    The staff are outstanding at this Hotel.

    This was my second stay. Just as I felt last time, the warm smiles from the female front desk staff when welcoming guests, their thoughtful gesture of pressing the elevator button, and the friendly greetings with smiles from the housekeeping staff in the hallways were truly wonderful. The cleaning is thorough, and for this price it’s more than satisfactory. While not large, there is also a public bath with a sauna, and the women’s bath includes a stone sauna as well. Breakfast doesn’t have a huge selection, but it’s a delicious buffet and a pleasant way to start the day. Great access—less than a 3-minute walk from Kitasenju Station—and free drinks available only from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful

    For this price, it’s wonderful to be able to stay right in front of Kita-Senju Station. The happy hour was also great. The loan umbrellas were very helpful when it suddenly rained. I will stay again.

    This time again, I stayed on the Simple Stay plan in an Economy Room for one person. There is another business hotel nearby, but I always end up choosing this Accommodation for its easy access to the downtown area (the bars I usually go to), plus the massage chair and the bath. Before meeting up for drinks this time as well, I enjoyed the free drinks in the lounge and had a solo “pre-party.” After checkout, I stocked up on souvenirs for my wife at Donremy Outlet Kitasenju, which is attached to the property. It’s a reliable Accommodation in Kitasenju, so I’ll be back again.

    The origin and the pinnacle

    Thank you for taking care of me during my trip to Tokyo from the countryside for a complete refresh. It may be presumptuous to call myself a heavy user, but I truly appreciate your continued hospitality. From the smooth support before check-in, to the welcome drink and newspaper, the spacious Room equipped with massage chairs, the large public bath that’s hard to imagine from the Kita-Senju location, and the exquisite breakfast—this is a place where I can relax every time I visit. I have posted a Review before as well, and I feel it offers more than its price suggests. As noted in my title, among Hotels in this price range, it is—for me—the “starting point and the pinnacle.” Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay.

    A Hotel That Feels Like Home

    Since I had several days of theater outings, I booked a Multiple Night Stay at this Hotel close to my workplace. It’s not a large Hotel, but the staff were very kind, and I had a comfortable stay. I was also happy to receive welcome sweets. I’ll definitely stay here again!

    We were very satisfied.

    Twice a year when I return to Japan, I have been staying at this Hotel for the past few years. Kitasenju is extremely convenient, with many train lines available and easy access to almost anywhere either directly or with just one transfer. The Hotel is also close to Kitasenju Station, and there are various Facilities around the station, so I can stay comfortably without any inconvenience during my visit. Most notably, the staff’s thoughtfulness and hospitality truly stand out. Everyone responds sincerely to my requests, and I am very grateful. If I had to mention a downside, there is only one elevator, so depending on the timing you may have to wait; however, there are chairs available, so waiting is not too difficult. Also, since the Room does not have a closet or drawers, it can be inconvenient for longer stays like mine, but they lend me a clothes rack and hangers, so I manage somehow. One request for the future: could you please offer one or two kinds of fruit at breakfast? Having fruit would be very helpful. I would appreciate your consideration. I had another pleasant stay this time as well. Thank you again in advance for my next visit.

    All-you-can-drink (alcohol)

    The all-you-can-drink draft beer and wine were excellent. We enjoyed it as a private booking. Cocogrand’s service was outstanding. The delicious parfait was a nice touch.

    It was a compact yet very comfortable stay.

    I stayed here because I had errands nearby and knew I would be getting back late. What surprised me first was how well stocked the amenity bar in the lobby was. It’s a pick-what-you-need style, but they even had body towels and bath salts—truly thoughtful. I was especially happy that there were two types of skincare amenities, and I ended up enjoying using different ones in the morning and at night. The Room is compact and functional, and there were bottled water and snacks set out on the desk, which felt like a warm, considerate touch. Everything I needed—including a phone charger—was neatly placed within easy reach, so I didn’t have to search for anything at all, making my stay very comfortable. Being able to watch YouTube and TVer on the smart TV was also a great way to relax and enjoy some quiet time alone. Since I checked in late this time, I didn’t use the public bath. The only regret is that I missed happy hour—but that just gives me something to look forward to next time. Thank you very much.

