    It was great!

    After 55 years since my junior high school trip, I booked accommodation in Kyoto! (Even as a travel enthusiast, I was surprised!) It was also my first time staying on the south side of the station, so I wondered how far it would be to walk. However, it only took about 10 minutes to arrive. When I checked in, there were two gentlemen who seemed middle-aged, and I thought there were no young staff around. After taking a bath and enjoying complimentary alcohol service in the lobby with a beer, I noticed that there were indeed young staff members present! The beer was very delicious and made for a blissful moment! Additionally, there were many inbound guests at the hotel who all behaved like true gentlemen and ladies. This made me feel that this is truly a good hotel! The breakfast also seemed thoughtfully prepared with international guests in mind—I could tell from the variety of bread offered! Next time, I'll make sure to stay in Kyoto intentionally. And when that happens, I'll book accommodation at your hotel again! Thank you very much!

    Accommodation in mid-August, No Meals Included, for 5,000 yen. Enjoy reading in the room or at the welcome café on the first floor. Spend a relaxing time. It was reasonably priced.

    Just steps from Kujo Subway Station, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The bus stop is also a hidden gem! If it's not your first visit, you can navigate smartly. This accommodation offers excellent value for money (perhaps thanks to booking during a discount period). For those seeking Kyoto's unique charm and hospitality, it might be better to stay at accommodations that match such expectations. In that sense, this place was greatly appreciated for its practicality. The breakfast vegetables are very fresh and beautifully presented, and the bite-sized sandwiches are fantastic! You can choose any without hesitation. While I don't expect elaborate hospitality, basic courtesy as both a person and professional is essential... It would be unfortunate if one individual's behavior tarnished the hotel's reputation because this place truly excels in location and cost performance with evident effort put into maintaining quality. Despite minor inconveniences, considering its convenience, I would consider staying here again. Thank you to all the staff members for your kind service with smiles! :)

    I visited looking forward to breakfast, the bath, and the ceramic body bath. Fortunately, there was availability for a larger room, and I was able to upgrade for a fee. Thank you. I love the breakfast here, but the ceramic body bath was fully booked on the day of my stay, so it was scheduled for 8:00 the next day. I will make sure to reserve early. It seems that reservations are possible the day before the stay, so I will pay attention to the timing. Thank you to the female staff member who kindly accepted my request to fill my water bottle late at night. She was very pleasant, and it left a good impression.

    Room furnishings need improvement

    I stayed in a triple Room. The entrance door opens inward into the Room, leaving almost no space for putting on or taking off shoes (the door gets in the way). I hope for improvements.

    The sound of slippers is bothersome.

    As per the Review, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed plenty of free drinks. The welcome drink beer was quite a generous amount, which made us happy. Since it was a Saturday, it seemed like there were many Japanese people in their 20s. The lounge at night was crowded, but it wasn’t noisy, and some people were enjoying live music. I think this is a Hotel that can be enjoyed even when traveling alone. Since we checked in early, we enjoyed the bath and the stone sauna. As mentioned in the Review, the lockers are vertically long, so it’s necessary to share space for changing clothes. What was really disappointing was that although we changed into slippers in the Room, the sound of the person in the Room above walking around continued until about midnight, which was unpleasant. Since there are disposable slippers in the Room, I feel it would be better to provide those from the beginning. The hallway walls also seem thin? The voices from the hallway echoed until entering the Room, but I suppose this is due to the building’s structure. Overall, I think it’s a very good Hotel.

    Good service is only for breakfast.

    The communication skills at check-in and when leaving luggage were too poor. I felt this when we were given a claim ticket despite having our hands full with luggage. Why hand it over when my hands are full? It would have been nice if they could have helped carry the luggage to the storage area, but they just watched without doing anything. We are not foreigners, we are Japanese. I thought hotel service was about communicating and being attentive to what the guest needs at the moment. This hotel mainly offers bread for breakfast. As someone who likes Japanese food, I was not very satisfied. Next is the public bath. This is about the women's public bath. The washroom and changing room were too narrow. Several guests were waiting in the changing room. So, I couldn't take my time changing or washing and went back to the room to use the hairdryer, etc. The bathtub and washing area were also full. In the end, the premises must be small. The trash cans were also small, and the three trash cans were overflowing. No staff came to clean up. As a result, I couldn't relax.

    Comfortable and pleasant stay

    Thank you for your hospitality during my stay. It was a very comfortable stay. Considering the price and the facilities and services, I thought it was truly a wonderful hotel. The location is excellent, just one minute by subway from Kyoto Station to the next station, Kujo. The staff were also courteous and kind. Additionally, the facilities, including the room, were very comfortably designed. The lobby area, which is clean and cozy with complimentary drinks, and the microbubble bath in the large public bath were very pleasant. Amidst various challenging social conditions, the corporate efforts to provide high-quality service are evident throughout. It was a wonderful hotel. I would like to use it again when I am in the area.

