    Thank you very much.

    I stayed here again this time. The Room is always exceptionally clean, which I really appreciate. I accidentally forgot my facial cleanser, but it was available from the lobby amenities, which was very helpful. I was also happy to find a summer limited-time bath additive. I booked an early check-out Plan, and it was very convenient since it’s just a short walk to the Shinkansen ticket gates. I expect I’ll be traveling to Niigata for a while, so I’d definitely like to stay here again.

    Excellent access fro...

    Excellent access from the station, with convenience stores and sightseeing spots close by—an unbeatable location. The Room was somewhat dated, but the Hotel was clean and well maintained.

    It was comfortable!

    I stayed here for the first time to visit my mother in the hospital in Niigata. Many Hotels in Niigata feel quite dated, and after a lot of 고민 I chose this one for its great location. After getting off the Shinkansen, I could get around under cover no matter the weather, and having nearby shopping facilities was incredibly convenient and truly helpful. I’m a bit particular about cleanliness, but the Room was very clean. Since I stayed two nights, around 9:30 a.m. housekeeping knocked on my door and asked what I would like regarding cleaning, so I requested only towel replacement and water. Next to the front desk there were complimentary amenities available to take freely, from bath salts to skincare items, which really impressed me. There was also a microwave in the lobby, so I was happy to be able to warm up rice balls. Every staff member who assisted me was kind, courteous, and gentle. I had planned to stay one night, but my mother suddenly needed surgery and I asked to extend my stay; they kindly accommodated me, for which I am truly grateful. Whenever I go to Niigata, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.

    Directly connected to Niigata Station

    Whenever I come to Niigata City, I stay here. It’s very convenient with direct access to Niigata Station. It’s next to Ponshukan and a 7-Eleven, and the station-connected multi-story parking garage is available 24 hours, which is great. The downtown area is on the other side, but getting there is no problem at all. The station itself has become much more convenient, so being directly connected to it is a major advantage. I’d like to stay here again.

    Convenient.

    This time I stayed here because I wanted a Hotel close to the station. I had already done sightseeing around town before, so I decided on a place where I wouldn’t have to walk around much. There were other Reviews as well, but it did feel a bit dated. I think it was worth the price. It depends on whether you prioritize spaciousness or convenience, but for convenience, this was definitely a good Hotel.

    Directly connected to the station for exceptional convenience.

    This was my second stay, and this time I stayed for five nights. The Room was a bit larger than last time, which made it very comfortable. The cleaning was thorough, and coming back to the Room every day felt relaxing. I was able to keep up with my schedule while getting plenty of rest. This time I chose a Plan without breakfast, but since the hotel is directly connected to the station, it was easy to go out for meals or buy something to eat. There is also coffee in the lobby, which I enjoyed every morning. I would like to stay here again.

    This is my third stay.

    This is my go-to Accommodation in Niigata. The Room is clean, and the free coffee in the lobby is a nice touch. It’s also very convenient that it’s directly connected to Ponshukan. There’s a convenience store right next door as well.

    Near the station

    I stayed here during the Golden Week holidays. Hotel Mets Niigata is directly connected to the station, and Ponshukan is also nearby for buying souvenirs, making it very convenient. Since it was Golden Week, it was difficult to secure a Reservation, prices were much higher than usual, and only a smoking Room was available, so I stayed there reluctantly—but the smell did not bother me much.

    Great location and a comfortable stay.

    Stayed here as a base for sightseeing in Niigata City. I originally prioritized location, and being directly connected to the station, directly connected to Ponshukan, and having a convenience store right downstairs was truly convenient! I was also glad I could get a Superior DX Twin. For a Business Hotel, the room was quite spacious and bright, with a relaxing sofa set and a bathroom with a washing area, so I could spend the final day of my trip—gradually heading north from the Minakami area—comfortably and without stress. I wasn’t bothered at all by train or city noise, or voices from other guests. It was very comfortable. On departure day, after walking around town, I picked up my luggage that had been stored at the front desk and went straight to the restaurant downstairs for dinner. After that, I took the escalator up to the station. So efficient—no wasted steps at all. Twin rooms don’t seem to open up often, so an early Reservation is essential, but I’d love to stay again next time I visit Niigata. Thank you for your hospitality.

    I mistakenly assumed that all Rooms had separate bathrooms and toilets. This was my oversight. I think it would be fine if the loungewear were pajama-style. All the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

    The Room was compact yet practical, clean, and comfortable. Considering its location right by the station, I think the size was sufficient. Breakfast had a limited selection, but I enjoyed the delicious local Niigata dishes.

    With a convenience store right next door inside the station, it’s extremely convenient, so I always stay here. This time I mistakenly made a Reservation for a smoking Room, but the staff promptly changed it to a non-smoking Room—thank you very much. It’s convenient in every way, and the staff are wonderful, so I can stay with peace of mind. I look forward to staying again.

    It was a very nice room.

    I stayed at JR East Hotel Mets Niigata again after a long time. At check-in, we also forgot to mention it, but in the past the staff would ask about JRE Points; this time they didn’t, and we only realized after payment, so we let it go. My wife wanted to Earn Points. If we stay again, I would appreciate it if you could ask whether we would like to add JRE Points. It’s a small thing. The Room was very clean, and I hope to stay in the same Room again.

