    I expected it to be ...

    I expected it to be crowded, but it was much quieter than I thought and very comfortable. Overall, it was excellent. I’d like to stay again. What I liked ・You can leave your luggage before check-in (from 1:00 PM) ・You can use the changing room and pool even before check-in ・Within walking distance from Onjuku Station ・The food is delicious ・Close to the beach ・The guests are calm and respectful What could be improved ・Before check-in, you can use the large public bath changing room, but it gets extremely hot and humid. The men’s side seemed more comfortable, with a separate changing room that had air conditioning. ・There is a shower for after returning from the beach, but there was only one so we had to wait in line. Later we found another one in the basement, but the water pressure there was far too weak. ・The large public bath changing room is small

    The dry sauna was unavailable.

    The dry sauna (men's bath), which I was looking forward to, had a "Under Maintenance" sign and was unavailable throughout my stay, which was very disappointing. I booked because of the dry sauna, so it would have been helpful if this information had been displayed on the website or communicated at the time of reservation. Other than that, the view from the room, the paid stone sauna, breakfast, and seafood at Shiratorimaru in front of the hotel were excellent.

    The staff's response was reassuring.

    We stayed here to create summer vacation memories. The location was perfect, with the beach right in front of us. We were able to use the Hotel's pool even before check-in, making great use of our time. We stayed with four children, including a toddler, and felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. While the pool was too deep for the toddler, it was a good size for both adults and children to enjoy. At night, we had fun with fireworks on the beach. The Hotel provided a fireworks set and even took care of the cleanup, which was very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good variety, making it easy to choose, and we enjoyed a delicious meal while overlooking the terrace with the pool. One small concern was that the toilet in our Room was quite narrow, and my head kept hitting the wall (laughs). Thank you for taking care of us. We look forward to staying again and trying out a different Room next time!

    A family-friendly accommodation ideal for beachgoers.

    The ocean was great, with the vast sea right in front of us. However, this is not a Resort Hotel designed for enjoying a hotel stay but more like a simple family-oriented Accommodation. It felt like a traditional inn forcibly converted into a Hotel. For those aiming to swim at the beach right in front of the Accommodation, it’s perfect as it’s lively and bustling during the day. In contrast, mornings and evenings are relatively cool and quiet, making them ideal for walks—this was the best part for me. The pool is just an ordinary one—not like those you’d find at an Okinawan Resort Hotel. It might be sufficient for kids to play in but not suitable for adults looking to relax. The staff were friendly and kind. The Room was within acceptable standards regarding size but had an unpleasant smell that lingered throughout our stay—it wasn’t clear what caused it. Even after returning from outside, the smell persisted until we used fabric deodorizer spray to make it slightly better. The air purifier didn’t seem very effective either; perhaps this Room was originally Japanese-style before being converted into Western-style? The placement of power outlets felt inconvenient, there were no bedside night lamps by the bed, and accessing the bathroom required stepping down into an entryway area instead of directly entering from inside the Room—a puzzling layout. Additionally: - The shared garden area (including around the pool) appeared cluttered with various items left unattended—it resembled someone’s backyard rather than part of an Accommodation. - The large communal bath also seemed messy as if left untidy by previous users; I decided against using it. Overall: This place works well as family-friendly Accommodation focused on beach activities but isn’t suitable for adults seeking a relaxing Hotel stay experience.

    Fisherman's Bowl: Officially named "Namero Mago Chazuke"

    A hidden gem at our breakfast restaurant is the Fisherman's Bowl, also known as Mago Chazuke. Served in a special bowl with half a portion of white rice, namero (minced fish), shirasu (whitebait), pickled plum, grated yam, shredded seaweed, wasabi, and dashi broth. Perfect for those looking to replenish salt and energy during summer fatigue—give it a try! Enjoy it with the scent of the sea and ocean breeze! We have a suggestion: how about offering an "Ahi Creative Tuna Bowl" during lunchtime someday? GINGER or SPICY Ahi bowls are extremely popular in Hawaii. We believe it would be perfect for SAYAN's lunch menu and could become a hit dish. You can compare it to OFF THE HOOK or MAGURO SPOT—Ono!! Announcement! September is the best time to visit our accommodation. Summer isn't over yet! On September 13th and 20th, we will host Surfing Meetings 2025.     Two weeks later, I revisited. "Koko Doko Accommodation" I took an early morning walk from Sayang Terrace towards the Iwawada area. The sandy BEACH along the shore was white with sea spray, and the shimmering ocean surface made me feel like I was already in HAWAII... Suddenly, it reminded me of walking from Lanikai Beach to Kailua Beach in Hawaii's paradise. The POOL at Sayang Terrace has a great atmosphere, reminiscent of Waikiki's pink PALACE Royal Hawaiian HOTEL. Enjoying a poke breakfast at the restaurant makes it perfect. Chiba has its own gem—Accommodation in Onjuku. Thank you, MAHALO!

