    It’s great—very close to Hitaru.

    This was my first stay. I chose this Hotel because there was a concert at Hitaru, and the location is so convenient that you can’t get lost. Check-in was crowded. The Room was spacious, the TV was large, and the shower head was amazing. Perhaps because the Facility is older, I noticed an odor from the plumbing in the sink/bathroom/toilet area, but I rested comfortably. At breakfast, you can check how busy it is via a QR code. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted great. We were seated at a counter facing outside, and hydrangeas were blooming right in front of us, so we enjoyed a pleasant time together. It said takeaway coffee was available, but perhaps because it was after 9:30, it had run out—too bad! I’m glad I could make an affordable Reservation here. This has become a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

    Despite the high price, the Accommodation feels cheap.

    The Facility, Room, and meals were all below average. The price was high, including the parking fee. I won’t use it again.

    The bathroom has not been cleaned.

    We stayed here for a family trip. The bathroom was extremely dirty (urine splashes on the toilet seat, toothpaste drips on the floor, and hair), so we called and asked for it to be cleaned. After that, there was still about 3 cm of water left in the electric kettle, which made us wonder whether proper cleaning had been done at all—perhaps only the sheets and towels were changed. Since it is a long-established Hotel, we had high expectations, but unfortunately our stay was not comfortable.

    It was comfortable.

    I stayed here for a concert in Makomanai. I was upgraded to a top-floor Room, and my friend and I were thrilled. Some of the Facility is a bit dated, but everything was very clean and we were very satisfied. I would like to stay here again next time.

    The only choice in Sapporo.

    I stayed in Sapporo mostly by myself throughout June, and close to the last day my family of three stayed here as well. This used to be New Otani Sapporo, and the Room is spacious in a classic city-hotel style and has been beautifully renovated, so I had no complaints at all. Breakfast is also wonderful—you can enjoy as many of the famous pancakes as you like, and it’s a great way to start the day feeling happy. I’ve seen some comments about the age of certain bathroom fixtures, but on the higher floors I was soothed by the mist setting with a ReFa shower head. On lower floors, it’s a two-handle mixer tap type; however, perhaps because of that, the water pressure is extremely strong and you can fill the bathtub quickly. Combined with the shower head, I could even massage my legs in the shower, which personally left me very satisfied. I plan to stay here again whenever I visit Sapporo in the future.

    Enjoy nearby attractions.

    Thank you for accommodating our last-minute Reservation. This was our second stay, following last year, and the location is excellent—we can reach our destination without much walking. It’s conveniently located about halfway between Sapporo Station and Odori Station. The staff’s communication at check-in was appropriate and left a positive impression. The breakfast buffet selection was great, and our whole family was satisfied.

    Great value for money.

    I stayed here again because it’s close to the station and reasonably priced. However, the bathtub was still covered in mold, the showerhead had heavy limescale buildup, and the bed sheets had visible stains (even though they were supposedly cleaned), so my satisfaction was low. If you just need a place to sleep, the location near the station is convenient.

    There is an issue with the bathtub drainage.

    I chose this property because it is close to both Sapporo Station and Odori, also near hitaru, and has a fully equipped parking area. The Facility is old, but it was well cleaned and the Room was spacious, so I was satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the bath drained slowly. Also, in the coin laundry, it was disappointing that there were too few washing machines for the number of rooms. Overall, I am very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Upgrade

    I had reserved a 24 m² Room, but when I entered, it had been upgraded to 48 m²—I was pleasantly surprised. The Room, service, and amenities were all excellent; it was a wonderful Hotel.

    Within walking distance of JR Sapporo Station.

    I stayed for two nights. Room cleaning is provided every other day. Towel replacement and trash collection are available if you hang the sign on the door. I would have liked the bathroom to be cleaned daily. I was happy they provided a body-washing sponge. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. I appreciated that breakfast starts early, but around 7:00 a.m. it was crowded and full. The Room was from before the renovation, so it felt a bit dated. I was surprised that the toilet seat was cold. In the Room, there were only powdered green tea sticks available.

