    Enjoy an open-air bath in the heart of the city

    There is an Onsen with an open-air bath on the top floor of a high-rise building right next to Oita Station, offering a panoramic view of the city. Breakfast was delicious, and the buffet with a boxed set allowed me to choose my portion size while enjoying locally sourced ingredients and regional dishes. The Room size was average, but it was clean and well maintained. This time I traveled solo, but next time I’d like to come with my family.

    The bath is very relaxing.

    The Onsen was very relaxing. My skin felt silky smooth. With this location right by the station, the bath was outstanding. While looking out at the mountains and Beppu Bay, I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace. This Hotel feels like it sits between a high-end Hotel and a Business Hotel. The Room had some slightly dated areas, but breakfast was delicious as well. Oita local dishes, pudding, and Ryukyu-style marinated sashimi were all very tasty.

    Convenient!

    Thank you as always. It’s convenient and clean. The open-air bath has been renovated, and there is now a sauna. One slight disappointment is that the bathing hours are short. Also, the water in the Room washbasin didn’t drain well. Other than that, the staff were very attentive and it was comfortable. I look forward to staying again!

    The mountain sauna is amazing.

    The Yama sauna was great. The hot stone spa was also excellent. The food was good, too.\nHowever, the staff at the bath reception desk felt unfriendly. That was the only downside.

    Great location with parking and adjacent shopping facilities. Close to the station. Also features an open-air bath. Overall, excellent value for money. Wonderful.

    A sauna has been installed in the open-air bath area, but because the shower is poorly located, most guests enter the Onsen without showering, which is unhygienic.

    I stayed again because I really love Tenku-no-Yu. Even though it is under renovation and there was no open-air bath, I could still use the hot stone sauna and the indoor bath, which was wonderful. I also appreciate that it is available only to overnight guests. The Room was functional, easy to use, and comfortable. Breakfast was great as always, including the delicious pudding; however, on the second morning we went a bit later and my husband’s favorite marinated tuna was already gone, which was very disappointing. Looking forward to it next time!

    The breakfast is excellent.

    There was a wide variety of dishes, including torimeshi and dango-jiru, and everything was delicious. I was very satisfied, especially considering the Accommodation cost. I’d love to stay again next time.

    Comfortable Hotel

    I was impressed by how attentive you are to every detail. Although we didn’t have any meals, I’m sure they must be thoughtfully prepared. All of the staff were very pleasant, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. It was a shame that the open-air bath was under renovation and we couldn’t use it.

    Comfortable!

    Used this Hotel while returning home for my parents’ memorial service. Since it is directly connected to the station building, it was easy to use the parking lot and convenient for shopping and dining out. The Hotel staff’s guidance was polite and easy to understand. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and I had a very comfortable stay. The attached Onsen was chic and well stocked with amenities. However, since the hair dryers there are likely used more frequently than the one in the Room, I would like them to check more often whether the hair dryers are working properly. For breakfast, because the other buffet options are substantial, I think the boxed set meal could be optional upon request. Overall, it was highly convenient and comfortable, so I would definitely like to stay again next time.

    We had a very comfortable stay.

    This time, we were able to stay at a lower rate because the Onsen was under construction. As a thoughtful gesture, we received Onsen bath salts and were able to relax in the bathtub in our Room. The Room was just as spacious as last time and very clean—no complaints. Next time, I’d like to stay again after the Onsen construction is finished.

    Convenient and comfortable

    Located atop a commercial complex adjacent to JR Oita Station, it’s an excellent location—after arriving, you can drop off your luggage and head straight out for sightseeing or shopping. The Room and bathroom are spacious, and the calm atmosphere makes for a comfortable stay. Breakfast includes a buffet plus a set main dish, with local specialties such as chicken dishes, dango-jiru soup, and kabosu ramen. Desserts like pudding and almond tofu were also available—there was a good range of choices, and everything was delicious. If I have the chance to visit Oita City again, I will stay here again.

    I stayed here for a concert. I stayed in March and posted that I would like to visit again if I had the chance, and happily that opportunity came at the end of May. It’s a comfortable Hotel close to the venue, and my friend who traveled with me was very pleased as well. I hope I will have another chance to stay again.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    I always stay here. This time, unfortunately, the Onsen Facility was under renovation, so only the bathroom in the Room was available. However, the front desk staff kindly arranged a high-floor Room as I had requested last time as well, and I had a comfortable stay as always with a great view and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious too. I will stay again. Thank you very much.

    It was a clean and very lovely Hotel.