    No mistakes!

    Thank you again for taking care of me on this trip to attend an event in Tokyo. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from Kitasenju Station. The welcome drink and sweets really hit the spot after traveling early in the morning from the countryside by JR and private railways. The newspapers in front of the front desk also made me genuinely happy, especially these days when value for money matters so much. And when I looked over at the male front desk staff member, he even pressed the elevator open/close button from inside the front desk—his attentiveness impressed me. Add to that the classic large public bath and massage chairs… pure bliss. And then, the breakfast I was looking forward to!!! Delicious—variety, presentation, flavor, and service are all spot on. It’s almost too good. I ate a hearty meal and then ran like crazy on my Imperial Palace run again, just like in my previous Review… I’ll be back soon for a Multiple Night Stay. It’s one of those places you want to tell everyone about—and also keep secret… A great Accommodation!

    From welcome drinks and amenities to enjoying the stone sauna in the large public bath, everything about this accommodation was perfect. It's well worth extending your stay to fully experience it.

    Always the best

    I have stayed here several times and always had a comfortable experience. I’ve been wanting to try the welcome drink, but I always end up going out for meals and miss the chance. Next time, I’ll definitely make use of it. This is truly a wonderful Hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

    Repeat Guests

    This was my second stay since my first visit, and I always choose this accommodation whenever I come to Kitasenju. Last time, I stayed in a smoking room, and this time as well, I opted for a smoking room. The room was clean and well-maintained as before, allowing me to enjoy a comfortable 2-night stay. However, unlike non-smoking rooms, there was still some lingering tobacco smell. This is understandable though. The large public bath was pleasant, and the free drinks (including alcohol) available from 17:00 to 20:00 were a nice touch—though I couldn't take advantage of it this time either. I hope to try it someday (as well as breakfast). I will definitely stay here again when I visit next time!

    First-time Use

    I stayed for one night and was very satisfied. The Room was exactly to my liking, and I was impressed by the massage chair. The welcome drink and unlimited beer were a delight. A must-visit for beer lovers. I would definitely like to stay again next time!

    Following Coco Grand Takasaki,

    I stayed at Coco Grand Takasaki alone about ten years ago after learning about it on TV. This time, I stayed at Coco Grand Kitasenju with a companion. The wooden floors in the room were lovely, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. Additionally, the attention to detail by the cleaning staff was impressive. (When I stepped out of my room and stood in front of the elevator, the button for going down had already been pressed—twice.) Was this part of employee training or individual thoughtfulness? I appreciated the happy hour drinks around 6 PM. However, it was a bit disappointing that there was only one glass worth left of my favorite red wine. If I may add a wish—it would have been perfect if it were my favorite [Syrah red wine]. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    A wonderful Hotel! Please promote it more!

    My spouse and I stayed for one night before attending separate conferences. What a surprise! In this era of booming inbound tourism, it's amazing to find such an affordable business hotel in Tokyo's 23 wards! Close to the station, with a large bath featuring a stone sauna and open-air bath, free-flow drinks during happy hour, welcome sweets, and even a massage chair in the room. All this for an effective price of just 8,000 yen per person—unbelievable. Honestly, I don't want to share this gem with anyone else. The room WiFi was initially unstable but was quickly fixed after informing the front desk. My only complaint would be that there’s just one elevator—but that’s understandable. One area for improvement could be the check-in process; we had to fill out various details like address and phone number even though we booked through IKYU.com and the hotel should already have that information. Many other hotels simply provide a pre-printed sheet where you only need to sign at check-in.

    First Stay

    This was my first time staying here! The accommodation is conveniently located quite close to the station. The room wasn't very spacious, but it was extremely clean, including the bathtub, and I had a very comfortable stay! I was surprised by the free-flow soft drinks and alcohol available from 17:00 to 20:00—it was amazing! Such services are greatly appreciated. The large public bath was also very relaxing. I couldn't try the breakfast due to time constraints, but I'll make sure to have it next time I stay here. For me, this was a truly wonderful hotel!

