    Excellent access to transportation

    I stayed here to coincide with a show at Kyoto Theater. I was able to use the summer Plan at a very reasonable rate. This was my first stay in quite a while, since before COVID—this used to be my only choice for business trips. With an unbeatable location that’s comfortable even in extreme heat, plus convenient services like lockers and lounge access, it’s especially helpful for travelers heading back to Tokyo by Shinkansen. The convenience has improved even more. I also made a Room request just in case, and it was accommodated. As expected of Miyako Hotel. The only disappointment was finding an unexplained candy on the Room floor—cleaning matters.

    Super convenient—right next to the station and reasonably priced.

    It was my first stay in a while. With the hotel right next to the station, it was convenient for sightseeing as well. I’d like to stay again.

    Exceptionally convenient

    We stay here every year when visiting family graves. It is directly connected to the station, and the Shinkansen exit is close, which is very convenient. Since it has a train view, it’s perfect for children and train lovers. Even if you forget to buy something, there are plenty of shops so you won’t have any trouble. The Room is compact but clean.

    Unfortunately, when I opened the door to the unit bathroom, there was a lingering sweaty odor trapped inside. It surprised me a little. As always, the service was wonderful, which was reassuring.

    I was looking forwar...

    I was looking forward to watching the trains, but perhaps because of the location, although I could see the tracks directly below, there wasn’t much train traffic, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t see as many as I had hoped. The bathroom wasn’t a separate three-piece layout, but the bathroom and bathtub were spacious, there was a makeup room, and it was also nice that there were three types of towels. However, it was disappointing that the makeup room door was difficult to close. The staff were very helpful at check-in, and the location was great, so overall I was very satisfied.

    Conveniently located near the Shinkansen ticket gates and ideal for sightseeing, so we stayed here again. We were able to relax in the Room. We truly appreciated the clean, well-maintained Room.

    I stayed in a Corner...

    I stayed in a Corner Twin Room because I heard it offers a good view of the trains. However, you can only see a little of the Shinkansen, the JR lines are too far from the platforms to really enjoy, and the Room is also far from the elevator—overall, this Room was disappointing. That said, the Hotel as a whole has a great location and is kept very clean, so it was a good Hotel. Next time, I’d like to stay in a standard Room.

    Convenient even with the Short Stay Plan

    On my third stay, I chose a Plan with check-in at 5:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM. Since I was working that day and would be checking in late, arriving after 5:00 PM was more than enough. The next day I planned to take the Shinkansen to Tokyo around noon, and even after check-out there were coin-operated lockers inside the Facility, so I could do a quick visit to local temples and shrines in the morning and then pick up my luggage without any waiting—very convenient. It’s on the same floor as the Shinkansen platforms, but you can hardly hear any outdoor noise, so it’s very comfortable. I’m used to the room now as well, so I slept soundly. There are plenty of dining options right next to the station—restaurants, cafés, and shops—so it’s easy even in bad weather or extreme heat. The drink service available for one full day during my stay was also helpful, as I could use it while waiting for the Shinkansen.

    I visited this time for events such as the Gion Festival. Recently, I have been coming to your area via Gifu. As soon as I get off the Shinkansen, the Hotel is right there—extremely convenient. Thank you as always for accommodating my requests. I have trouble with my legs on a daily basis, so your help truly means a lot. I had also been concerned about the condition near the entrance to the women’s restroom in the public area, but I was relieved to see a notice saying it was out of order. I would appreciate it if it could be replaced. I will visit again, and I look forward to seeing you. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Conveniently located inside Kyoto Station, making it very easy to access.

    I’ve stayed here many times. It’s very convenient. However, it may feel a bit small for two people. I mostly use it when traveling alone.

    Since I traveled by ...

    Since I traveled by Shinkansen, it was extremely convenient to be close to the ticket gates. From the Room window, the Shinkansen platform was right in front of me.

    Convenient and comfortable

    I had another comfortable stay. The Room is small, but practical and easy to use. The luggage storage and complimentary drinks after checkout let me relax until it’s time for the Shinkansen. It’s close to the ticket gates, and even if you forget to buy souvenirs, it’s convenient to head back out again. My friends always say we should come back. I’ll stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

    Couples’ Trip

    I stay at this Hotel every time I visit Kyoto. The Room is a bit small, but it’s very clean, and since I only need a place to rest after sightseeing, I’m satisfied with the location. Being able to use the lockers and the lounge after checkout is greatly appreciated. One of the women in the lounge was a bit unfriendly, but the other staff were great, so overall it was fine. I’ll stay here again! Thank you for your help.

    The Hotel is our absolute ace!

    Thank you for taking care of me for three nights. Above all, the outstanding convenience of access to public transportation really stood out—I didn’t get wet in the rain at all, and shopping and the taxi stand are also very close. For business use especially, I honestly feel there may be no other Hotel with better conditions. In fact, last month I couldn’t find the location of another Hotel I had reserved and ended up getting lost—this is the Hotel I finally reached. Even though I wasn’t a guest at the time, your staff treated me kindly, so I decided then and there: “The access is so convenient—next time I will definitely stay at this Hotel.” A few weeks later, I made a Reservation this time for single occupancy in a twin Room. The Room layout was excellent and very comfortable; it was clean without feeling overly intrusive with housekeeping; and it was reasonably priced (which really matters). Most notably, the bathroom was spacious and incredibly easy to use—the best! Kyoto is popular, so it’s understandable that rates rise depending on the season. Still, if you can continue to offer Rooms at reasonable prices whenever possible, as long as I keep working in Kyoto over the next 5–10 years, I would love to make Miyako City Kintetsu Kyoto Station my regular Hotel. I travel extensively for work overseas as well as throughout Japan (I’ve visited 40 of Japan’s 43 prefectures), but after this stay, I’m firmly convinced that Miyako City Kintetsu Kyoto Station is my absolute ace among Hotels. Thank you again—I look forward to staying with you in the future!

