    Quiet despite being close to the station!

    This was my second Hotel stay in Akabane. The staff were kind, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned and very spotless. There was also a laundry area, and best of all, despite being close to the station, I wasn’t bothered by train noise. I’d like to stay here again next time.

    This Hotel offers excellent value for money, and I always stay here whenever I visit Tokyo. Once again, I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, the attentive yet unobtrusive service, and the convenient location.

    With Akabane Station right next door, the location is excellent and easy to access. The Room was clean, and I had a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

    Due to an approachin...

    Due to an approaching typhoon, I had to extend my stay unexpectedly. As it was for work, there were various circumstances, but your phone support was very courteous, and I truly appreciated your kind suggestions. Even in that situation, you kindly accommodated my request for a higher floor with a good view. Once I arrived, I understood why—impressive indeed. While I had to stay indoors and couldn’t go out, being able to watch the Shinkansen trains moving was the most uplifting part of all. It really lived up to the reputation of JR Hotel Mets. I wanted to thank you in person, but I assumed the front desk staff and the person who assisted me by phone were different, so I couldn’t say anything—please excuse me. Although it was an anxious trip to Tokyo, I am sincerely grateful that I could stay with peace of mind. Thank you very much.

    Great location.

    Although it kept raining due to the typhoon, I arrived at the Hotel with hardly needing an umbrella. Breakfast was at Little Mermaid. It comes as a set with a sandwich, a sweet bread, and coffee—great value!

    Convenient and easy to use, with a great location.

    The location is excellent, so you’ll have no trouble finding places to shop or eat. The amenities are plentiful, and the coffee machine can also dispense hot water; tea bags (black tea and rooibos tea) are provided, which is a nice touch. Checking out via the Room TV is smart and convenient. Not only the front desk staff, but also the housekeeping staff greeted us whenever we met them, making our stay very pleasant.

    Reliable quality ope...

    Reliable quality operated by JR East. Not directly connected to the station, but located on the station forecourt—about a 1-minute walk from the ticket gates, with only a short uncovered section. The Room is clean throughout, including the bathroom area, and spacious enough. It’s slightly outside the Yamanote Line loop, but that makes it more reasonably priced. There are also many restaurants nearby, so I think it’s a convenient location for staying within Tokyo’s wards.

    Satisfied

    This was my first stay at JR East Hotel Mets. The price was reasonable, and I assumed it would be just “good enough” since I only needed a place to sleep—but I was pleasantly surprised. The Room faced the tracks (even though it was on the 8th floor), so I expected it to be noisy, but it was very quiet. It wasn’t completely silent, of course, but there were no sounds that disturbed my sleep. The shower pressure in the bathroom was strong and comfortable—almost like a massage. After stepping out of the bathroom, the individual air conditioning felt great, and the humidifying air purifier was soothing as well. The bed was spacious and very comfortable—no complaints at all. Being just a one-minute walk from the station is also a big plus. I honestly regret not choosing JR East Hotel Mets sooner.

    A pleasant stay experience

    1. Convenient access to the JR station, with plenty of dining options nearby (supermarkets, restaurants, fast food). Shopping is also convenient in the area (clothing, drugstores). 2. The plaza in front of the station can feel a bit disorderly at night, so it may not be suitable for families or solo travelers who are concerned about safety. 3. In triple rooms, the beds can be moved and pushed together, making it suitable for families traveling with children.

    Spacious beds for a business stay. Compact, yet the Room was functional. The female staff member at the front desk during check-in was pleasant.

    A Hotel with spacious baths and excellent convenience. The only drawback is breakfast.

    I stayed here for business, and the staff were very helpful. The Room size was fine; the bathroom was a 3-piece unit bath, but the bathtub was spacious and comfortable. My main concern was breakfast. Only being able to choose a small portion of rice seems unreasonable. With rice prices stabilizing, I would at least like the option of a regular serving. In addition, I would like basic items such as a vegetable salad and yogurt to be included free of charge.

    I didn’t notice wher...

    I didn’t notice where the bath towels were and only realized after calling the front desk. I’m sorry for the inconvenience late at night. The property is close to the station, and the Room was clean and comfortable, so I’d like to stay again!

    Ideal for concert stays

    I chose this hotel because it’s close to both the live music venue and the station. When I checked in around the evening, there was staff at the front desk, and they spoke to me as needed while I was checking in at the machine. Since my Room faced the station, I could see the platforms from the window. It seems best to keep the curtains closed in the morning. All amenities were available at the front desk, and I could also have coffee. I was surprised that there wasn’t a toothbrush in the Room, but otherwise I was satisfied. For breakfast, I used the bakery on the first floor. When I wasn’t sure how to use my breakfast ticket and got flustered, a staff member kindly showed me how, which I really appreciated.