    Two weeks later, I revisited "Kokodoko Accommodation." I took an early morning walk from Sayang Terrace towards the Iwawada area. The sandy BEACH along the shore was white, and the shimmering sea felt like being in HAWAII. It reminded me of walking from Lanikai to Kailua Beach in Hawaii's "Heavenly Sea." The POOL at Sayang Terrace has a great atmosphere, somewhat resembling the pool deck of Waikiki's pink PALACE "Royal Hawaiian" HOTEL. At breakfast in the restaurant, a girl at the next table topped her fisherman’s rice bowl “Mago Chazuke” with extra servings—highly recommended! Chiba has this wonderful accommodation. Thank you!

    Perfect for those who simply want to enjoy time by the sea.

    I chose this hotel for a solo 2-night stay at an accommodation I had visited several times before on day trips. The reasons for my choice were: - Within walking distance from the station, even without driving. - Availability of a No Meals Included plan. - Located right in front of the ocean. - Convenience store nearby. The hotel has an older feel but seems to have undergone some renovations in places, making it a comfortable environment if you don't expect too much. The double room I stayed in had carpet flooring, but disposable slippers were available among the amenities near the front desk, which was helpful. Here are some positives from my 2-night stay (1 night with breakfast included): - The cleaning staff greeted me warmly with smiles and energy, which was delightful. - The room's air conditioning was relatively new and large, working perfectly well. - Since it wasn't peak season yet, I could enjoy breakfast quietly while looking at the ocean (the miso soup and coffee were delicious). - After coming up from the beach to the deck area, there was a warm water shower to rinse off your feet; downstairs had two spin dryers for wet swimsuits and standing showers (with warm water and partitions), leading directly to the large bath—a convenient layout. Some areas that felt disappointing: - Although new-looking, the shower in my room had extremely weak water pressure that made it difficult to use properly. - The door lock only had one lock as chains seemed to have been removed previously; this raised safety concerns. - The balcony door of my room needed repair due to poor alignment. - For guests like me who walk from the station, shuttle service inquiries received responses like "it may not be available depending on time," and even when requested again before check-out day, they declined without offering alternatives such as arranging taxis proactively—this felt less accommodating than expected from a hotel. - There was no visible ramp near reception (or at least not easily noticeable), only stairs—making it inconvenient for those carrying heavy luggage; during check-out assistance wasn’t offered either ("Shall we help with your luggage?" would’ve been appreciated). Overall impression: While personal customer service might not meet typical expectations of hotels elsewhere—the location makes this facility worthwhile if that's your priority!

    We greatly appreciate your continued support over the past 10 years. Welcome to Accommodation Blue, where the sea boasts incredible clarity. The restaurant offers a wonderful atmosphere and delicious flavors! Breakfast is thoughtfully prepared, featuring our original Poke Bowl and Fisherman’s Bowl—both are absolutely exquisite. Be sure to give them a try; we highly recommend it. Perfect for surfers, ocean lovers, couples, and families alike. I’m a summer-only surfer myself! MAHALO!!

    It was very affordable.

    The price was affordable as it was before the peak season, and the Room was clean, spacious, and equipped with a bubble bath. The chef's choice full-course Western dinner was delicious and had just the right portions. If I may be indulgent, I would have preferred beef instead of duck for the meat dish (as my wife couldn't eat it due to its distinctive taste). Even pork would have been fine considering the cost. Also, there was a screen in the Room, which was a unique and fun experience! (laughs)

    The Facility feels a bit old, but the excellent service and hospitality allowed us to have a great holiday. I hope to stay here again in the summer! The breakfast was also delicious! Thank you very much!

    Perfect for a staycation

    Staycations have recently become my favorite pastime. My hobbies include enjoying baths and watching Netflix or movies. I stayed for one night to relax alone and enjoy a drive. I often visited this area by car, but I never knew there was such a wonderful hotel here... The oceanfront room was absolutely stunning—I watched movies, enjoyed drinks alone, and soaked in the jacuzzi. Although I planned to visit the stone sauna and large public bath, the room was so comfortable that I decided to skip them! Haha. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. It seems like it would be crowded in summer, so I'll visit again during the off-season!

    Pet-friendly

    Stay in a pet-friendly room The view of the sea right in front was breathtaking. It was very helpful that the dessert from dinner was brought to our room, as our dog felt lonely. The buffet breakfast the next morning was also very delicious. We will use your property again! Thank you for taking care of us.

    Anyway, the double bedroom is...

    The room is small, and the bed size does not match the dimensions of the platform. The balcony is narrow, and the walls seem like plywood. The air conditioning works well. The breakfast buffet is extremely delicious—top-notch quality. The restaurant service is also impeccable.