    If you have enough time, I recommend taking the bus from the airport.

    I happened to get a great deal. It felt a bit far from the station, but although it takes longer than the train, you can take a bus into the city at a relaxed pace and get off at the stop near the Hotel—it's about a 2–3 minute walk. The Room was a twin used by one person, and the bathroom was spacious, which was nice. I had no particular complaints about the food. I’m not a fan of soup curry. The ramen was fairly good, and everything else was tasty. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

    Why such a high rating???

    I mistook it for Hotel New Otani because the logo looks similar. Even though I paid nearly 70,000 yen per night and reserved a premium Room, the table was dirty and the bathroom smelled like sewage. There was also dried yellow grime on the sink, so I asked to change Rooms. The bathroom felt like an old-fashioned guesthouse from decades ago—I was shocked that this is called a premium Room. The next Room was a twin. The beds were sagging and gave me back pain. It didn’t feel worth about 30,000 yen per night at all. The bathroom and bathtub were also not properly cleaned, and there was a particularly bad odor coming from the curtain. There was a deafening noise every few minutes—was it the subway? I wondered if there was construction at night, but does it get even noisier on lower floors? Breakfast wasn’t good either, and even when I went at 8:30, they were handing out numbered tickets and I didn’t get to eat until an hour and a half later. The location is also far from the underground shopping area, and “Exit 22” mentioned in the directions requires climbing what feels like endless stairs. I couldn’t find any value in this stay—so why are the ratings so high? I trusted IKYU, but I learned that all kinds of hotels are listed there too.

    Affordable

    Even though I had made an inexpensive Reservation, I was pleasantly surprised and truly grateful to be upgraded to a higher-grade Room, and I was able to relax and rest very well. The breakfast felt a bit underwhelming. All the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. I hope to stay again if I have the chance.

    The Facility is old, but overall it offers great value for money.

    Breakfast featured many Hokkaido-inspired items, and the wide variety was great. If possible, I would like to see a few more dessert options. Reason: There was an automatic coffee machine in the breakfast venue that grinds the beans each time before serving and can make about six types of coffee (espresso, cappuccino, café au lait, etc.), so I wanted to enjoy coffee with dessert after the meal. This time, the only dessert I could enjoy with coffee was pancakes. Overall, I think it offers excellent value for money.

    The next morning, due to heavy snow, JR trains and buses to New Chitose Airport were suspended, leaving me unsure of what to do. I rushed to the front desk and asked for advice: "What do people usually do in situations like this?" They suggested either calling a taxi through a ride-hailing app or giving up. Since my flight was scheduled to depart, giving up wasn’t an option. Thankfully, I managed to arrange a taxi and made it in time. While I understand this might be common in Hokkaido during winter, I had hoped for slightly more reliable support.

    Used during a business trip.

    Although I was not very familiar with Sapporo, the kind and attentive guidance from the front desk staff allowed me to make it to my business meeting on time. Thank you for your hospitable service. The Facility (Room) was also well-cleaned, making my stay comfortable.

    Affordable and highly satisfying.

    I found New Otani Inn Sapporo for a sudden stay. It was affordable, and the breakfast buffet was excellent! The location is close to the city, which is great. However, the parking lot was full, and I was directed to another parking area that was hard to find and inconvenient... The affordability and comfort were perfect, so only the parking situation was a bit disappointing.

    Quantity of Coffee

    We recently stayed for 2 nights as a group of 2. Overall, we were satisfied, but we found it strange that the free coffee in the Room was only provided for one night (2 servings). We purchased additional coffee from the vending machine in the elevator hall for the second night. It would be appreciated if coffee could be provided for each night's stay. Additionally, cups and other items were not replaced, so we washed and reused them ourselves.

    Thank you for accommodating us during our trip with my mother, who has difficulty walking.