    Overall, I’m satisfied.

    This is my regular Hotel in Kyoto, conveniently located near the Shinkansen ticket gates and with great access to sightseeing spots, so I stay here every time I visit Kyoto. The Hotel is usually very comfortable, but there were a few things that concerned me during this stay. This time I stayed in a twin Room with a closet, and on the top shelf of the closet there were nightwear and a disposable slipper bag that seemed to have been left by the previous guest. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, I requested daily cleaning, but these items were not removed. Also, I felt the impression would be better if the front desk staff greeted guests with a bit more of a smile.

    Necessary and sufficient

    This was my second stay. In Kyoto, with fewer Chinese visitors, Hotel room rates have returned to what they used to be. It is a Hotel that offers excellent value for the price and is very satisfying.

    It was very comfortable, and I slept soundly.

    Thank you for upgrading me to the Comfort Floor. This was my second stay. The water pressure is outstanding, shampoo rinses off quickly, the bath fills fast, and the bathtub is spacious. The closet is excellent, the bed is very comfortable, and although it’s inside the station and along the tracks, it’s quiet. Mineral water is provided, and a humidifier comes as standard—everything was perfect. It would be helpful to have a larger desk for business use. Since the table is small, it’s difficult to spread out lots of documents while working on a PC. This time I booked twin room for single use, so I laid my documents out on the bed. When I stay in Kyoto again, I’d love to return.

    Visit Kyoto at this Hotel

    For the past few years, I have stayed at this Hotel whenever I visit Kyoto. It offers excellent access to the Shinkansen and Kintetsu lines, and as soon as you step outside the Hotel, you’ll find Miyakoji and ASTY—making dining and shopping very convenient. The taxi stand is also right in front. The Room is spacious and easy to use, with a separate toilet and bathroom. From the corridor, you can see the Shinkansen platforms, which railway fans will likely enjoy. One area for improvement would be the carpet in the corridor from the elevator to the guest Rooms: suitcase wheels and wheelchair casters tend to catch on it, making it take extra effort to move forward. Each year I visit hoping the carpet will have been replaced.

    Excellent convenience.

    Very convenient for guests arriving by Shinkansen. It’s just a 2–3 minute walk from the station; after checking in, I received a locker coin, stored my luggage, and headed straight out sightseeing. When you step out of the Hotel, there are shops and restaurants on both sides, which made shopping and dining easy. Even if you forget a change of clothes, there’s a UNIQLO right in front. The Room was bright and functional, and even though I stayed alone, there were towels and mineral water for two. The amenities were sufficient overall, but cotton pads would have been a nice addition. Security and staff service were solid, so I think it’s a Hotel where even women traveling solo can stay with peace of mind. The daytime free-drink lounge service was also great. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

    Convenient, comfortable, and close to the station

    I stayed here for the weekend after the Golden Week holidays in May. It had been a while since I visited Kyoto, but I always choose Miyako City Kintetsu Kyoto Station. Above all, it’s close to the station, and the staff are very courteous. I had a comfortable stay. I thoroughly enjoyed Kyoto in its fresh spring greenery. Thank you very much.

    Extremely convenient

    Directly connected to Kyoto Station, it was extremely convenient. There were plenty of places to eat, and I really appreciated being able to get there without getting wet even in the rain. The Room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. I was a bit disappointed with the limited breakfast variety. The kids said it would have been nice to have orange juice or apple juice. It was great that the lounge could be used for free from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM during our stay. After checkout, it was also nice to relax in the lounge until our Shinkansen time, enjoy free drinks, and charge my phone. I would stay again.

    We’d love to stay here again next year!

    Even though our Room was right next to the Shinkansen tracks, it was quiet and we slept well! The location was very convenient, with a taxi stand right in front, which was great... However, the free Wi‑Fi wasn’t smooth, and that was the only disappointing part!

    I should have used this sooner.

    I visit Kyoto twice a year. Until now I stayed around Shijo, but with recent price hikes being unbelievable, I went back to basics and chose this Hotel near the station. I made a Reservation six months ago at an almost unbelievably low rate and had been looking forward to it. The result was a huge win—I was completely satisfied and wondered why I hadn’t stayed here sooner. The Room was very clean, and even when I requested only towel replacement, they replenished amenities, tea, and water, and even made the bed. The bathroom has a window so it’s bright, making it pleasant to get ready in the morning. The bathtub is large enough that you can stretch out your legs and still soak up to your shoulders. Everything about the Room made for a truly comfortable stay. The subtle scent in the hallway and the flower arrangement facing the entrance also became wonderful memories. When I start sightseeing early in the morning I get tired and come back to rest in the early afternoon, but housekeeping was always finished and everything was spotless. It was an extremely comfortable stay. The front desk staff were very kind as well—this is a lovely Hotel where you feel at home. I might not be able to stay anywhere else anymore… which is a problem. One thing I noticed: I thought the towels felt slightly thin, but they were all Imabari towels—impressive. Even though they’re thin, their absorbency is excellent. This is a flawless Hotel for me. Thank you again in advance for my next stay.