    I stayed for one night at the beginning of Golden Week. The hotel is conveniently connected directly to the station. The top-floor spa (stone sauna) was unavailable due to construction, but the large public bath was open, and I was very satisfied. The interior design by Eiji Mitooka is wonderful—Japanese-modern with plenty of wood in the guest rooms and lobby. I especially loved the retro lighting, which reminded me of trains like Nanatsuboshi, making my stay even more enjoyable. The front desk staff were also very pleasant, and I would like to stay here again when I visit Oita.

    We were very satisfied with how comfortable the Hotel was.

    Convenient access from the parking lot and a pleasant check-in made for a great start. The Hotel isn’t flashy, but its cleanliness and the well-coordinated fabrics, furniture, and walls create a refined, comfortable atmosphere. We were provided with a Deluxe Room, which also wasn’t overly ornate, yet we loved the subtle details—like the paint on the entrance door. We were also impressed that the Room air conditioner is built into the wall, with a lattice cover finished in a matching fabric tone. The swallow design on the washroom floor was adorable as well. The Room felt just right—not too large or too small—and gave us a sense of ease throughout our stay. My husband and I kept saying, “This is so relaxing.” The fabrics are excellent. Even the towels had the Hotel name on them, which feels rare these days. Breakfast was delicious, and overall it’s great value for money. If I had to mention one small downside: the slippers... If they could be upgraded a bit more, this would be a perfect Hotel. We’d love to stay again.

    By chance, I stayed here the night before a celebration more than ten years ago, and this time I stayed for a memorial service. The front desk staff told me it was shortly after the Hotel first opened, and I felt it was a mysterious connection that brought me back to the same Hotel again. The calm decor helped me relax and reminded me of fond memories of Nanatsuboshi. The Seki mackerel at dinner was delicious, and I was also happy to try horse sashimi, which I never see where I live. The Nepalese staff member who served us left a strong impression—like Japanese people from an earlier era. If I have the opportunity, I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    It was a very comfortable Hotel.

    I’m planning to stay here for a girls’ trip soon, so my husband and I visited in advance as part of a trip. At check-in, we were told a larger Room was available and were upgraded. The Room was clean, and the meals were delicious. However, compared with Beppu, the Onsen temperature and water quality felt a bit lower, which was disappointing. As expected from JR, the Hotel was very comfortable and we were very satisfied. I’d like to book again for our upcoming girls’ trip.

    3-day vacation

    Everything was great. The hot springs on the 21st floor were especially wonderful! It’s also close to the mall and the JR station. I really appreciated that it has individual room air conditioning rather than central air conditioning—it was very convenient for me.

    The rooftop spa was disappointing.

    This is a great Hotel that I always stay at when visiting Oita. The main reasons are its convenient location near the station and the excellent hot-bath Facility. However, this time the weather was bad, and the rooftop open-air bath I was looking forward to was closed for two days, which was very disappointing. I understand closing it during a blizzard, but it remained closed the next day as well, with an announcement saying it was “dangerous due to snow accumulation and icy conditions underfoot.” In reality, there was no snow or ice. I came all the way from the Kanto area looking forward to it, so this was extremely disappointing. I would appreciate more flexible decision-making. Also, since the women’s sauna is set to 80°C (and in practice feels closer to about 76°C), I cannot recommend it for sauna lovers. I was told that men’s is set to 90°C while women’s is set to 80°C. I asked if the temperature could be adjusted but was told it could not be done. I hope this will be reconsidered.

    The location is excellent. Cleaning is sloppy.

    I was informed in advance that housekeeping would be eco-friendly, but I still expected used cups to be replaced and coffee waste to be thrown away. When I stay at a Hotel, I always check the back of the air purifier. In well-cleaned Hotels, the water tank and the filter on the back are spotless, but this one was packed with dust... I ended up wiping off a large amount of dust with tissues. I hope this will be improved. The Onsen was very relaxing, and the location was excellent as it is close to the station.

    The service is excellent.

    The customer service at this hotel is exceptional. Even though I have only stayed here about 5 or 6 times, when I requested disposable slippers during check-in, they informed me that they had already prepared them in my room. I was truly impressed! I understand how challenging it must be to provide personalized service at a hotel of this size, and I am deeply grateful. I have already made an accommodation reservation for my next stay.     Sky Bath

    The bathwater in the tub was lukewarm. The open-air bath was also lukewarm due to the low temperature, making it cold after getting out of the bath. It would be appreciated if the water temperature could be adjusted according to the weather. The Room was clean, and the bed was comfortable to sleep on.
