    Even though we arrived late, we were truly impressed by the attentive service!

    Although I checked in late, the staff were very courteous and handled everything quickly so the process was completed smoothly. I have stayed here many times during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons because of the convenient location and high Hotel quality, and I’m always impressed by the consistently excellent service and rooms. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto. Thank you very much.

    Always happy to welcome returning guests.

    I often stay at this Hotel, but recently I have frequently been assigned Rooms where the fixed-volume bath handle does not work, causing the hot water to overflow. Other than that, there are no issues.

    This Accommodation may be perfect for transportation enthusiasts.

    Ever since it opened, I’d been hoping to stay here someday. With a Kintetsu trip planned, I booked immediately. The area around Kyoto Station was incredibly crowded for the first time in four years, so I was a bit worried about staying so close to the station—but once you step into the entrance, it feels like a completely different world. What a relief. Check-in at reception was smooth as well. When I got off the elevator on my floor, there it was: a full-on railway view. (If I were a kid, I might have been glued to the window.) The Room has double fabric blinds on the window. The bathtub is long enough to fully stretch out your legs—such a treat. The kettle and mugs are reliably provided too. By the window inside the Room, you can watch Shinkansen trains coming and going nonstop (even if you’re not a train fan). I wanted to take photos—unfortunately I forgot my phone on this trip—so I’m planning to come back just for that.

    With direct access to the station, getting around was very easy. The station building has plenty of restaurants, so there was no trouble finding places to eat. The lounge was also convenient for a quick break. I stayed with my grandchild, who was delighted to see the Shinkansen. Next time, we will visit as a couple.

    It has been more than 10 years since I first stayed here. When I arrived at Kyoto Station, you kindly stored my luggage so I could go cheer for my sons’ games—this is such a convenient location.     Convenient and satisfying

    We stayed here for a girls’ trip. Highly recommended for those using Kyoto Station as a base. The Room is compact, but we had no issues at all, and we’d love to stay here again when we visit Kyoto!

    Five-star satisfaction!

    I have been staying at this Hotel for about 13 years. Since I live in Tokyo and use the Shinkansen, this Hotel has the best location and overall convenience. This time, both the Room and the meals were the best I have ever had here. The meals keep improving with every visit, and I have no complaints at all. These are uncertain times, but please keep up the great work.

    I would like you to offer a wider variety of breakfast options.

    I was surprised by the limited breakfast selection. I looked for a toaster to toast bread but couldn’t find one. After the meal, I noticed it had been placed by the entrance. It would be helpful to have a notice showing where the toaster is located. The breakfast was disappointing.

    The Best Location and the Best Stay

    My husband, our elementary school-aged son, and I stayed for three nights in February. As it was our son’s birthday and we booked through IKYU, we were very grateful for the Room upgrade. The Accommodation was spotless, and we were not bothered by any noise from nearby Rooms, so we had a very comfortable stay. We love the Miyako Hotel Group and have stayed with them in both Ise and Osaka. We will definitely stay with you again whenever we visit Kyoto. Thank you very much.

    Unbeatable convenience and value for money.

    Direct access from the Shinkansen ticket2 gates to the station is a big plus, and you can leave your luggage even outside check-in/check-out hours. The best part is that after check-out you can pick up your luggage yourself. Every year I stay either here or at another Hotel, but this time I was traveling solo so I chose a double Room. The Room was bright, clean, and faultless. What I notice every time is how small the refrigerator is and how limited the breakfast buffet feels. It’s true there’s a convenience store nearby if you go down to the first floor, but it’s still a downside that you can’t even stand up a 500 ml plastic bottle in the fridge. As for the breakfast buffet, I suppose it can’t be helped considering the value for money. I’ve mentioned some negatives, but aside from that everything is perfect—I’m very satisfied.

    Convenient and comfortable

    Directly connected to the station, and the luggage storage lockers are very convenient. Perhaps it was due to nighttime construction at the station, but I could hear some noise. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Room upgrade, and had a very comfortable stay. I accidentally left something behind, and even though it was my fault, the staff kindly went back to check the Room and supported me with great care until the end—thank you very much. The service of providing a place to rest after check-out was wonderful; I could relax until it was time for my Shinkansen. My friend also really enjoyed wintertime Kyoto, and I think that was thanks in part to this comfortable stay. They liked that resting area so much that they even made another Reservation for next time while we were there. We will visit again.

    Consistently comfortable, every time.

    This is my first-choice Hotel when I travel to Kyoto for work After getting off the Shinkansen, exiting the ticket gates, and going down the escalator, you’re right at the Hotel entrance—so convenient. You can shop without needing an umbrella for everything from snacks and drinks to souvenirs and even a department store, and you’ll never have trouble finding somewhere to eat. The Room is clean and comfortably prepared, and the front desk staff are always helpful, making my stay very pleasant. The breakfast area is spacious, so there’s no worry about crowds, and I really appreciate being able to eat anytime with no waiting. The menu offers plenty of rice-based options such as mixed rice, curry, and dashi ochazuke, but the selection of side dishes may be a bit limited. I’d be happy if there were fresh fruit as well.

    Affordable and Conveniently Located Inside the Station

    Located inside Kyoto Station, offering excellent access to both the Shinkansen and local train lines. Perfect choice for a business trip during heavy snow forecasts when JR schedules are a concern. The Room is compact yet functional, featuring a desk suitable for a PC, plenty of charging outlets, and adequate lighting—ideal for work stays. During my Multiple Night Stay, I only requested amenity replacement, but they also provided light cleaning, ensuring exceptional cleanliness. Although I didn’t dine there, the station has numerous restaurants nearby, so finding food was never an issue.

    The unit bath is disappointing.