    Directly connected to the station for exceptional convenience, this Hotel is right next to a convenience store, and on the other side there are shops where you can buy souvenirs and enjoy food and drinks, making it highly convenient. The property is also kept very clean throughout, making it comfortable to stay here—an excellent Hotel. Whenever I travel by Shinkansen, I choose this Hotel. Thank you again.

    Great location and great service!

    My first visit to Niigata City in a while. The location was perfect—practically inside the station—so I couldn’t ask for more! The staff were steady and reliable, and the Room was clean. I’ll stay here again next time.

    My favorite Hotel, but...

    I have stayed here multiple times. I chose this accommodation because of its convenient location and the delicious variety of breakfast options, including curry and shumai. Before this stay, I heard that the breakfast food was cold, but I decided to stay again thinking it couldn't be true. However, during my stay, I noticed that more dishes were slightly cold overall, and most notably, the curry was actually cold. Despite being placed on a heat stove, it wasn’t just "not hot"—it was "cold," which was disappointing. When I pointed this out to a female staff member, she simply replied with "Thank you." I found this response confusing.

    It was great!

    The direct connection to the station was excellent, especially as I was traveling with my elderly father who has weak legs—it was a great help. The quality of the shampoo and amenities was impressive and made me happy. The breakfast venue had a spacious and relaxing atmosphere, and the food was delicious! I accidentally dropped my handbag and rushed back in a panic, but a staff member who had picked it up ran towards me to return it. Seeing my relieved expression, all the staff at the counter smiled warmly as they saw me off—it truly touched my heart. It was a wonderful Hotel.

    A clean Hotel conveniently located near the station

    Overall, it is clean. Cleaning seems to be done well, but there was mold on the bathroom blinds, which was disappointing. Occasionally cleaning the blinds and grout with chlorine-based products would be a good idea. I like this Hotel, so I hope cleanliness is maintained.

    Accommodation to Enjoy Japanese Sake

    I visited Niigata for the first time to discover delicious Japanese sake, and staying at Hotel Mets Niigata was the perfect choice. In the same building as the hotel, there is "Ponshukan," famous for its sake tasting experience, directly connected to the 3rd-floor hotel lobby through a single door—a dream combination. After enjoying a thorough sake tasting session, being able to immediately relax on the hotel's bed offers unparalleled satisfaction and peace of mind. The area near the station has many liquor stores with standing bars and izakayas. The newly renovated Niigata Station building also makes shopping for souvenirs enjoyable. Despite unfavorable weather on my visit, I appreciated that it’s directly connected indoors from Niigata Station, eliminating concerns about carrying large luggage in the rain. It’s also highly convenient as a base for sightseeing in Niigata City, with a 24-hour convenience store right next door. The room was spacious and comfortable enough; although there is no large public bath, I was satisfied with my private bathroom. Additionally, the staff at check-in and check-out were very kind and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Niigata next time!

Additionally, there is a shop next door selling all kinds of Niigata specialties, making it perfect in every way. This hotel is undoubtedly the best option when visiting Niigata.

    Directly connected to the station, it was easy to find without getting lost. The Room had a view of the station, was spacious enough, and the bed was large and comfortable for a relaxing stay. One minor concern was that if the slippers are not disposable, it would be better if they were of a wipeable type. Other than that, everything was clean and well-maintained. I would like to stay here again when visiting Niigata.

    Great location and excellent service.

    First time in the area, staying alone for two nights. Only smoking rooms were available during the reservation, so I noted a preference for a non-smoking room if possible. At check-in, without me mentioning it, they had already prepared a non-smoking room for me. After going to the room, I discovered that the refrigerator was not cooling properly. When I contacted them, they responded immediately and suggested a room change. Although it was inconvenient as I had checked in late and already unpacked some of my belongings, their response was very polite and professional. At check-out, the staff at the front desk apologized again for the issue with the refrigerator. It was clear that this information had been shared among hotel staff, which left a positive impression on me. The bathroom in my room was a unit bath but came with several types of bath salts as amenities, allowing me to relax and recover from fatigue—this thoughtful touch made me happy. During my stay, buses were my main mode of transportation. The location also allowed easy access to many shops for souvenir shopping—absolutely no complaints about its convenience!

    The affiliated parking lot is a bit far and inconvenient to find, but it can't be helped. The shower is large, and the wide exit causes water to splash around. The toilet's automatic flushing sound provides privacy, which is a nice feature. Humidifier and dehumidifier are available. The hallway has a noticeable smell of tobacco; it would be better if the odor were reduced.

    Directly connected to the station, it was very convenient as they held our luggage until the Shinkansen departure time on the checkout day. The Room was clean, and we could relax in a bathroom with a washing area. The coffee and water service on the front desk floor was also a nice touch. I think this will be my first choice whenever I use JR in the future.

    Convenient Hotel Directly Connected to the Station

    The bed was comfortably firm, and I woke up without any back or waist pain, which made me very happy. I think it would be even more comfortable if the bathroom and showerhead were renovated. The air conditioner allowed for 0.5-degree adjustments, making my stay very pleasant. Thank you!

    Conveniently located near the station

    It's very convenient to go straight to the Hotel right after getting off the Shinkansen. The breakfast, featuring Niigata rice and side dishes, was delicious and highly satisfying.