    I’m grateful for the professional service from the staff, who always greet guests with a smile. That alone makes this Hotel well worth staying at. It’s also convenient to have a Denny’s on the second floor. It’s especially helpful after an evening concert or opera at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

    Exceeded expectations

    Check-in was completed at a machine and was easy. There weren’t many chances to speak with staff, so the service felt average. The bathroom left a good impression because the shower was easy to use. I also appreciated the free coffee in the lobby and used it many times. It’s also great that it’s right near the station. Akabane Station is lively, and although it was my first stay, I’d definitely come back!

    Great value for money.

    The location is very convenient, right in front of the station. The Denny's on the second floor shares an elevator with the accommodation, allowing direct access from the guest floors. Although I chose a no-accommodation plan, it was very convenient to use Denny's from 6 AM for an additional fee. There are many restaurants nearby, and the station has well-stocked convenience stores. Inside the station, there are tenants like Seijo Ishii and Ecute with eat-in spaces and bento options available. A shared microwave is available within the hotel, and each room has a kettle. The room and bathroom were clean. Amenities can be picked up from the front desk floor. For this price range, it was more than satisfactory.

    Great value

    Stayed with my wife, traveling by private car from the countryside. The parking is a free multi-story facility designated by the hotel, just a few minutes' walk away, which provides peace of mind for those unfamiliar with city driving. Having stayed here years ago for work, I noticed some changes in the front desk layout, but the cleanliness remains impressive. Located in Akabane, a food lover's paradise, there's no need to include meals as dining options are abundant nearby. Considering today's rising accommodation prices in Tokyo, this place offers great value. I look forward to staying here again.

    The sound of trains... The station platform is fully visible from the Room.

    The room and bathroom were clean. However, the wallpaper near the window was peeling slightly. Due to the location, I understand it can't be helped, but the train noise was extremely loud, making it hard to sleep. Just as I managed to fall asleep, I was woken up again when trains started running. Additionally, when entering the room, there was a thin curtain on the window through which the station platform was clearly visible. Why wasn’t the other curtain closed? It felt uncomfortable knowing we could be seen from the station. I immediately closed the thicker curtain as it felt unsettling and gave a sense of being watched. It would be great if guests could choose between rooms facing or not facing the station. I won’t stay here again.

    A small but sophisticated Business Hotel

    Although slightly away from the city center, the Hotel is conveniently located near a large shopping street and right next to the JR station. The Room is not very spacious but is very clean and equipped with amenities at the front desk. Breakfast is offered in partnership with two stores (a breakfast restaurant and a bakery) within a shopping mall. During my two-day stay, I tried both options—traditional Japanese breakfast on the first day and bread on the second day. Both were excellent!

    This stay was a very disappointing experience.

    The Room this time could not connect the PC to Wi-Fi, so it was changed to the 3rd floor on a lower level. Although the internet was accessible in the 3rd-floor lobby, it became inaccessible again upon entering the Room. In the end, it was a wasted effort. Additionally, the lower-floor Room had mosquitoes, and the water flow in the sink was poor. I use this Hotel once a month, but this time was truly a disappointing experience.

    Less than 2 minutes ...

    Less than 2 minutes from Akabane Station, offering excellent accessibility. Thank you for the room upgrade. The front desk staff were polite and pleasant, and self-check-in was easy. Amenities like toothbrushes could be picked up in the lobby. There was a coffee machine in the lobby as well. The room, including the bathroom, was clean and functional. Although it faced the tracks, the double windows kept it quiet, allowing me to enjoy watching trains arrive and depart. The Shinkansen passing at a slightly elevated level near Akabane Station was also enjoyable to see. I would love to stay here again if I have another opportunity!

    It was comfortable again this time.

    Convenient, clean, and as comfortable as always. One thing: there was dust on the bedside surface where you can place small items. Because it’s black, it really stood out. It’s the perfect spot to put a phone, so it’s noticeable. That was the only issue. I’d like to stay again.

    Because this was an urgent, last-minute stay, I was worried there would be no availability and I wouldn’t get the Room I wanted, but my concerns were unfounded. The Room was small but clean and functional, and I felt comfortable and had another pleasant stay. I’d like to stay again.

    Overall, highly satisfactory.

    The stay was comfortable. The cleaning was thorough, and disposable slippers were provided in the Room. However, since there were two staff members at the reception, it would have been nice if they had mentioned that there was a free coffee service available there. I ended up going outside to buy coffee as I didn't know it was available in the lobby. That was disappointing. Everything else was satisfactory.