    This was my second stay. The first time was shortly after the Hotel opened, and the Room was spotless with a great view of the trains, which made me very satisfied. I had high expectations for this stay as well. However, upon entering the Room and opening the door to the unit bath, there was an unpleasant smell! It seemed like it came from the shower curtain—damp and musty. It immediately dampened my mood. Furthermore, when I washed my hands, I heard gurgling sounds from the drain... This is likely due to hair or other debris clogging it. Very disappointing. As for amenities, there were no cleansing products or lotions available near reception for women—none at all! There wasn’t even drip coffee provided... Perhaps these are included in more expensive Plans? On a positive note, I appreciated that staff provided kind service and that I could see bullet trains from my Room again; however, maintenance should be addressed promptly. Apologies if this feedback seems harsh—it’s just that when you hear "Miyako Hotel," you expect a long-standing reputation of excellence...

    A convenient Hotel directly connected to Kyoto Station. You can also store your luggage before check-in and after check-out, which is very convenient. The renovations are ongoing, and the Rooms and facilities are clean.

    It was excellent again this time.

    I travel to Kyoto with my sister once every 1-2 years. I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been, but we’ve never stayed anywhere other than this hotel. The convenience is unbeatable. The hotel is located right next to the Shinkansen station. This time, we traveled by bus, and even from the bus stop, you can reach the hotel without being exposed to rain or wind. You can leave your luggage at the hotel and head straight out for sightseeing, and places like Isetan or Porta are accessible without needing a coat. If your shopping bags pile up, you can easily return to drop them off—there’s really nothing negative about this place. This time, we stayed in a newly renovated room. It was very clean and comfortable to stay in. Other guests we encountered in the elevator were calm, polite, and quiet—it made for an even more pleasant experience overall. I’m sure I’ll be staying here again next year as well! Thank you in advance!

    Hotel directly connected to the station

    The room is spacious with a great view of the station area, and the bathroom is also very large. Although breakfast has limited variety, there are plenty of staff who promptly replenish items. However, the showerhead in the bathroom was loose and very difficult to use. Despite having more than an hour left before checkout, cleaning staff entered the room without permission. While they apologized briefly for what seemed to be a mistake, there was no apology from the front desk at all. It’s hard to believe that such an incident could happen; surely the hotel should consider how guests would feel about someone entering their room uninvited. Honestly, this is unacceptable. I’ve stayed at many accommodations before but have never experienced anything like this. While it was our fault for not double-locking after breakfast, it was still extremely disappointing overall.

    Very comfortable!

    Located next to the station, you can avoid getting wet in the rain and easily access various railway companies, which was fantastic! Since I plan to visit Osaka and Kobe while staying in Kyoto, having the railway nearby is extremely convenient. I would love to stay here again next time!

    2 Nights, 3 Days Solo Trip to Kyoto

    I stayed here for a two-night, three-day solo trip to Kyoto. First of all, the direct connection to the station and the availability of lockers even after checkout were excellent. The Room was small, but it was fine since I only needed it for sleeping. The walls were quite thin, so sounds could be heard to some extent.

    Convenient Hotel Directly Connected to Kyoto Station

    The location is directly connected to Kyoto Station, and being near the Shinkansen on the Kintetsu side is very convenient. The Room is not spacious, but it is functional and has enough space for two people to sit comfortably. The bathroom is a unit bath, but the shower water pressure was adequate. Considering the price and location, I think it was a great stay, and I hope to use it again if possible.

    The train noise was quite noticeable.

    The room was comfortable, but I couldn't sleep due to the sound of trains. The location is unbeatable, so I would like to stay again if there are quieter rooms available. However, sensitive individuals should be prepared. One of my family members who stayed in a different room also mentioned they couldn't sleep. It was on the Comfort Floor, but I could hear conversations from the neighboring room, so the walls seem relatively thin.

    Luxurious Time

    I stayed from 12/31 and ended up extending my stay because it was so comfortable. It was such a cozy hotel that I didn’t want to leave and even thought about living there. Thank you so much. From now on, this will be my go-to accommodation whenever I stay in Kyoto.

    Direct access to the station - Convenient and Comfortable!

    This was my third stay! The location is simply the best! The room was comfortable, and this accommodation is my top choice for staying in Kyoto. The New Year's breakfast was perfect, and I was very satisfied. I also enjoyed using the drink and relaxation ticket—my daughter loved the matcha latte. One thing, though—the smell of the bathroom curtain bothered me a bit... (T_T) I managed with room spray and an air purifier. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

    Stayed for one night...

    Stayed for one night between travels. The location was excellent and very convenient. However, perhaps due to the busy season, there was a persistent damp smell, and the sink and bathroom had an unpleasant odor, possibly from clogged drains, which was uncomfortable. The service was excellent, so I would consider staying again if this issue is resolved.

    Enjoy a travel-like experience while watching the trains.

    Close to the Shinkansen ticket gates, you can move within Kyoto Station without needing an umbrella even on rainy days. This time, I stayed in a corner room where I could see the Shinkansen, Kintetsu trains entering below, and JR local lines from the window. In the evening, I enjoyed sipping tea on the sofa while watching trains and soaking in the travel atmosphere. Personally, I was not bothered by any noise at all. The bathroom has a washing area and allows you to stretch your legs comfortably. However, as it is quite large with a sloped interior, it felt slightly challenging to get up at times—making me wonder if it might be concerning for someone alone. The non-slip mat placed inside seemed thoughtfully provided for this reason. The toilet is enclosed with glass walls—perhaps for safety reasons—but this design might feel slightly unsettling for some Japanese guests. Breakfast does not offer an extensive variety but includes warm dishes like hearty soups and pasta prepared with care rather than just pre-made items, which was impressive. I look forward to staying in a corner room again next time to relax and enjoy watching trains leisurely!
