities, but the breakfast at Salvatore in Matsuyama was particularly impressive. The menu is extensive and delicious, offering great satisfaction. Options include white rice, local tai-meshi, chilled soup-style dishes, somen noodles, soup curry, pasta, and a variety of bread. The French toast is also delightful. I aimed to try all the side dishes but had to give up halfway. The staff's attentive service made for a very pleasant experience.

    There is a coin-operated parking lot next to the front of the Hotel, but it is not the Hotel's parking lot. The parking lot is located at the back of the Hotel, but there are no guide signs, making it difficult to find.

    I have used Daiwa Roynet accommodations several times in various locations and always felt assured staying there, so I chose it again for my trip to Matsuyama. The meals, room, location, and staff service were good; however, the cleanliness was very disappointing. Firstly, the desk was not wiped down and was covered with water stains. Under the chair, I found remnants of medication (Loxonin) and hair oil left by a previous guest. In the bathroom as well, there were about three items left in the washing area. The cleaning quality this time was the worst among all my stays so far. Since I noticed these issues after dozing off post-check-in, I did not file a complaint at that time. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyable. Only the cleaning aspect was regrettable; stricter checks after cleaning would be advisable.

    I stayed in the main...

    I stayed in the main building after a long time, but I felt the shower water pressure was weaker than I remembered. The new building might be better, but the downside is that you have to pass by the smoking area to reach your Room. The WiFi connection remains poor as usual for Daiwa Roynet quality. Since there are few Hotels in Matsuyama with separate bath and toilet facilities, I will probably visit again.

    I had a great trip.

    The ceiling shower in the bath was very pleasant. The breakfast was also delicious, and we found a great property. The location is good, making it perfect for a stay in Matsuyama. PS: Dinner was also delicious.

    Stayed in the annex. The laundry status on the TV was constantly displayed as "Under Maintenance," so minus 1 point. However, the laundry was operating without any issues.

    It is a reliable Hotel. It is excellent for business use. Also, the location is good, so I would like to use this place when visiting Matsuyama. The Room faced the main street, so during a web meeting at night, I could hear the sound of the streetcar. However, it didn't bother me that much.

    Even with frequent stays, if not in the app, the response is sloppy.

    When I presented my member card with points as usual at check-in, I was informed that it could not be used because it had transitioned to an app from December. I mainly use my company phone and found the check-in process convenient, so I told the front desk staff that I did not intend to install the app just to transfer points. As a result, whereas previously I only needed to sign at check-in, I was required to fill in my name, address, phone number, etc., because I was not using the app, and was told to do so every time thereafter. During my stay the previous month, there was no explanation, and I have never experienced a hotel where I am required to fill in details every time I stay, even if I stay multiple times a month, just because I am not using the app. Even though I have stayed dozens of times in total at all Daiwa Roynet chain hotels, I feel this treatment lacks basic service spirit and may not qualify to be listed on IKYU. The hotel is conveniently located for work-related reasons, but even if there are front desk staff who provide good service, there was a previous issue with noise that was not addressed at all, so I feel that encountering low-level staff can lead to unpleasant experiences.