    It's an older property, but the exceptional hospitality made it truly wonderful.

    The Hotel was conveniently located less than a 5-minute walk from Kitasenju Station and offered excellent services. The Room had a massage chair, and women could enjoy the free stone sauna at the large public bath on a first-come, first-served basis. There were also welcome desserts, which was truly amazing. Although the building might be old, it was clean, and the staff were very kind, allowing me to relax comfortably. Thank you very much. I would love to stay here again when I visit Tokyo!

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    We stayed here for a change of pace as our child's school happened to have a weekday off. We were drawn to the various services listed on the website and chose this accommodation. Considering the price, we thought it was a great deal, but staying here exceeded our expectations by far. The facility was very clean and well-maintained, with no noise from neighboring rooms. The room's tea set included not only Japanese tea and black tea but also Doutor coffee packs and even Second Fresh tea leaves! The breakfast menu was abundant, delicious, and even included Chateraise desserts in the morning. The attention to detail was impressive—there were two types of slippers provided, and the bag for going to the large public bath had a cardholder for your room key (very convenient). It felt like everything you might need or want during your stay was thoughtfully provided without excess or shortage. What left a lasting impression was how all cleaning staff greeted us with smiles in the hallway—it brightened our mood from early in the morning. What people look for in accommodations varies from person to person, but if you're staying here expecting just a business hotel, you'll likely think it's an amazing hotel! I’m already looking forward to staying at other hotels in this chain.

    Next stop after Takasaki is Kitasenju.

    Takasaki was amazing, so this time we stayed in Kitasenju. It was a bit disappointing that there was only one indoor bath, but the Alice in Wonderland room exceeded all expectations and was fantastic! It really lifted our spirits! I would love to make another Reservation. Thank you so much, it was adorable!

    The Room was particularly excellent.

    The Room was spacious, and the bed and massage chair were comfortable. The public bath was smaller than expected, but the sauna and open-air bath were a nice addition. While expectations for happy hour and breakfast were high, the selection felt a bit lacking; however, overall it was a good experience.

    Better than expected...

    Better than expected accommodation. Although described as a "high-class business hotel," it feels more like a "small luxury hotel." First, the bed comes with three types of pillows. There are also two types of slippers and an accessory tray provided. The room's interior design is stylish as well. The room view is almost non-existent. The TV is small and not the latest model, which aligns with typical business hotels, but they offer DVD players for rent, which was helpful. I watched Handel's opera "Rinaldo." Despite the small screen size and close distance to the bed, it was sufficient for viewing comfortably. I checked in at 5:00 PM and happened to catch happy hour by chance. I enjoyed two glasses of beer and some welcome sweets from Don Remy. The area for drinks and sweets has a stylish atmosphere, though it's not very spacious. The breakfast buffet is simple with limited options but offers plenty of vegetables, which was great. In addition to salads, there were also simmered root vegetables available. Close to the station, clean rooms with DVD access, reasonable accommodation fees—overall a pleasant stay!

    Safe for solo female travelers

    The facility is a bit old, but it was well-cleaned and not bothersome. The front desk staff provided polite service. At the breakfast venue, there were many solo female guests, and with plenty of single seats available, it never felt crowded. However, the public bath is very small with only three washing stations. Waiting in the bathtub felt like I might overheat. It would have been better if it were a bit more spacious since I chose this accommodation for its bath facilities. Overall though, it's an affordable and reliable accommodation offering good value for money.

    A Hotel You'll Want to Visit Again!

    I visited for the first time, traveling from Osaka to Tochigi by car and then staying one night in Tokyo. The Hotel is located within a shopping street, so cars cannot pass through between 16:00-18:00. However, it’s close enough to walk to Kita-Senju Station. From here, I was able to visit attractions like Skytree and Meiji Shrine conveniently. The direct train access was especially helpful for beginners. The Hotel staff were polite and kind, the Room and large public bath were clean and comfortable. Amenities and breakfast were also excellent, making my stay very satisfying. For women, there is a reservation-only stone sauna available—highly recommended if you have time!