    Thank you for your hospitality. A few points of concern... The ammonia smell in the room's toilet. The stress of the coat getting caught in the door due to the coat hanger right at the entrance. I would like to have two pillows. During the New Year's stay, the front desk seemed busy, and while it was fine to be directed to the machine with "Are you checking out? Please use that machine," it was disappointing that there was no greeting like "Thank you very much." The bath was pleasant, but when people using the hairdryer occupied all three sinks, we had to wait. Breakfast was good. However, it was a bit disappointing that the ozoni soup, which was kindly served, had hard mochi and the broth was not hot. The provided samue was comfortable to wear.

    Located in Shiga, this stylish Hotel offers a convenient stay with delicious breakfast. Perfect for enjoying Kyoto sightseeing with friends, reserving a meal at great restaurants near Kyoto Station, and walking back to rest comfortably in bed. The Hotel also features a large public bath. For an overnight stay including breakfast at this price, it’s truly appreciated. I look forward to staying again when I work hard and plan for more fun activities!

    The breakfast is delicious!

    Since it was a standard twin, the Room was small and there was no table for two people to have tea, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast was very satisfying, with a wide selection of delicious small side dish breads. There is a subway station right in front, and a bus stop nearby, making it convenient.

    At first impression, I was a little worried that it was an old-fashioned Business Hotel, but the Room was spacious enough and very comfortable. What surprised me was the luxury of the breakfast!     I would like to share my review of my second trip to Kyoto this year. The cost performance was exceptionally good for this time of year, so I made a reservation at this hotel on the Hachijo side for the first time. However, I quickly realized that choosing the Hachijo side was a mistake since I wasn't a Shinkansen traveler this time. Here is my review of the hotel. ■ Negative Points 1. Perhaps because it was a corner room right after getting off the elevator, or maybe because the trash bin for PET bottles was nearby, I could visually confirm small trash scattered after the cleaning cart passed by (in the shared space before entering the room). I thought it was common sense for both full-time and part-time employees to check if any trash was left on the floor when moving the cart after cleaning, but it was disappointing to see that some cleaning staff couldn't do this. I looked at the same situation again when checking out the next day. 2. The yukata seemed to be worn out over time, with visible discoloration on the front and back. I called the front desk to have it replaced, but I thought it might be time to switch to new ones, even though it would incur costs. (By the way, the size of the new yukata they brought was LL. It seemed to be the only one with less discoloration available for exchange.) 3. The large bath only had five washing areas and nine lockers. It was somewhat inconvenient to change clothes when crowded, and it might be better to remove the stone sauna and increase the number of lockers to two. These are the negative points I noticed. I wasn't expecting luxury hotel-level service or well-equipped facilities for the accommodation fee this time, but I learned that I should have chosen a slightly higher-grade hotel even if it cost a bit more. Finally, the good point. The breakfast buffet was indeed good, as mentioned in other reviews. However, it would have been even better if the dishes, including the French toast, were a bit warmer (this is based on the situation at 7 AM right after the buffet started). Nonetheless, I would like to thank the cooking department; the food was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

    Very nice accommodation

    I have used this place several times. The location is 3 meters from Exit 2 of Kujo Station. There are buses to Kiyomizu Temple, Gion, and Ginkakuji nearby, which is convenient. Check-in is from 2 PM, which is early and nice. They also store your luggage without any issues. You can enjoy a welcome drink, including one alcoholic beverage, and you can have as much tea or coffee as you like at any time. They often have live performances in the lounge, which are very enjoyable. They also have Kyoto guidebooks and more available. The public bath is a bit small, but it has a sauna, which is nice. It's great just to have a public bath. The samue is very comfortable to wear. Although the location in Kujo might be avoided by some, the convenience is good, and the cost performance is excellent. As a recent business hotel, it's convenient that you can use the elevator and public bath without a card, but is there a slight safety issue? It's a hotel that seems to exceed the level of a business hotel.

    I was satisfied.

    Tired from walking, we arrived at the inn. For smokers, the smoking room was appreciated. Just one subway stop from Kyoto Station, it's also within walking distance. As an elderly couple, we were grateful for the staff's assistance during check-in. I thought the breakfast menu was easy for foreigners to enjoy. There were no troublesome guests, and we could relax in the bath. Despite the low price, it was a comfortable inn. Thank you very much.
