    Is this premium?

    At check-in, I was told I would be guided to a slightly larger room than the one I reserved, but I doubt it was actually bigger. It didn’t seem different from the room shown in the reservation photos. Instead, it was located right next to the elevator and noisy, which made me feel uneasy. The bed cover had noticeable stains, and the towels looked worn out—are these conditions typical even for premium-class rooms? If I had booked a lower-grade room, perhaps my expectations would have been more aligned. On a positive note, breakfast was delicious, and the staff at both the breakfast venue and throughout were very attentive and kind.

    Great location

    There was no explanation about the upgrade, but I stayed in a corner Room on an upper floor. It was comfortable. The showerhead and hairdryer being ReFa products were a nice touch. When I went for breakfast at 7:00, there were about five groups waiting in line. The next morning, I went at 6:30 and got in right away. You can enjoy Hokkaido gourmet dishes, but honestly, the lamb barbecue (Jingisukan) was not to my taste. The pancakes were small and easy to eat but felt slightly undercooked. The variety of rice balls and the broth next to them were delicious. It would have been nice if vegetable juice was available among the drinks.

    The Facility is outdated.

    The Facility is outdated, especially the bathroom, which is in poor condition. There are visible black stains and possibly mold on the bathroom floor, bathtub edges, and sink edges. It feels unhygienic, making it impossible to relax in the bathtub despite its presence. As for breakfast, while it is advertised as "the ultimate breakfast," it feels just average in both variety and taste. Lastly, although amenities are provided at this Hotel, there are no tea bags or drip coffee packs available. If you want to enjoy a cup of coffee after sightseeing or before bed, you'll need to go to a convenience store. Please keep this in mind.

    The ultimate surprise you won't find anywhere else.

    "Is this... really our room?" On the last night of our trip to Hokkaido, during check-in, the staff casually mentioned: "We've prepared a slightly larger room for you than what you reserved." Hearing it was just a small upgrade, we honestly didn’t expect much. But as we stood in front of the door on the top floor and saw "Executive Suite" written next to the room number, my friend and I exchanged glances. And then, as soon as we opened the door— "This is... way too spacious!" My friend couldn’t help but exclaim at the vast space that unfolded before us. The day before this stay, I had been in Otaru. I stayed at a historic hotel along the canal and enjoyed Otaru’s charming streets and fireworks festival. However, with rushed service from staff and noticeable stains on sheets, my traveling companion seemed less than thrilled. Just when I thought to myself, "This trip to Hokkaido feels somewhat underwhelming," New Otani Inn Sapporo turned everything around on our final night. The expansive room featured high-quality sofas bathed in soft lighting. Outside the window was Sapporo's stunning night view. The serene atmosphere felt like a quiet residence amidst an urban setting. Nearby was a water dispenser where we could enjoy delicious water throughout our stay. A cup brewed with their coffee machine had an exquisite aroma—perfect for waking up in the morning. Amenities included Bulk Homme products while both hairdryer and showerhead were by ReFa—every detail reflected thoughtful choices. The bathroom was adorned with marble tiles reminiscent of an elegant European noble estate. Surrounded by gentle lighting while soaking quietly in its bathtub made all travel fatigue melt away. What surprised me most was how perfect their pillows were! It’s rare for me to sleep so deeply—I didn’t wake up even once during the night—and my friend laughed saying so too over breakfast. Speaking of breakfast—the pancakes! Made luxuriously with ricotta cheese, mascarpone cheese, and cream cheese; crispy on top yet fluffy inside—they were divine! Apparently cooked for 7 minutes per side (14 minutes total), they came served with honey-infused whipped cream that melted beautifully over them—each bite brought pure delight! I visit Hokkaido twice every year from Tokyo but have never wanted so strongly to return specifically because of an accommodation until now. Everything about this stay was perfect—from start to finish—with heartfelt gratitude!

    Thank you for the other day. The Room was changed to a twin, and the spacious bath was very comfortable and excellent. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. I would love to stay again.

    First Stay

    First stay at the accommodation. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was enjoyable with various creative options, all of which were delicious. However, during a midsummer trip, the refrigerator was inconvenient as it couldn't even fit a 500ml bottle. Additionally, there was no ice machine on the floor we stayed on, so we had to go out multiple times to buy drinks. For breakfast reservations, when reserving it suddenly showed a waitlist of 15 groups, making it unclear how long we would have to wait. It took some time to understand the turnover rate (though in reality, we hardly waited). For first-time guests, the system might be confusing; more specific explanations during check-in would have been helpful.

    Comfortable Hotel

    I stayed for one night in a Twin Room with my child. While the building itself felt a bit dated, the room was very clean and comfortable. However, the noise from the air conditioning was noticeable during sleep. The buffet breakfast the next day had an impressive variety of options, and I was especially delighted to find ramen available. Since I couldn't try Sapporo ramen during my trip, it made for a wonderful breakfast experience. I would definitely love to stay at this Hotel again!

    A slightly older but comfortable Hotel

    Opened in the late Showa era, it was originally Hotel New Otani Sapporo. The Rooms are spacious and generally designed with comfort in mind. However, services and amenities are simplified, and there was no bottled water provided in the Room. Considering its location within walking distance to Sapporo Station, Odori, and Susukino, it offers great value for its price. Breakfast lived up to the New Otani standard—while not extravagant, it was excellent in both quality and quantity.

    It was a comfortable and lovely Hotel.

    The Room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, with small portions allowing us to try many dishes, which was very satisfying. The soup curry and yogurt were particularly delicious. The staff provided attentive service and noticed our needs promptly, making our stay more comfortable than expected. The ReFa showerhead is great for hair care; however, if you prefer high-quality hairdryers, it might be better to bring your own.

    We stayed for 5 days with my parents, a total of 3 people.

    The breakfast was included every day for five days, with a wide variety and very delicious, which was very satisfying. The location was quite good as there was a downtown area within walking distance. However, I went with the image of the New Otani in Tokyo, so it felt like an old business hotel, and it was disappointing that the toilet seat was cold and not a washlet. Also, one of the dryers was out of order. The newspaper was also charged, which was different from my image, and when it got quiet, the sound of the subway echoed every time it passed, which bothered me for 2 to 3 days.