    I stayed here with my mother, who has difficulty walking, for a two-person trip. Since we couldn't use a car, we walked from Sapporo Station to the hotel via the underground path or above ground during warmer times. Even at my 80-year-old mother's slow pace with her cane, it took less than 15 minutes to reach the hotel. Inside the accommodation, it was calm and relaxing, and the staff provided attentive service. With no steps or obstacles, my mother could stay safely without worry about falling. The location is convenient, it's quiet, and breakfast was delicious. My mother and I have decided that this will be our only choice whenever we visit Hokkaido again.

    It was very comfortable.

    On the day, I was upgraded to a top-floor room from the reserved room. The spaciousness and facilities were first-class, and the bed's firmness was just right for a comfortable sleep. What delighted me most was that the showerhead was ReFa.

    Established Hotel

    The Facility is slightly dated, but the staff's service is excellent. The breakfast has few sashimi options, but the classic dishes are very delicious.

    A compact Hotel is fine.

    Stayed in late October. Enjoyed a 3-night, 4-day autumn trip to popular Sapporo with my spouse starting on Monday. Booked early and got a good deal with immediate payment. Conveniently located near the elevator on the 7th floor. Had breakfast all three days, which offered a wide variety of options. The soup curry, miso ramen, omelet, and Japanese-Western side dishes were delicious. No fresh seafood available though. While the toilet and bath are of an older style, the room overall was clean and had no issues. The shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable to use. Walking distance from the station is also a plus!

    The building may be ...

    The building may be aged, but the Room environment was excellent, and I could sleep surrounded by a wonderful fragrance when I got into bed. The breakfast was outstanding. The made-to-order omelets and mini pancakes prepared right in front of me, as well as the kelp broth, were incredibly delicious. The Hotel staff provided polite and calm service, making me want to stay here again.

    Booked the cheapest hotel in Sapporo for a sudden one-night stay.

    I urgently needed a one-night stay in Sapporo for personal reasons, so I searched for an affordable Hotel and found a Plan offering a discounted stay through Sapporo's hometown tax program. I had no complaints overall, but during this season, Hotels with central air conditioning can feel warm for locals! As expected, the cooling system wasn't effective, so I slept with the window open. If, like modern city Hotels, each Room had its own air conditioning system with adjustable temperature settings, I would give it 5 stars... Since this was a sudden Reservation, perhaps the Room wasn't ready in time, but I was upgraded to a spacious Room and had a comfortable stay. Thank you to the front desk staff!

    As expected from a long-established Hotel.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. I stayed at this hotel with a friend on our first trip together in decades. When we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite room. Upon entering the room, my friend and I were amazed by its spaciousness. Thanks to the comfortable beds and pillows, we ended up chatting away and lost track of time but still had a great night's sleep until morning. The location is excellent—about a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station, with the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building and Clock Tower just steps away, and Susukino about 15 minutes on foot. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes; I wanted to try everything but couldn’t finish it all. Unfortunately, I had to skip the miso ramen because I was too full, though my friend tried it and said it was absolutely delicious! Staying at this hotel on the last day of our long-awaited trip made for an unforgettable experience. As they say, "All's well that ends well," and this stay truly capped off our journey perfectly. I look forward to staying here again when visiting Sapporo in the future—thank you so much!

    You can enjoy access to a special lounge, and the front desk staff kindly suggested destinations. I was very satisfied with the Room as well. I would love to stay again.

    Is this premium?

    At check-in, I was told I would be guided to a slightly larger room than the one I reserved, but I doubt it was actually bigger. It didn’t seem different from the room shown in the reservation photos. Instead, it was located right next to the elevator and noisy, which made me feel uneasy. The bed cover had noticeable stains, and the towels looked worn out—are these conditions typical even for premium-class rooms? If I had booked a lower-grade room, perhaps my expectations would have been more aligned. On a positive note, breakfast was delicious, and the staff at both the breakfast venue and throughout were very attentive and kind.
